It worked with Rush Limbaugh so why not?
If you can’t beat them smear them viciously.
Blogger Jack Balkin fessed up on some phoney Scalia quotes:
As I suspected, Justice Scalia did not say he would have dissented in Brown v. Board of Education in 1954. The newspaper account is incorrect and took his remarks out of context.
Ann Althouse has more on the latest racist liberal smear.

The comments from the left lately have been getting crazier and crazier. They are signs of just how desperate those folks are getting. It’s music to my ears.

Lmao! Sounds like a bunch of newbie leftists to me. How desperate of them to spread lies about a supreme court justice. Scalia eats political liars for breakfast and their spawn for lunch.

It was an unintentional (and since corrected) misquotation in a local newspaper, the East Valley Tribune, which is owned by Freedom Communications, a libertarian media company. Go to Freedom’s blog; they’re clearly anti-Obama and not on the left.
Sorry, Jim, this is the result of a careless mistake made by someone on your side, or neutral at the very least. They’ve corrected themselves. The question is, will you?

True or not, this type of behavior has become synonymous with the left. The most heinous of things attributed to them is not a even blinked at anymore. That is who they are.
How unfortunate for the progress their agenda….how fortunate for those of us who are true America-loving patriots.

I once attended an off the record speech by Clarence Thomas. A liberal teacher asked him why, as a black man he could say he would have voted against Brown. She thought she had him. He smiled at her and said, “Oh, yes, you are absolutely right. I would have voted against it.” The younger teacher beamed in an apparent “gotcha’ moment. Justice Thomas continued, “I would have voted against it because the court had the power to end segregation in one day, the ruling ensured it would continue. That’s why I would have voted against it.” Oh, never mind. I have it on tape and am saving it for when the left tries to introduce it out of context.

Credibility? What’s that and who needs it? We’re Democrats! We can get away with anything!

The Left is prepping the media path for Ginsburg’s replacement. Ginsburg must be at death’s door, or ready to announce retirement any day now. There are no accidents in timing these attacks on a so-called conservative judge. It’s an attempt to control perceptions.

Hey, Guess Who, the sourcing really dosen’t matter does it? The idiot left will pick this quote up, copy it, fax it, and spew it on every outlet they own, until it makes its way into the contemporary lexicon, and thus pronounces itself “fact”. You know it. I know it. We’ve seen it happen time and again: George Bush and the Republicans caused Katrina, Iraq is a failure, Afghanistan is failing because of Bush, Rush Limbaugh is a racist. The truth dosen’t matter to you and your crew Mess Who. One thing matters to you: Power. Getting it and keeping it. And, that will be your downfall. The progressive movement is devoid of soul. It was either sold to the devil, or you never had one. Either way, a building with out a core cannot stand.

Typical right-wing response–”Even when we’re wrong, we’re right!” No, you’re just plain wrong. If you’re going to accuse others of getting something wrong and not correcting themselves, then you’d better get your own facts straight.
The irony of you accusing the left of partisanship, when you’re posting at the most nakedly partisan Republican blog on the Internet, is palpable.
