“The White House did just e-mail saying that interaction with Jake Tapper was not heated.”

White House emails directions to MSNBC…
The Obama White House emailed MSNBC during a live broadcast to “correct” them on their coverage of the administration’s attacks on FOX News.

It was nice of MSNBC to admit that they were taking direction from the White House. It’s not like it was a secret.

So when can we expect the White House to call the Glenn Beck hotline guy sporting the Mao outfit?

OK. The most stunning thing in all this is that they (the WH and MSNBC) see nothing wrong with any of this. That is just sickening.

Okay, time for a bit of Conservative activist fun with this concept. The thrill that MSNBC must feel to know that they are “live” with the WH at all times is waaayy too tempting to leave with the amateurs at the WH.

Can’t we all start flooding MSNBC with WH spoof editorial remarks? I nominate Jim Treacher.

The White House emailed them in real time?

Could they be more unprofessional and desperate? Awaiting the text “dont B a h8r!” from the communications director, next…

I feel like Diogenes, only I’m not waiting for just an honest man, but for the grownups to show up.

You just know they got an immediate follow up email scolding them for mentioning the first email.

The fact that the White house sits around all day watching TV so they can reply instantly to all the gossip is disturbing. Don’t they have a few more important things to tend to?

In the meantime, take time out of your day today to pray for those that are unemployed. Another 11,000 filed last week, plus 6,000 for last weeks “adjustment”, plus 98,000 fell off the rolls last week. There are about 6 million without work, 9 million if you include those who have given up. That is a lot of hurting people.

The woman is right. We are the ones freaking out about White House control of MSNBC. Would she release that email? How about showing us all other emails from the White House “advising” them. Would they come on the air and explain when this relationship began? Then, perhaps they could explain to us all why they think this is ok.

    Obama’s ‘authoritarian media practices’ slammed

[All freedom-loving Americans and independent-minded journalists must be concerned about the authoritarian actions practiced in recent days by Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign, which cut off future interviews to a local news network after its anchor dared to ask legitimate but pressing questions to Democrat vice presidential candidate Sen. Joe Biden.

The boycott move is a direct threat to what little is left of America’s free press, highlighting to reporters the ramifications of questioning the Obama campaign on issues it doesn’t want to talk about.

As a Mideast reporter, I’ve seen this kind of action before. It’s routinely practiced by Middle East dictators and has resulted in an intimidated press corps which toes the jihadist line, in part out of fear of having their contacts cut off.

    [..]

The type of media oppression evidenced by the Obama camp is regularly practiced in the Middle East, where (excluding Israel) independent journalism is virtually nonexistent. Most media outlets in my neck of the woods are state run. [..]

The outlook for the already grim future state of reporting
during an Obama administration just faded to black.]

We elected a child, and a bunch of people who never grew out of their hippie adolescence. Schoolyard cliques, favoritism, and bullying is to be expected. Next time, maybe we will elect someone who has had a real job at some point in his or her life. If not, we’ll get more tantrums, indecision, and unicorns.

Didn’t they even stop to think of what it would *look like* to viewers to admit that they get emails during a live broadcast, from the white house, correcting them on what the w.h. wants them to say?

Hilarious!!! Yes – I can’t wait to hear the commentary about this on Glenn’s show!

P.S. – This must also mean that everything Glenn has reported on his show has been accurate because the assigned Maoist-loving, Fox News watching czar Commie Anita Dunn, has not called in (or used a carrier pigeon – HA!) to correct what Glenn is presenting on his show!

Glen I remember a movie from the 60’s or 70’s that reminds me of Obama care. The movie starts out with financial and health care problems for the government. The people running the government come to the conclusion that anyone over the age of 70 was of no use due to their high cost of their living and of no use financialy. They were killed for that reason, and then the 50 year old kill those over 60 for the same reason this progresses until the preteen say the same thing about the teenagers and plot their death. The movie gave me the chills then and still does but no one can remember when I tell them about it. Was this amovie or did I just dream about today?

I’ve never done it, but I understand that spoofing email headers isn’t too difficult…

I wonder how long it will be before some enterprising hacker emails MSNBC a ‘correction’ during a live broadcast that DOESN’T really come from the White House which MSNBC blindly puts on air.

Since this whole broughaha began, Fox has been picking up more moderate and independent voters. A recent survery showed that 50% of Fox viewers are moderates and independents. Who watches MSNBC? Only the brain-dead and Democrats. (— with my apologies for the redundancy.)
