Sick.
neocutis2
This is just gruesome.
A skincare company has started using aborted fetal tissue in its anti-aging skincare cream.
Christian News Wire reported:

Children of God for Life announced today that Neocutis, a bio-pharmaceutical company focused on dermatology and skin care is using aborted fetal cell lines to produce several of their anti-aging skin creams.

“It is absolutely deplorable that Neocutis would resort to exploiting the remains of a deliberately slaughtered baby for nothing other than pure vanity and financial gain,” stated Executive Director Debi Vinnedge. “There is simply no moral justification for this.”

For years Children of God for Life has been a watchdog on pharmaceutical companies using aborted fetal cell lines in medical products and they have received thousands of inquiries from the public on the use of aborted fetal material in cosmetics.

Until now, this was the first time they have encountered any company bold enough to put the information right on their own website and product literature. A quick investigation into the science behind the products revealed the shameless data.

Neocutis’ key ingredient known as “Processed Skin Proteins” was developed at the University of Luasanne from the skin tissue of a 14-week gestation electively-aborted male baby donated by the University Hospital in Switzerland. Subsequently, a working cell bank was established, containing several billion cultured skin cells to produce the human growth factor needed to restore aging skin. The list of products using the cell line include: Bio-Gel, Journee, Bio-Serum, Prevedem, Bio Restorative Skin Cream and Lumiere. But Vinnedge is calling for a full boycott of all Neocutis products, regardless of their source.

“There is absolutely no reason to use aborted babies for such selfish motives,” Vinnedge said. “It is anti-life, anti-woman and counter-productive as Neocutis is about to find out!”

Sure enough.
Neocutis describes their Processed Skin Cell Proteins (PCP) used in their anti-aging creams on their website:
neocutis
From the website:

Through years of research, physicians discovered fetal skin has a unique ability to heal wounds without scarring. Inspired by this, medical researchers at the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland created a biotechnology process to extract the rich proteins responsible for scarless wound healing from cultured fetal skin cells. A small biopsy of fetal skin was donated following a one-time medical termination and a dedicated cell bank was established for developing new skin treatments.

How awful.

There’s a great short story by F Paul Wilson that predicts that purse companies will begin to make purses out of fetal skin and call Foetal skin. Afterall, they’re not REALLY babies. Morbid, but how long til it actually happens?

Look, I support a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy until she’d done paying for the fartling’s college tuition, s/he’s truly out of the house (including the basement) and the cord is cut for good… But this is a whole new level of gruesomeness, reminiscent of Elizabeth Bathory. Stem Cell research for genuine medical benefit using tissue aborted fetuses is one thing (and I’m not convinced that it’s going to amount to the cure-all that its advocates boast) but this is just sick, even if it was from a donation of a single cell. (Hell, I’d be creeped out if it was taken off an alive-and-well Cheryl Tiegs’ bottom).

If you can find something “good” of abortion…and this must be “good”, it heals….it makes those who abort babies feel justified for what they do. Stem cell research is only there to make these people feel better about what they do, especially when adult stem cells have been the only research that has been successful. Deep within their souls they know what they are doing is wrong.

The fraudulent bargain we are presented with today, mostly by government is that we can live at the expense of others if only we would allow them to live at our expense.

The next level of this collective predation will be if life-saving medical technology depends upon harvesting cells from aborted fetuses, especially when such research or treatment is funded by government.

Not even Orwell could have imagined this.

obviously, this in right up to and maybe over the line…if it creates a market for tissue and subsequently increases abortions, then it’s potentially a real big problem…after the cell culture is established, and the growth hormone source is productive and stable, there might not be any resultant increase in abortions…what seems more of a problem is efficacy, that is, how to get a good effect topically.

Come on… where are all these happy singing zealots coming from? …

There was an abortion an instead of being thrown away with the rest of biological waste, a sample was taken and given to a university to do skin research. This was probably done to help people with extreme conditions (people burnt in the hell of war, perhaps?) and as a side effect somebody noticed it could also work with relatively healthy skin…

Do you really believe they would have fetus farms in Switzerland? for those of you who have never left the farm, people live way better over there (on average) than in the US of America. They don’t send 18 year old kids to die (and kill) in some weird country and they basically mind their own business and try to live as peaceful as they possible.

