Far Left crank Chris Matthews attacked Christians on his show yesterday.
Matthews said Christians in the United States resemble the Taliban…
When was the last time you read about a Christian suicide bomber in America, Chris?

HotAirPundit posted the video:

Disgusting.
Chris forgot about the leftists who were arrested for planning terror attacks on the RNC and the several leftist eco-terror attacks.
But, smearing Christianity is an easier argument for Matthews.

Poor Chris. He must really be hurting that he wasn’t invited to the White House with fellow network hacks Olbermann and Maddow.

Except for that whole beating up people with too-short (or no) beards, beating up women, shooting people in soccer stadiums, throwing acid in the faces of girls going to school, there’s just a perfect match.

    /sarcasm off.

I submit that it is the left in this country that resemble the Taliban the most with their intolerance of those who disagree, their desire to force their baseless ideas onto the rest of us (global warming etc), and their obsession with telling the rest of us how we should live our lives.
Methinks he should look in the mirror.

No suprise, and not worth any ire. The left “feels” it has all the marbles and will now show the public who they really are. We knowwho they are. We keep our enemy’s closer. This is why the political shift against Barry et al. The sleeping public is waking up to a nightmare. Kinda fun to watch. I been watching the country slide into the sewer for years. Come on in the water is warm, or are many of you just weting your pants. It was the ridiculous leftists at the G20 in Pittsburgh, PA acting like lunatics, being arrested for rioting and other acts of violence, not the huge number of conservatives in DC, who marched attended and left the place as good as they found it.

And it’s these creepy liberals in Canada, looking like taliban, not conservatives who have chosen to peacefully oppose our presidents policies.

    The Taliban is fanatically fascistic.

The element in the US that is most fascistic is the Liberal element (RINO.’s are right behind); the right is anti-fascistic, Chris. Check out and read Liberal Fascism, by Jonah Goldberg; it would really help, Chris, if you knew what you are talking about.

So, Chris, if you want to see a fascist, the most convenient thing to do would be look in a mirror.

If on the other hand, Chris, you think that the Religious Right (by which everybody understands you to mean Christians) is the group in the US, because they believe in God, most similar to the Taliban, then you are a completely ignorant simpleton.

Frankly, I consider you neither ignorant nor a simpleton, but a fanatical fascist who is only different from the Taliban because you are an atheist. According, you have less redeeming qualities about you than a member of the Taliban, making you perfect as a commentator for MSNBC.

As a member of the “Religious Right”, I cannot tell you how much Matthews and Reagan offend me. I am thinking of sending an email to Matthews asking him to watch “Beneath the Veil” which was broadcast on BBC and CNN in 2001. Then try to compare us Christians as the Taliban . . . Matthews has upped his “stupidity ratio”.

Here is a story about the documentary in case you didn’t see it. I will never forget watching it.

Why don’t we call Chris Matthews out for what he truly is: a small-minded, intolerant, bias man who cannot allow for any other point of view but his own. Personally, people like Chris Matthews is a detriment to freedom. True liberals believe in freedom not restrictions. They believe in the right to free press, freedom and tolerance of others religion, point of view and the ability to discuss intelligently all of the above with respect for another’s point of view. If the definition of intelligence is the ability to reason,Chris Matthews fails on all accounts

Chris Matthews compared the Taliban to the religious right? Then obviously Chris Matthews needs to go over to Afghanistan and take a look for himself to see what the Taliban is like – hopefully, the Taliban will get up front and personal with him and perhaps even give him a tour of Pakistan for a number of months.

Joe, you either have a strong hatred of Christians, or, you’re incapable of reason (perhaps it’s both?).

Tell me, have you ever seen Christians, ever, imposing their will on others? Tell me, have you ever seen Christians throw acid in the faces of young girls going to school? Tell me, have you ever seen a Christian take a knife and cut of the nose and ears of a person they disagree with? Have you seen a Christian suicide bomber blow up innocent people in a market or at the voting booth?

I actually feel sorry for someone like you — you must live a pathetic existence, and to the point where you simply cannot accept those with whom you dissent.

You have got to be kidding me. What an incredibly ignorant statement.

And it is “American Christian”, not “american christian”. Show some respect.

Please show me one thing that an American Christian does that is on the par of the Taliban. And I mean a true American Christian. Not infidels who do something in the name of God when it is diametrically opposed to God’s Word.

You know . . . like “Christian” abortionists! Talk about an oxymoron.

Richard… are you that naive? Have you ever READ the bible?

Give me an example, Joe. Instead of hysterics, give me specific examples of the right imposing itself on you. The left imposes its will all the time — speech codes on campus? What about scientists who dissent from Global Warming nonsense?

Abortion? Please. It’s legal as far as I know…even though I’m vehemently opposed to it because it denies the rights of the pre-born. Again, it’s the left that imposes its will on the pre-born child, saying, “No way, you can’t live.”

So, give me a concrete example Joe, or just return to your amoral bubble you live in.

I have to just shake my head at people like Joe — he knows a handful of proof texts from the Bible, having never read it in context or with its cultural purview in mind.

The Bible was read by the Enlightenment’s chief thinkers, Newton, Rousseau, and even Voltaire had respect for biblical tradition. Dickens, Carlyle, and all the modernist thinkers read the Bible and drew from it; T.S. Eliot comes to mind.

It’s astonishing, even breathtaking how ignorant the left is. Joe is the quintessential Obama supporter, no thought, all emotion.

The only equivalent comparison to a Christian group and the Taliban are those bombers and murderers of abortion clinics and doctors. Hardly condoned by the Christian right and hardly a Christian group. The bombers of black churches in Alabama probably weren’t good tithers either. The left loves to group people – easier to control them. Mathews gets a tingle up his leg when his comments are controversial.

Chris Matthews such a mediocrity. When he says such ridiculous things it is hard to even respond. However, I have colleagues who believe this as well. They believe that Protestant fundamentalism is equivalent to Islamic fundamentalism–it’s hard to talk with such people because they are incredibly ignorant and they really aren’t interested in dialogue; they are interested in belittling anyone who have religious leanings, especially Christian leanings. So when they can’t listen or dialogue, they demonize which is a form of hatred.
