Figures.
Earlier today White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs mocked Sarah Palin by jotting a few notes on his hand prior to his meeting with the press.

Via BreitbartTV

Later at the White House press conference, Barack Obama surprised the journalists when he came in and called for an end of petty politics.
The AP reported:

Appealing for bipartisanship in a town where it’s lacking, President Obama sat down with Democrats and Republicans Tuesday to spur cooperation on job creation, deficit reduction and health care overhaul. He promised to do his part — but warned he would take Republicans to task if they don’t do the same.

“The people who sent us here expect a seriousness of purpose that transcends petty politics,” Obama said afterward, making a surprise appearance in the White House briefing room.

He started his remarks to reporters by engaging in a bit of wishful thinking: joking about Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid and Republican leader Mitch McConnell “out doing snow angels together on the South Lawn.”

But the friendly rhetoric quickly gave way to tougher talk.

“We can’t afford grandstanding at the expense of actually getting something done,” Obama said. “What I won’t consider is doing nothing.”

Obama ticked off several areas where he said cooperation should be easy. But most of the ideas on which he called for bipartisanship were ones he favors, whether it was job creation (money for infrastructure repairs, small business tax cuts and lending, tax breaks for energy efficiency improvements), health care (extending coverage and making it more affordable) or deficit cutting (a bipartisan commission).

Of course, this surprises no one.

More… This is also the same day that a top White House official wrote that Obama critics are serving Al-Qaeda.

Bill O’Reilly slammed Jim VandeHei from Politico last night for defending the state-run media’s atrocious coverage of the National Tea Party Convention. The media published only 2 favorable reports on the event out of hundreds.

O’Reilly accused VandeHei of lying about the media’s coverage of the event:
(Via BreitbartTV)

Bill O’Reilly said this in his Talking Points Memo before destroying VandeHei:

As you may know, the Tea Party held a convention in Nashville over the weekend. Sarah Palin was the keynote speaker and spent some time defining the movement, beginning with President Obama…

The Factor” began to research the mainstream media’s coverage of the Tea Party. We found only two – two — positive comments amidst thousands of reports: one by The Detroit News, the other by the Associated Press.

I mean, this is stunning. The establishment media cannot even admire the spirit of the movement, that is Americans getting involved and trying to improve their country.

Look at it this way. You can disagree with the Tea Party people, but the spirit of honest citizen involvement in government is noble. Is it not?

Yes, the Tea Party deal has elements of extremism in it. For example, I think folks who push the birther nonsense are very misguided and some of those people embrace the Tea Party.

But the American media will never embrace the Tea Party. Why? Well, generally speaking, they look down on the folks. They think you are dumb.

But the Tea Party is around, and it’s only going to get stronger.

And that’s “The Memo.”

Good for Bill for pointing out the obvious bias.

Heathrow Airport employees copied and distributed nake scanner pictures of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan this week.

The pictures were supposed to be immediately destroyed after passengers proceed through the gate.
Prison Planet reported:

Claims on behalf of authorities that naked body scanner images are immediately destroyed after passengers pass through new x-ray backscatter devices have been proven fraudulent after it was revealed that naked images of Indian film star Shahrukh Khan were printed out and circulated by airport staff at Heathrow in London.

UK Transport Secretary Lord Adonis said last week that the images produced by the scanners were deleted “immediately” and airport staff carrying out the procedure are fully trained and supervised.

“It is very important to stress that the images which are captured by body scanners are immediately deleted after the passenger has gone through the body scanner,” Adonis told the London Evening Standard.

Adonis was forced to address privacy concerns following reports that the images produced by the scanners broke child pornography laws in the UK. When the scanners were first introduced, it was also speculated that images of famous people would be ripe for abuse as the pictures produced by the devices make genitals “eerily visible” according to journalists who have investigated trials of the technology.

Obama Flashback: “I will never question the patriotism of others in this campaign.”

But that was back in 2008.

The Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism advisor to the White House John Brennan wrote today that those who criticize Team Obama’s dangerous and naive national security decisions are only serving Al-Qaeda.
USA Today reported, via HotAir:

Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda. Terrorists are not 100-feet tall. Nor do they deserve the abject fear they seek to instill. They will, however, be dismantled and destroyed, by our military, our intelligence services and our law enforcement community. And the notion that America’s counterterrorism professionals and America’s system of justice are unable to handle these murderous miscreants is absurd.

Man, these cut-and-runners are goofy. You point out how weak they are on national security and suddenly you’re serving Al-Qaeda?
That doesn’t even make sense.

Andrew Breitbart raised the roof at the National Tea Party Convention this weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. The speech was revolutionary. Andrew stood in front of the media and in 33 minutes declared war on their corruption and contempt for the American people.

Founding Bloggers posted the entire brilliant speech on YouTube in four parts, but if you would like to view some of the highlights, you can click on any of the eight links below:

Sarah Palin let the Obama Administration have it Saturday night.

