The Center for Security Progress published a recent report on Obama’s flawed Honduran Strategy. To no surprise, the top radical advising Obama, Dan Retrepo, was weaned at the Far Left Soros-funded Center for American Progress run by strategist John Podesta.

Dan Restrepo meeting with ousted Honduran president Manuel Zelaya.
Honduras Coup
Honduras’ ousted President Manuel Zelaya, center, speaks to Thomas Shannon, second from left, U.S Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Hugo Llorens, left, U.S ambassador to Honduras, Dan Restrepo, second right, the director for Western Hemisphere affairs at the White House and Craig Kelly, right, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs before a meeting at Brazilian embassy in Tegucigalpa, Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009. (AP)

Who’s behind the Obama Honduras policy?

The Obama Administration has made serious mistakes in its handling of the crisis in Honduras where it supports the return of the deposed president, Mel Zelaya. The Administration categorized the removal of Zelaya as a coup when, in fact, the Honduran military has had no role in governing the country. The Honduran Congress and Supreme Court abided by their Constitution and rule of law and ousted Zelaya because he had violated the law. As a result, the crisis in Honduras today is almost unmanageable. So what does this behavior reveal about Mr. Obama’s respect for the separation of powers, as Mary Anastasia O’ Grady from the Wall Street Journal accurately points out, that he would instruct Secretary of State Clinton to punish an independent court because it did not issue the ruling he wanted? [1] Is this administration forcing a foreign nation to violate its own laws?

It astonishes legal experts and independent observers that President Obama, Secretary of State Clinton and their advisors have chosen to ignore a serious factual report filed at the Library of Congress by the Congressional Research Service (CRS) that states “Available sources indicate that the (Honduran) judicial and legislative branches applied constitutional and statutory law in the case against President Zelaya in a manner that was judged by the Honduran authorities from both branches of the government to be in accordance with the Honduran legal system,” [2] writes CRS senior foreign law specialist Norma C. Gutierrez in her report.

Why is this administration siding with Zelaya and his main supporter, Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez? Chavez is known to be hostile towards the U.S while working closely with Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is on the brink of obtaining a nuclear weapon and has established a bank in Venezuela with Chavez to avoid the sanctions already imposed against Iranian financial institutions responsible for transferring funds to Tehran’s nuclear program. Actually, the Obama Administration and the Chavez regime sponsored a UN resolution that condemned the government of Honduras for legally removing Chavez’s puppet “Mel” Zelaya.

What is even worse, the State Department has suspended $30 million in aid to Honduras for standing by their constitution and has stripped current President Roberto Micheletti and fourteen members of the Supreme Court who ruled against Zelaya of their U.S. visas…

The Obama Latin America Team is composed of: Thomas Shannon, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs; Frank Mora, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Western Hemisphere Affairs and most importantly Dan Restrepo, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Western Hemisphere Affairs at The National Security Council… Since assuming the presidency in January of 2009, the Obama White House mainly follows the expertise of Mr. Daniel Restrepo on issues pertaining to Latin America.

Dan Restrepo and The Center for American Progress

Prior to moving to the National Security Council, Dan Restrepo was the director of the Americas Project at the Center for American Progress (CAP), a liberal think tank, whose President and Chief Executive Officer is John Podesta, who served as chief of staff to then President Bill Clinton. This think tank has become so influential making personnel appointments in the Obama Administration that Time Magazine recently declared “there is no group in Washington with more influence at this moment in history.” [8]

One of CAP’s main contributors is billionaire speculator, George Soros. In fact, some independent groups that are more transparent, such as the Sunlight Foundation and the Campaign Legal Center, criticize the Center’s failure to disclose its contributors, particularly since it is so influential in appointments to the Obama administration.

Dan Restrepo, Honduras and Chavez

Restrepo’s complete lack of judgment with respect to issues in Latin America, especially with regards to Chavez, put the region, the US and its interests at risk. He actually thinks Chávez is only a nuisance and not a national security threat, despite the fact that Chávez said during a recent visit to Iran — his eighth since taking office — that he is discussing with Iran the creation of a “nuclear village” in Venezuela, which he claimed will be for “peaceful purposes.” And there are recent claims made by New York District Attorney Robert Morgenthau that Iran may be using Venezuela for “building and storing” weapons of mass destruction. So what does Restrepo think about the Iran-Venezuela nuclear cooperation? He actually “hopes that all countries in the Americas respect international rules, and their international responsibilities regarding nuclear energy.” So, according to him, the U.S. should keep hoping and do nothing in the meantime.

There’s more at the Center for Security Progress.

