“Based on his appointments and based on who he’s got with him he’s the most left president that I’ve seen in my lifetime.”

Bill O’Reilly
The Factor
October 19, 2009

Bill O’Reilly ripped on President Obama and his radical Far Left administration tonight.
Brit Hume joined in. The two discussed Team Obama’s attacks on FOX News including the latest directive from the White House to the state-run media to “isolate” the poopular fair and balanced network.

This was classic O’Reilly.

Bill gets it.

didn’t oreilly just recently certified obama a US citizen? I thought they were best friends.

Fox news has refuse to touch the “birth certificate” issue, now the obama administration has turned against them.

Maybe it’s time for Fox news to start investigating Obama’s background 24/7. Let’s see if Fox news is really a news organization and uncover the truth.

Bill doesn’t get it. They (Hume and O’reilly)are discussing obama’s vendetta against Fox while the iranians, russians, chinese, and chavez eat us alive (what is left of our country after obama and the dems are through gnawing on it).

    I love O’Relly, but he isn’t perfect.

He needs a dose of humility.

I keep hearing him tout his audience numbers over the libtard cable networks’ dearth of nitwits.

Someone tell Bill, that don’t mean nothing. B/C “in the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.”

Even O’Reily doesn’t get the connection with Ayres. Obama and Ayres were on the same committees, Obama gave grants to Ayres for his school. If only O’Reily would do the vetting that Beck does, he might be surprised to find how little he knows.

The reality is, Hillary and Bill were nearly as left wing – giving us all a massive tax increase, wanting to Nationalize Health Care, blocking welfare reform, producing Ginsberg for the SC, etc. The Clintons were just as collectivist, but they lied better. Besides, so many of the folks in the Obama Administration are former Clinton Official Failures.

My point is, that the Democratic Party has been far more to the extreme than Bill wants to admit. It is this perception that some still try to suggest the Democrats have ‘moderates’ or ‘centrists’, that creates a mess at the voting booth.

O’Reilly has been pushing a rather insulting facade of being ‘above the fray’, showing some really tired productions that are completely watered down.

Bill O’Reilly probably senses he is losing face every day by playing it safe about the Democratic Party mess we see on daily basis.

O’Reilly was rather embarrassed the last time he spoke with Laura Ingraham. She correctly addressed the NO SPINNER as rather wishful thinking.

Narciso writes: “He doesn’t really believe that, otherwise he wouldn’t have thrown so many softballs in that interview last fall”

Someone once — correctly — referred to O’Reilly as The Terminally Self-Referential Bill O’Reilly” which accurately characterizes him in my opinion. In his quest for ratings, he is like a bookie: he positions himself squarely in the middle of an argument to maximize his ratings. But, if you are in the business of selling your show, then that’s what one does. So therefore, I always take his rants (with his affected working class speech, “dis guy”, “youse”, etc.) with a grain of salt.

It is, therefore, a bellwether that he engages in this discussion with Britt Hume, who is increasingly being dragged out of retirement to comment and whose opinion I respect highly. It is also instructive that Britt goes on and on in this and nudges O’Reilly out of the limelight. The normally restrained Hume characterizing Obama’s regime as “left-of-left-of center” is instructive. He joins the equally deft Chris Matthews in classifying this administration as commies and crybabies.

But, my gratuitous slam of Bill O’Reilly aside, he, Wallace, Hannity, Van Sustern, Beck, et al are sure making a bagful of money on this. Someone said someplace that Fox’s 3:00 AM ratings exceed CNN and [P]MSNBC’s prime time ratings.

Obama will meet his Waterloo somewhere down the road in his first term and it will be heralded by a fusilade of shots from his former adoring Knee-pad media who realize they have a turd — albeit a polished turd — on their hands.

Meanwhile, the cottage industry of punditry, authors, and bloggers continues on, benefiting from the traffic and business of we good and ordinary citizens who seek to restore our country to some semblance of what it once was. Hey, do I mind dropping $30 on Michelle Malkin’s book on the slime that leaked out of Chicago and found it’s way to cesspool called the Obama administration?

    Not in the slightest!

Bill’s still tanking it. He’s trying to show a stiffer spine, but it is too late. You watch he’ll start saying the things he knows are true only AFTER Obama is on the ropes. If Obama stays upright, Bill will stay away.

He’s more a girlie man that he lets on.

Voyska PVO, “a bagful of money” is exactly what Fox News is going to make out of this showdown. People love a good fistfight. When it is played out in the media (mudpit) the pigs will love it (media) and both sides will get dirty. It can only lower the stature of the white house even more than Obama’s common-touch has already done.

Bill O’Really is arrogant, condescending and ill-informed.

For the first time, he had his team do some fact checking last week to find that Rush never said what he was accused of saying, and he had the guts to claim that they are the best in the business.

