It’s come to this.

This photo released by the Venezuelan Presidency show Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez (L) during a meeting with US actor Sean Penn (R), at the presidential palace in Caracas, on October 28. Penn may film a movie in Venezuela, according to Chavez. (AFP/PRESIDENCIA)

After courting the Marxist Castro brothers in Cuba Sean Penn met with Marxist and leftist hero Hugo Chavez in Venezuela today.
He will pass a message from Chavez to Obama when he returns to the US.
THR reported:

President Hugo Chavez said he met privately with actor Sean Penn on Wednesday, and that the Oscar-winning celebrity may film a movie in Venezuela .

Penn may shoot a film based on a novel by Cuban writer Alejo Carpentier, which is set largely in the jungle along Venezuela ’s southern Orinoco river, Chavez said. He appeared to be referring to Carpentier’s 1953 novel, “The Lost Steps,” about an American anthropologist and composer’s journey into the jungle region.

Penn’s publicist could not immediately be reached for comment.

Chavez added that he discussed politics with Penn, who said he would soon see U.S. President Barack Obama. Chavez said he’d asked Penn to tell Obama he should take action to earn his Nobel Peace Prize , and should scrap a plan for the U.S. military to increase its presence at bases in Colombia.

“They gave him the Nobel Prize, very well, now he should earn it,” the socialist leader said, paraphrasing an open letter by documentary filmmaker Michael Moore to the U.S. president.

Chavez also applauded Moore’s work, and dismissed comments the director made during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on ABC earlier this month. Moore said he’d drunk tequila with Chavez at the Venice Film Festival and offered the Venezuelan president suggestions for an upcoming speech at the United Nations .

I think it would be a great idea for Sean Penn to renounce his citizenship here, and nationalize to Venezuela.

Would probably be better for him if he did. Why live somewhere you aren’t wanted?

The message from chavez no doubt will be a long kiss using a lot of tongue that penn will deliver himself.
” Moore said he’d drunk tequila with Chavez at the Venice Film Festival and offered the Venezuelan president suggestions” as to how to prepare and eat children.

But, why? I thought obama and chavez were friends, I thought I read a report recently they were in communication, via telephone, concerning mutual interests, Honduras, iran, etc. Why would penn need to be an intermediary? Perhaps he can convey chavez’s nuanced approach to the USA? Seeing as they are on the same wave-length? Oh, but wait, so is obama!

Oh no! There are actually diplomatic talks going on, can’t have that. Especially with someone like Chavez who dares to challenge the rich elites of his country and spread the oil wealth around, that’s something Republicans REALLY look down upon.

Murder rate in Venezuela is now over that of the entire USA, and the population of Venezuela is less than California. I wonder what is causing that? Could it be government death squads weeding out the opposition. Opposition leaders seem to die frequently in Venezuela.

I recall that in “The Falcon and the Snowman,” Penn plays a drug smuggler who gets captured and tortured by the Mexican police. It’s too bad he doesn’t realize that enemies of Chavez get the same treatment.

Dictators like Chavez and Castro always seem charming, personable, good-intentioned and harmless…until their goons attach the electrodes to your testicles.

Presently Venezuela is rationing their electricity and for two days there will be NO electricity (except of course at the Presidential Palace, Miraflores) and this “off/on” rationing of electricity is expected to last for five years and the present water rationing for the next six months.

I wonder if Sean Penn and Co. will be included in the 2 min. shower and the days without electricity? I imagine that to show solidarity with the Venezuelan people, he will adhere to the rationing. (Yeah, right)

I just love how these dictators ask for sacrifices from their people but do not adhere to any themselves. Maybe Sean Penn should ask Chavez how much money he has spent on shoes and suits in the past year. I wonder if Penn would feel the same way if all his money was taken away and he would have to make movies and pay all of his salary to the government and receive a stipend of $100/month. I am sure he will be singing a different tune then.

Penn and Michael Moore should become a citizen and move to Venezulea. That way we don’t have to hear about them anymore. Penn is a worse Hollywood actor.

People who like to speak with authority about Venezuela have probably never been there. My most recent trip was in April. We pulled up to an outdoor cafe in Santa Teresa de Tuy at 2:30 p.m. and watched a couple of teenagers with guns rob the place. This is typical and the crime has become more frequent and more brutal since Chavez. Ask yourself, where in the world can you buy a CD, enter your SSN and see how you voted in the last 4 or 5 elections? Yep, in Venezuela. The first election using computerized voting machines was sanctioned by Jimmy Carter. Ask a Venezuelan living in the US about the parallels between Chavez’s moves and President Obama.

Sean Penn never saw a glass of Koolaid he didn’t love–he’s a useful idiot, nothing more. His movies suck as well, gone way downhill as an actor and he’s no storyteller, a hack writer and director…so off to cuba, venezuela, and to any other totalitarian regime where he can smooch the collective butts of dictators and elitist thugs alike.

Somehow I think were at the common man are of little importance to people like Mr. Penn. They seem to care more about these damn leaders in countries who are dictators like they wish they were. They act like Castro’s a great guy because he has people put to death. I think they believe they are some sort of public leaders, they aren’t. They believe they lead us, the little people and should tell us how to live our lives and we can’t live without them. I bet Sean Penn believes it would be better if the people in Venezuala were subject to a terrible economy as we should be too, after all we’re all not as great as he is.

Sean Pean should move to Cuba or Venezuela…. an live like any common guy… and let’s see how long he would last. He would be begging to come back….Of course, if he is rich and inlfluential, he would be in paradise. The same advise to Moore, if he doesn’t like the US…leave!!!!

This man has a serious psychiatric disorder. Really. I truly believe that he thinks he is an important emmissary from the USA who is discussing interational/geopolitical issues with the leader of another nation. I TRULY believe that his acting carreer and his real life have somehow melded together and THIS KNUCKLEHEAD THINKS HE IS ACTUALLY HAVING AN IMPACT ON US/VENEZUELAN POLITICAL ISSUES…I cannot help laughing hysterically at this joker. what a narcissistic piece of garbage…SLEF-AGRANDIZING CREEP…JUST LIKE THE DUNDERHEAD IN THE WHITE HOUSE