Why are you surprised? George Soros owns the Democratic party……the empty suite President is a stand in for George Soros. His (Soros) finger prints are on every policy coming out of this White House.

Every citizen needs to join the “tea party” movement NOW.

    Honduras 1, Hillary 0

[Secretary of State Hillary Clinton trumpeted the result as a diplomatic triumph, but it's more accurate to say that it extricated her and the Obama Administration from the box canyon they entered by throwing in with Mr. Zelaya. Hondurans had deposed Mr. Zelaya on entirely legal grounds for threatening violence and violating the country's constitution in an attempt to run for a second term. The U.S. nonetheless meddled and demanded that Mr. Zelaya be reinstated.

But Hondurans refused to bend, and the State Department apparently
decided at last that Honduras was going to go ahead with its election
whether the U.S. agreed or not. The Honduran compromise provided
Mrs. Clinton with an elegant diplomatic exit.]

as i’ve stated before, i’m starting to believe..

what else can explain UN Obama, not to mention GW Gore??

[Maurice Strong is perhaps most widely known as the co-author of the 1994 Earth Charter with the communist and former Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev, who once stated that the threat of environmental crisis will be the "international disaster key that will unlock the New World Order." Strong's rise to prominence as internationalist gofer to the Rothschilds and Rockefellers goes back to 1946, when Strong was just 17 and working as a clerk at the United Nations in New York City. It was here that Strong was befriended and recruited by David Rockefeller. Despite his minimal credentials of only a high school diploma, Strong is moved up the ladder quickly following his introduction to Rockefeller, becoming a millionaire by his mid-20s, during the Alberta oil and gas boom. At the age of 25, Strong became the President of Dome Petroleum in Calgary. By the age of 35, he is the CEO of the Power Corporation of Canada. While at the Power Corporation, Strong hires Paul Martin and James Wolfensohn, both of whom would move up the ladder quickly and go on to hold high positions of power -- Martin as Prime Minister of Canada, and Wolfensohn as President of the World Bank. (Strong would later become an advisor to Wolfensohn at the World Bank.)

At the UN, Strong would go on to become Director of the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), Senior Advisor to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, and Chairman of the Earth Council. He would also become Chairman of the World Resources Institute, Co-Chairman of the Council of the World Economic Forum, and a member of Toyota's International Advisory Board. Strong's most influential role to date, however, has been as the Secretary-General of the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED -- aka the Earth Summit) in Rio de Janeiro. It was this conference that gave birth to the Earth Charter and Agenda 21, which would lay the groundwork for a completely managed global society run and managed under the auspices of the UN, under the guise of saving the environment.

It is people such as Maurice Strong, Mikhail Gorbachev, Al Gore, and Ted Turner that are at the forefront of the UN's environmental/depopulation agenda, at least at the visible/gofer level. The four are also members of, or have close connections to the Club of Rome. It is the Club of Rome that has been guiding the environmental movement since its creation at the Rockefellers' estate in Bellagio, Italy in 1968. It's aim is to reduce a large majority of the global population, as well as manufacture crisis through which the world can be "united" under a one world government, as was admitted in their 1991 publication, titled The First Global Revolution.]

    Viva Honduras (video)

[In the four weeks left, Zelaya can parade around Honduras trying to find his face which fell off some months back when he kissed Hugo Chavez too hard. The US State Department has saved no face either, since strangely it sided with Zelaya before it read the facts, or maybe after it decided to posture about democracy and law.

Zelaya is a dopey rascal and buffoon. His conduct these last weeks camped in the Brazilian Embassy has revealed a petty, paranoid, anti-Jewish, parochial pol whose chief legacy is his whining on cue. Meanwhile, Roberto Michelletti, who took over as head of the Congress and interim head of state, is likely comfortable with the resolution because power-sharing means that Zelaya has no power over anyone or anything, a ceremonial blatherer, no authority over the Congress, nor the Supreme Court and most especially not the Army.]

    God Bless Honduras!! (thumbsup)

I put this on another post about Honduras:

Looks like ocotopus George Soros has his tenacles in this:

    http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2009/10/george-soros-and-illegal-drug-trade.html

Soros has categorically denied receiving money from drug cartels or any
criminal network, but the fact remains, however, that at least some of his
financial operations have been based offshore, in banking and financial
centers that are widely reported to be considered conducive to money
laundering. The Soros fund is based in the Netherlands Antilles, a
self-governing federation of five Caribbean islands. A CIA factbook
describes the region as “a transshipment point for South American drugs
bound for the U.S. and Europe; and a money-laundering center.” In fact,
Soros’ partner, Peter Lewis, considered by the Washington Post as “one of
the country’s 10 most generous philanthropists,” was arrested in 2000 in
New Zealand for “importing” drugs, including hashish and marijuana. [11]”

One of the questions brought up in a letter to president in Sep by Rep McCotter if he knew that the drug trade was coming through via Hoduras to the US. Makes sense Soros involved in this. He contributes lots of money to the legalization of drugs in the US.