To this day, BOR still will not research and accept the words of Congressional Medal of Honor recipients and other Veterans over the uncorroborated lies of John Kerry, the one who went to Viet Nam you know. He still accept the idea that Kerry was “swift-boated” rather than having been brought down by the truth.

His discussions of Obamacare are also the most superficial on FOX. For example, he is unwilling to admit that the “coops” are just the government option in a different name. If the government puts up the cash for the coops, the government will run them indirectly if not directly, and dictate all the terms – look at what happened with the car dealerships; with the salaries at the financial institutions; the Chairman at GM; etc.

He needs a dose of humility.

He keeps bragging about his vastly larger audience than his idiot/lib cable competitors. Truth. The libs can’t attract sufficient numbers of morons, any more.

    That’s pretty good, Bill.

You must temper your enthusiasm b/c “in the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.”

I think even a congressman or a journalist can ‘get’ that.

Michael writes” “BOR is starting to sweat. The factor may be moved to the 5:00 slot and to Beck to the prime time 8:00! LOL”

This is why O’Reilly started to have Beck (the personality, not the beer) on his show in regular segments. It is gratifying to see that others here find him opportunistic and condescending. But, in fairness, O’Reilly is the guy who kooks ‘em and reels ‘em in over at Fox. The large component of his audience is, I am sure, comprised of the people who do not suffer from ODS (as I freely admit I do) and just want some middle-of-the-road reportage.

Madame Opus: It is gratifying to see Levin, Malkin, Beck, and — yes — even Dick Morris rake in the loot on this. And FNC’s ratings will continue to the stratosphere. As we discussed last week, Hannity gets repetitious, spouting his five-to-ten talking points over and over. But, after a hard day of listening to the outrages that one laughingly refers to as governance by this administration, the first 10 minutes of Hannity emptying his magazine on the idiots is pure tonic for me..

..best accompanied by the aforementioned Beck’s or a Pauli Girl or a Newcastle (Mrs. Войска ПВО’s elixir of choice) and chased by a couple of fingers of Jack.

Take it from a cynical voter – we haven’t had a true left president since FDR, and he accomplished great things that have made this country what you love today. Our system is self balancing. If Obama goes too far left the voters will correct things just like they did with Bush. Have some faith in this country and don’t worry so much about Obama. He’s mostly a wuss so it won’t get too too liberal.

I can’t stand Fox News anymore. They all know Obama is a Usurper and they have the power to investigate him and they don’t. All sellouts.

This is the ONLY issue that would get you rid of this Usurper… the ONLY issue and they don’t use it. WHY? What are they afraid of? Were they told not to discuss this issue?

Big deal if they trash Obama’s admistration, that doesn’t hurt him one bit. He will replace them with other losers.. or by worst ones. And he will still be the Usurper Dictator in Chief.

FCC-Church Conspiracy to Silence Talk Radio and Fox?
    http://spectator.org/archives/2009/10/20/fcc-church-conspiracy-to-silen/print

[It invited me as a UCC member to join a "fast from media violence" sponsored by So We Might See. The invitation says:

Does violence in the media, particularly hate speech against immigrants, impact levels of actual violence?

That's the question we will be asking during the 2009 Media Violence Fast, October 19-26. We invite your participation at http://www.mediaviolencefast.org.

So far so usual. The staff of my denomination, lovely people I'm sure, are in fact hardcore left-wingers in their politics, even though UCC pews are filled with politically self-identified conservatives.

Then came the interesting part, or, if you will, the part that sent a chill through my radio. Reverend Guess, on behalf of my own denomination -- without so much as a by-your-leave to the rank-and-file 1.2 million members -- made plain, in the name of the United Church of Christ that:

As a participant, you will be asked to sign a petition to the Federal Communications Commission asking that it open a notice of inquiry into hate speech in the media. We will also urge the National Telecommunications and Information Agency to update its 1993 report, The Role of Telecommunications in Hate Crimes.

Read the key phrases again. "Open a notice of inquiry into hate speech in the media." Meaning, church members are being asked to sign on to an already-in-progress petition to the FCC that is opening the door to legal sanctions from the federal government on "hate speech in the media."

    Targets?

Together, we can express our concern about the frequency and tone of anti-immigrant remarks made by several TV and radio commentators, such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage and Lou Dobbs.

Hate speech in the media is a growing problem that must be examined before it can be solved.

So I took a look at this petition to Commissioner Copps, properly made out in the finest protocol to his colleague, the new Obama FCC Commissioner Julius Genachowski. Also listed in the formal address was Lawrence E. Strickling the new Obama Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information. And what did I find there?]

Ever since O’s interview w/ O’Reilly, there has been a notable shift in O’Reilly’s reportage.

He, himself, is now left of center- at least in his criticism (mild, at best) of The One.

Contrast that to Beck’s truth telling/fact finding mission.
