Every once in a blue moon a state-run media analyst nails it…
This weekend it was Marisa Guthrie from Broadcasting and Cable Magazine who delivered the blow to the Obama Administration:

    Well put.
Although, this really is something. What the heck is one of the legitimate news organizations doing giving FOX kudos?

It’s about damn time. Maybe they actually looked at the ratings.

I hope he stays distracted by Fox News. Better than him actually doing something. And by doing something, I mean f*cking more of everything up.

I think CNN may be waking up to the old “First they came for Rush Limbaugh and we did nothing….then they came for Fox…” I don’t think they care to be next.

It’s exactly what I’ve been saying for many months. The man wants to “talk” with ImInMyDinnerJacket in Iran, CutOffMe in Syria and Chubette in South America, but he can’t handle FOXNews???

I strongly suspect this entire fiasco is the work of Emanuel and his band of near-do-wells, with a wink and a nod from their fraud in the White House.

Somewhere Vladimir Putin is laughing is arse off.

White House to Fox News: How Dare You Check Our ‘Facts’
    http://www.gopusa.com/theloft/?p=7

[Rather than realize they are employing a game plan that will fail, the Obama team has escalated the war. Now they are not only refusing to supply any guests for Fox News programs, but they are also telling other news networks to "join the administration in declaring that Fox is 'not a news organization.'" Remember the picture that Obama and the media painted of him? He was supposed to be the person that brought the country together, right? What we are seeing through his use of race-baiting, prior administration bashing, and now the attacks against Fox News is that the arrogance and elitism of him and his advisors knows no bounds.]

[Axelrod and Emanuel might have at least made the talking point a little less obvious. But basically this is a straight up equation. If two alleged Senior White House advisers spend their Sunday talk show time telling other networks that a popular and growing cable news channel isn’t really a news channel, then they aren’t really Senior advisers to the President of the United States.]

I’m almost as tired hearing FOX whine about the president not coming on FOX as I am about the White House stooges whining about FOX.

I like FOX as the only Obama-free channel on cable. Let’s keep it that way.

“I like FOX as the only Obama-free channel on cable. Let’s keep it that way.”

I don’t care if I ever see his mug on Fox again – or any of his minions. It’s bad enough they had to interrupt Glenn Beck one day to televise one of Obummer’s speeches. That was a sad day, indeed.

After we vote him out after just over three more years, I hope never to hear the words “Let me be clear” and “The PREVIOUS administration” again!

BTW, how long is he going to say things like “mopping up” after the previous administration and junk like that? This is OBAMA’s deficit, OBAMA’s economy, and soon to be OBAMA’s failed war in Afghanistan.

Dunn discloses: We ‘control’ the media.

[President Obama’s presidential campaign focused on “making” the news media cover certain issues while rarely communicating anything to the press unless it was “controlled,” White House Communications Director Anita Dunn disclosed to the Dominican government at a videotaped conference.

“Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn’t actually control,” said Dunn.

    [..]

Dunn was speaking at a January 12, 2009 event focusing on Obama’s media tactics and hosted by the Global Foundation Democracy and Development, which seeks to promote collaboration between the U.S. and the Dominican Republic. The event was held in Santo Domingo and was attended by the country’s president.]

Soledad O’Brien is such a phony. In April 2008, Reverend Jeremiah Wright gave a speech in Detroit to the NAACP.  One of the things that  he said in this speech was that black and white children learn with different parts of their brain, and then gave an “unflattering imitation of the way white pastors speak.”  Peoples comments were that he gave a racial speech. Soledad  O’Brien, on CNN, was quoted as saying, in a gushing manner, that the speech was a “home run” and “really funny.” When questioned about the things he said in the speech, she would say things like, what he really meant was …..or what he wanted to say was… Once again she’s covering the truth and being racist.  Just as with the Henry Gates incident.  In an appearance on Anderson Cooper, the night or so before CNN’s “The Moment of Truth” she appeared enraged that it was a racial profile against Gates. She said that she got calls from her FRIENDS saying it was all about Gates being black.  She went on that show with the purpose, at all costs, to destroy the credibility of the white police officer and throw him under the bus.  When Cooper was talking she wanted to make the point that Gates said “Thank You” to the police officers.  By mentioning that, she was purposely misrepresenting the truth by playing down Gates’ belligerence and racial remarks, which she didn’t even mention.  Even Gates’ attorney and friend, said to the media that he used very strong language. Colon Powell and President Obama both said he should take blame in the incident.  I have seen this in many occasions with her, where she doesn’t speak the truth and hides the true facts.  Another time on Anderson Cooper, Cooper said to O’Brien that Senator John McCain hasn’t brought race into the campaign, like he said he wouldn’t.  You would think her response would have been something like, that’s great because he shouldn’t.  Instead she strongly insinuated that he would, even in the last week of the campaign. Also, her questioning style, in interviews  is completely different with a white person than it is with a black person.  Like in her interview with Henry Gates in “The Moment of Truth”  She just went along with his lies. I have seen several comments on various websites about her racism.  There are many other examples I could give of her racial bias, dishonesty and hypocrisy. She seems to consider herself to be black. She mentioned in an interview that her parents made it clear to her “you’re black” and that’s all there is to it.
She’s all about being #1, she wants the world to revolve around her. She comes first, before her family. She wants to be a celebrity figure and a star. In interviews she says she works 6 days a week, mostly out of town, and on some holidays. She goes to gala events, concerts, lots of entertainment events, as a single woman, leaving her husband and kids behind.
I think Soledad O’Brien is a very poor journalist. What ever happened to the days of CNN with Bernard Shaw and Judy Woodruff? T hey were honorable journalists. You could believe what they said. John Las Vegas

Don’t overlook the fact that he will sit down and talk with Ahmedi-Nejad, even with all the controversy surrounding the recent election in Iran. But he can’t deal with the Karzai government in Afghanistan now, because of the controversy over their recent election? I can’t escape the feeling that he is in the process of handing over Afghanistan to whatever group will be most detrimental to American interests.

I’m seeing something different from this latest volley against Fox News. It’s “same old, same old” with the WH’s disdain for Fox and the accompanying insults and generalizations against all of them. No, this is different… the WH is warning the rest of the media not to fall out of line from what they have been doing all along. This, I think, is as a result of a couple of instances when some of these “lap dogs” have posed some tough questions of Obama and crew and the WH was shocked, stunned, and worried more may follow suit; hence the recent “spanking” of Fox and the bold warning for other News organizations “not to follow their lead.” I actually think their egotistical belief in this cult of personality “thing” they’ve got going is starting to piss off the lap dogs now.

The problem now is that if Obama does go on Fox they will toss him softballs like the O’Reilly interview of Hillary. Obama wins. Its better for FOX this way because it appears Obama is afraid of tough questions.