Soros and Lewis together founded “America Coming Together”, a political
organization designed to defeat George W. Bush in the 2004 presidential
election. Both have helped bankroll a campaign to legalize marijuana,
featuring a public relations effort that falsifies the dangerous nature of
marijuana and presents it as “medicine.” Since 1991, Lewis has contributed
$5 million to the ACLU to fight drug laws, and has made large
contributions to drug “legalization” campaigns in Arizona, Nevada,
California, Oregon, Utah, Florida, Maine, and Massachusetts. [12]

    http://www.drugpolicy.org/searchresults.cfm?cx=011411054294062790617%3Adr9ppmvxtwk&cof=FORID%3A11&q=George+soros&sa.x=13&sa.y=12#855

The Lindesmith Center (TLC) was founded in 1994 by Ethan Nadelmann, JD,
PhD, a professor of politics at Princeton University, whose writings on
drug policy had attracted international attention. The Lindesmith Center,
named after Prof. Alfred Lindesmith, an Indiana University professor who
was the first prominent scholar in the U.S. to challenge conventional
thinking about drugs, addiction and drug policy, became the first domestic
project of George Soros’s Open Society Institute (OSI). It rapidly emerged
as the leading drug policy reform advocacy institute in the United States.

The sad part of this is much of the voting public doesn’t have a clue who George Soros is. Conservatives need to educate the public on the evil this man is perpetrating. He is going to spend 50 million next in an attempt to squelch free-market zeal.
I have asked several people whom I discuss politics with and most of them don’t know a thing about Soros or what he does.

IMHO I think he was somehow behind the financial crisis before the election last year.

re: [The Soros fund is based in the Netherlands Antilles,

Income Tax Evasion and the U.S. Congress

[The U.S. holds the honor of being the highest tax nation on Earth and probably in the solar system. This is the principal reason that Ugland House exists. Some politicians want to compound the problem by raising corporate taxes even higher. Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other Democrats have even promised, if elected, to impose a windfall profits tax on Exxon-Mobile and other oil companies. Exxon is the largest oil company in the U.S. and the 14th largest in the world. Exxon has operations all over the world and they already have huge regional offices in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Yemen. Those countries tax corporations only on income earned in those countries and if Exxon is creating profits there, they are already paying those taxes. Should the U.S. congress be successful in legislating a windfall profits tax on Exxon, just how long do you think it would be before Exxon packed up and moved their headquarters from Houston to one of their regional offices on the Arabian peninsula? Say goodbye to ANOTHER U.S. corporation.

Why do you think U.S. Senator Edward M. (Ted) Kennedy has moved his entire personal estate assets to an offshore trust located in Tortola, BVI? Possibly because BVI has no estate or death tax? Kennedy has few personal assets in the U.S. The family pays an annual rent (to cover property taxes, insurance, maintenance, operations, etc.) to his BVI trust for his considerable luxury compounds located in Martha's Vineyard, Palm Beach and elsewhere. I am a man of modest means, but when we both die I suspect my death tax bill will be larger than his.]

that’s why the ELITE aren’t worried about “pitchforks”..

Cant verify but heard he was behind the rising cost of gold; in an insider trading deal; a sell high buy low. Remember when news of gold was going to rise?

Just read an old article about the transfer of uS money to the Russian mafia, his name (Soros) popped up somewhere. The article was too hard to follow, so I gave up somewhere after the 10th Russian name.

He made the statement once he would like to be POTUS. Of course he wasn’t born in the US (cough).

    FYI Pass this

Tomorrow millions of children across America will be putting on their scariest costumes and going door to door asking for candy. Its that Halloween time of the year once again. An whether you are a parent or not, or whether your children go “trick or treating” or not, I guarantee that your house is going to be swarmed by lots of little ghosts, goblins, spider-men and Pink Power Rangers. Many of the visitors will be carrying the little orange UNICEF boxes, when you see them give up the candy, but please DON’T GIVE ANY MONEY TO UNICEF !!

UNICEF money goes to things like Palestinian Summer Camps that train kids to be Homicide Bombers, Production of Anti-Semitic literature, it is trying to stop inter-country adoptions of kids in Guatemalan orphanages, it has written materials praising the oppressive north Korean regime. In short your pennies are being used to support terror and hatred.