But that won’t stop Team Obama from pushing their hopey-changey socialist crap.
Michelle Obama defended her husband today from recent attacks insisting that, “Change isn’t easy and doesn’t happen overnight.”
But it sure hurts.
Good Morning America reported:

“I think my husband has done a phenomenal job staying on course, looking his critics in the eye, coming up with clear solutions against staying the course,” Michelle Obama told Robin Roberts in an exclusive morning television interview on “Good Morning America.” “That’s what leadership is. But people have the right to criticize the President of the United States.”

Michelle Obama’s comments came in response to recent criticism from Sarah Palin who told TEA Party conventioneers in Nashville, Tenn., this weekend she wants to ask Obama supporters, “How is that hope-y, change-y stuff working out for you?”

“Rightfully, some people are frustrated, right?” Michelle Obama said. “But one of the things that Barack Obama said and continues to say is change isn’t easy and it doesn’t happen overnight. And it certainly doesn’t happen in a year.”

“It’s not, he’s not done yet. He’s got more time,” she said.

Obama tripled the national deficit in one year and watched unemployment soar to 9.7%.
America can’t stand much more of this hopey-change.

These statists won’t be happy until they control your every breath…
A recent scientific study released by a group of American scientists insists that third-hand smoke is harmful and may cause cancer.

Lara Gundel, a co-author of the study, is a staff member of the Obama government’s Environmental energy Technologies Division.

The Age reported:

You know smoking is bad for you. You know inhaling someone else’s smoke is bad for you. Now a US study says third-hand smoke — tobacco residue clinging to surfaces — is also bad for you.

When a cigarette burns, nicotine is released in the form of a vapor that collects and condenses on indoor surfaces such as walls, carpeting, drapes and furniture, where it can linger for months, said the study, which was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).

“Our study shows that when this residual nicotine reacts with ambient nitrous acid it forms carcinogenic tobacco-specific nitrosamines, or TSNAs,” said Hugo Destaillats, a corresponding author of the study.

“TSNAs are among the most broadly acting and potent carcinogens present in unburned tobacco and tobacco smoke,” he said.

The most likely human exposure to TSNAs is through either inhalation of dust or the contact of skin with carpet or clothes — making third-hand smoke particularly dangerous to infants and toddlers.

Ken Solomon added:

I’ll be damned if a few leftist, do-gooder, ‘we-know-what’s-best-for-you’, maniacs get to decide what you can do with a fully legal product in the privacy of your own home and vehicle.

Cass Sunstein and his merry band of Marxist assistants to Obama are ‘nudging’ your individual freedoms, liberties and Rights straight out from under you.

This ‘third-hand-smoke’ garbage is a perfect example. It starts with a ’study’ of a legal thing that some folks don’t like being legal. The study gets done by an agenda-driven entity, usually financed by a taxpayer-funded government grant. Then, since there’s almost never any challenge to any of the results and ’scientific’ publicity because the results are always written as “it’s for the children”, something gets put to Congress about banning or regulating whatever the study was about.

The great Pamela Geller from Atlas Shrugs destroyed Ron Reagan Jr., Joy Behar and her other hateful liberal guest on the Behar Show last night. Geller gave Ron Jr. the spanking he never had, but needed. You can tell she got under that naughty boy’s skin. He looked like he was going to cry.

Behar and her elitist panelists were bashing the former governor for her palm reading in Nashville:

Terrific job, Pamela!

The Pakistani Taliban leader Hakimullah Mahsud died from injuries suffered in a US drone attack. (Chicago Tribune)

Mahsud was engineer of a devastating series of suicide attacks including the attack that killed 7 CIA officials in Afghanistan in December.
The LA Times reported, via Free Republic:

The Pakistani Taliban confirmed Tuesday that their leader, Hakimullah Mahsud, died from injuries suffered in a U.S. drone missile strike last month, an attack that forces the insurgency to find a new leader for the second time in six months.

The death of Mahsud, engineer of a devastating series of suicide attacks and raids on markets, mosques and security installations across Pakistan in the latter half of 2009, gives the U.S. another major victory in its ongoing campaign of drone missile strikes against top Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders.

A drone strike last August killed Mahsud’s predecessor, Baitullah Mahsud. Missiles fired by drones over Pakistan’s tribal areas along the Afghan border have also killed 15 senior Al Qaeda commanders since 2004.

However, experts do not expect the loss of Hakimullah Mahsud, 28, to deal a fatal blow to the Taliban as it battles the government in the country’s northwest.

“Miss me yet?”
Yes.

After President Obama tripled the national deficit in one year and nearly doubled the unemployment number compared to the previous administration’s average, a mysterious George W. Bush billboard popped up in Minnesota off of Interstate 35.
BreitbartTV reported:

Not even bluestate Minnesota is safe for the hopey-changers.

Related… President Spend-a-lot’s approval numbers hit a new low today. Just 44% of registered voters approve of Obama’s job as president.
