The Washington Post reported: The federal budget deficit soared to a record $1.4 trillion in the fiscal year that ended in September, a chasm of red ink unequaled in the postwar era that threatens to complicate the most ambitious goals of the Obama administration, including plans for fresh spending to create jobs and spur economic recovery.

Doug Ross has more on the disaster.

UPDATE: 2006 Flashback: The 2001 George W. Bush taxcuts increased real annual GDP growth rate from 0.3 percent in 2001 to 2.5 percent in 2002. In the third quarter of 2003, GDP grew at a 7.2 percent annual rate. 1.4 million jobs were created in the nine months after August 2003.

Note how successful the Bush Administration actually was, and how the manipulation has created such a vivid distortion.

When we had low 4% record unemployment, the MSM cried foul, presenting the Economy as a negative. Even with record high Stock Market levels, sound GDP Growth, etc.

They even failed to properly report the real reason the Economy meltdown, due to the Democratic Party’s manipulation of the Mortgage Industry – primarily via Fanny and Freddie.

Now today, with a disastrous economy, greatly made far worse by the Democratic Party’s raising of the minimum wage, obscene partisan spending, failure to reduce taxation, etc., with record unemployment nearing 10%, the Partisans in the MSM are telling us the economy is getting better?

    Completely unethical and pathetic.
