14 Americans died in separate helicopter crashes today making October one of the bloodiest months for US troops since the invasion in 2001.
Breitbart reported:

A series of helicopter crashes killed 14 Americans in insurgent-wracked Afghanistan on Monday, the U.S. military said. It was one of the deadliest days of the war for U.S. troops.

In the first crash, a chopper went down in the west of the country after leaving the scene of a firefight with insurgents, killing 10 Americans—seven troops and three civilians working for the government. Eleven American troops, one U.S. civilian and 14 Afghans were also injured.

In a separate incident in the south, two other U.S. choppers collided while in flight, killing four American troops and wounding two more, the military said…

Taliban spokesman Qari Yusuf Ahmedi claimed Taliban fighters shot down a helicopter in northwest Badghis province’s Darabam district. It was impossible to verify the claim and unclear if he was referring to the same incident.

Please remember their families in your thoughts and prayers.

Related… US troops today hope that their Afghanistan efforts are not in vain.

Forty-six dead this month alone. I am just heartsick and very, very angry at the lack of support our troops are receiving by their CIC. May God bring comfort to the families of our fallen heroes.

This is certainly a tragedy. My brother was a marine helo pilot (super stallions–he just got out of the service), and, gauging by the scope of the fatalities, it could involve some of his former squadron.

In regards to the collision, it is important to keep in mind that this accident could have happened in war or peace.

My thoughts are with the families of all involved.

I’m heartbroken by the continual loss of lives by our brave troops. Meanwhile, Hopey McChangerson has played golf more in the first nine months of his administration than Pres. Bush did in the first 2.5 years of his term. Remember how the media howled in protest every time Bush even broke into a smile? “He shouldn’t be having fun! Our troops are dying in Iraq! He’s horrible.” But the rules are different for Hopey; Nero fiddles while Rome burns and the Obama-butt-boy media doesn’t care.

Heroes one and all. They died for freedom, the highest cause for which one can give their life. Godspeed in your new journey, warriors.

The real danger in America’s lack of resolve in AfPak is it encourages our enemies to supply the Talib and AQ with weapons they would never get if the US was focused and determined to win in AfPak.
My fear is our boys and girls will soon be facing manpads in enough numbers to be a lethal threat to helicopters. Which countries would do it? Any number. Iran, China, Pakistan. All will benefit from the collapse of American power in the region. Never underestimate Russian mischief either. What’s to stop their military supplies to Iran ending up with the Talib?

Obama wants to get American soldiers killed. He’s not American, he’s the enemy within. Don’t let that “kind,” smile fool you, he’s SATAN. And all those that are silent are helping him. How did the CIA and FBI allow an enemy to gain access to the highest office in the land? Oh I know, ABC,CBS,NBC,CNN,MSNBC,the other enemies to the country! Good God, when will someone stand up to the USURPER?

Its very easy to rap for Obama when your safely installed in college while other youths are being sacrificed in a war. If these students love the CIC so much let them join those troops. Yeah that’ll happen when Hell freezes over.

Its obvious to all but the braindead that Obama and the media care nothing about American’s sacrifices. One Term President mm mm mm.

Bring them back to America; they need to storm the Whitehouse, Congress, and the Senate, and turf those Democrats out on their backsides for treason.