Is it the first time researchers use corpses to learn more about ourselves?… what about medicine schools, do you seriously believe all the practice is made with rubber toys? …

Joe, you don’t understand that not everyone here is a Christian. I’m not a Christian, nor am I conservative. But I find myself agreeing with some of the things they say. I used to be a left liberal, some time ago. Then I opened my eyes and realized that left-wing ideas are bringing my own country closer to destruction every day.

It should be the woman’s choice? Oh please, spare me the dribble. There are medical conditions and some situations where abortion is an alternative. Yes, no doubt. But most abortions are the “OH SHIT! I’M PREGNANT!” panic button. Why should I respect that? Why should I respect people being too stupid? There are ways to prevent pregnancies in the first place. One is: not letting every idiot into your panties, girls. Just like not trying to get into the panties of everything female, boys. It starts there. Then there are condoms and other ways.

A woman’s choice shouldn’t really be being dumb.

Soylent Green,,,is made,,,of people? Soylent Green is made of PEOPLE!!!!!!!

This comes from the same over educated idiots who decided to feed cows ground up cow parts, and gave the world Bovine spongiform encephalopathy.

    Thanks, a$$holes.

This was probably done to help people with extreme conditions

Just like Josef Mengele’s “research.” Once you define a class of people as “sub-human,” you can do whatever you want with them. Got it.

Did any of you ever had any doubts that that maybe one of the underlying reasons why “celebrities” support abortion and stem cells research? How do they get their dirty hands on human growth hormone to look 10-20 years younger then they are? It doesn’t grow on trees.

    @Andres
“Do you really believe they would have fetus farms in Switzerland?”

Why not? This country become liberal (sorry – progressive) before many of us were born. But I have better question. Did you ever hear of CHINA? If they execute prisoners based on need for particular body organ (and blood type) why wouldn’t they have organ banks from aborted babies? Don’t forget they have forced abortion laws because the families there can only have one child. So there must be plenty of “biological waste” lying around. Don’t you love this substitution, “biological waste”, for murdered babies?

“Do you really believe they would have fetus farms in Switzerland?”

From the progressive point of view, would there be any problem with that? I mean, you guys have decided that fetuses aren’t really people. So, why not grow fetuses just for organ harvesting? Is it really any worse than partial birth abortion …. I mean, to you guys without souls?

    Proverbs 29:2

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

When our authority figures allow abortion which is murder, you can not tell me that they are not wicked. They call good evil and evil good.

Joe (#41) said, “I personally do NOT want a bunch of unwanted, uncared for children being raised by unfit mothers.” An estimated 2 million couples in this country would love to adopt “unwanted” babies.

Joe said that abortion should be “a woman’s choice” — six out of every 10 mothers who abort their babies have been pressured or forced to do so (usually by the baby’s father, but often by her own parents). Murder is one of the leading causes, and sometimes the leading cause, of death for pregnant mothers. Even “safe, legal” abortions can kill women: Google “Synthia Dennard” and “Lou Ann Herron” to read about two who died at the hands of “safe, legal” abortionists.

Joe, I believe that every mother deserves better than abortion, and that every child deserves a chance. Why don’t you?

Funny, but I’ll bet the same people that scream that Dick Cheney drinks the blood of (add your ethnic group here) are the ones who extol the virtues of face cream made from abortions AND SEE NO PROBLEM WITH EITHER VIEW.

Andres posted “Is it the first time researchers use corpses to learn more about ourselves?… what about medicine schools, do you seriously believe all the practice is made with rubber toys? …”

Clearly English is not your first language. When medical schools dissect corpses in anatomy class, the bodies were not obtained through murder. The baby whose skin is being used for vanity was murdered.

wanumba asked, “It had to be a biopsy of living cells, isn’t that right?”

coeruleus is wrong, unless cell lines can be cultured from reanimated tissue a ‘la Dr. Frankenstein. Even when a person is declared dead, most of their tissues are still living.

Such is the case with fetuses and embryos as well — they are dead the moment they are dismembered or pulled from the womb (or will be shortly thereafter — a drop onto the lab floor assures that…), but the little arms and feet etc. live on for a bit thereafter.

It’s all in the timing — like with organ donations, you have to work fast to get the still living organs from the dead person.

Given the timing, I’d say that the abortion and the research are closely linked.
