The last time we saw Jeremy Funk he was pimping US soldier snuff films on the Soros-funded Anti-”Bush Legacy” bus at the DNC Convention in Colorado.

Today Funk is pushing leftist propaganda for Barack Obama’s Americans United for Change organization.

New TV Ad: How Would the CEO of UnitedHealth Group Feel if his Loved Ones Were Told ‘To Get Insurance, First Get Sterilized?’

Ad from Americans United for Change Highlights the Real Story of Peggy Robertson, Who Was Denied Coverage by UnitedHealth Group’s Golden Rule Insurance for Having Had a C-Section – Then Later Told She Could Get Coverage If She Got Sterilized

Ad Comes as Insured Americans Who Were Denied Care Prepare to Confront AHIP at Health Insurance Industry Conference in the Nation’s Capital Thursday:

Unfortunately, this ad is not accurate or honest.
Just like Barack Obama’s two bogus examples of insurance miconduct in his speech to America, this ad is also not true.

Here’s the rest of the Peggy Robertson’s story via Free Republic:

When the Golden Rule Insurance Company rejected her application for health coverage last year, Peggy Robertson was mystified.

Elizabeth Bonet of Sunrise, Fla., with her daughters Mia, 6, and Eva, 2, was told she would pay more for insurance because of her Caesareans. “It made me feel very helpless,” she said. “It made no sense,” said Ms. Robertson, 39, who lives in Centennial, Colo. “I’m in perfect health.”

She was turned down because she had given birth by Caesarean section. Having the operation once increases the odds that it will be performed again, and if she became pregnant and needed another Caesarean, Golden Rule did not want to pay for it. A letter from the company explained that if she had been sterilized after the Caesarean, or if she were over 40 and had given birth two or more years before applying, she might have qualified. Ms. Robertson had been shopping around for individual health insurance, the kind that people buy on their own. She already had insurance but was looking for a better rate. After being rejected by Golden Rule, she kept her existing coverage.

SNIP

In a letter to Ms. Robertson, Golden Rule, which sells individual policies in 30 states, said it would insure a woman who had had a Caesarean only if it could exclude paying for another one for three years. But in Colorado, such exclusions are considered discriminatory and are forbidden, so Golden Rule simply rejects women who have had the surgery, unless they have been sterilized or meet the company’s age requirements…

So, this woman had insurance, just wanted a cheaper rate, and the cheaper company excluded Caesarians for 3 years (you get what you pay for), but since it couldn’t exclude caesarians in Colorado, because the law forbids it, they just won’t insure women who’ve had Caesarians in Colorado (so part of the problem is over-regulation on Colorado’s part). Maybe many women would opt for cheap insurance in Colorado and take the chance on not having a Caesarian paid for in the first 3 years of the policy, but that freedom of choice has been taken away.

Perhaps the Obama administration should stop trying to scare folks with sob stories that are not as bad they make them sound.

You’d think if the insurance companies were as bad as Obama says they are the left would be able to find just one story that pans out for their propaganda purposes.
You’d think so anyway.

Earlier HuffPo had their main page feature a child refused insurance because she was too thin. the sub-head referred to another story about a child refused coverage because she was too fat.

No idea if it’s bogus or not, but being from HuffPo it is highly suspect.

The accurate version of the story is vile in its own right.

But then I’m from Australia, so obviously I don’t know any better, as I’m already living under a system of universal health cover and poor health can never send me to the poorhouse.

What a nut. I found her name (pretty sure it’s the same one) on Change.org’s web site. It wasn’t working correctly, though, and I couldn’t bring up the article. The article said something about vaccines. Anyway, I sure would like to know if she’s yet another Obamabot operative who works or worked for the campaign…as well as what her husband does for a living that they can’t seem to get affordable insurance, yet she can stay home, take care of her kids, and make instructional videos on gardening over on eHow.

This administration is so bogus. Everything is staged – smoke and mirrors. Lies and deception at every turn. I know President Bush wasn’t perfect, but sheeeeesh! I’m beginning to wonder if Pelosi and Reid didn’t build a robot and name him Barack.

Wait a minute. You mean to tell me that left wingers are being dishonest in trying to promote this boondoggle known as Obamacare?

    I’m shocked.

    Ted,

Here is the ‘local’ article about the underweight toddler.

    http://www.wmtw.com/health/21348145/detail.html

I don’t know what the deal is with the insurer but Colorado certainly has more than one insurer for the couple to try.

Ahem, Scott; Her pediatrician and another specialist are treating this chaild as per the Moms statements. So there looks like proof the child has insurance already, and per the true story they are shopping for cheaper insurance. I would love to force state farm to insure a brand new cadilac under the same policy as my ford escort that is 10 years old, with the same coverage, for the same price, yet do you think they will do it just because I post it on a liberal site and say its unfair ? Liberal propaganda has no boundaries or scruples, this is proven every day of our lives!

How Funny, we never here about the current government run healthcare under Welfare, they often tell mothers with “too many” children that if they want to continue their Welfare coverage they must get their tubes tied. Sterilization is a left problem, I guess they forgot about the Science Czar John Holdren’s plan for the US,
“Those plans include forcing single women to abort their babies or put them up for adoption; implanting sterilizing capsules in people when they reach puberty; and spiking water reserves and staple foods with a chemical that would make people sterile.”

I had a nightmare last night. I was dreaming that the insurance companies were forced to adjust and be competitive. They started accepting people who couldn’t get coverage for things like asthma and allergies. It was horrible. Their profits dropped a little. The CEO of United Healthcare had to take a pay cut to just under a billion.

All of these people starting paying for good healthcare and started being proactive instead of reactive about their healthcare. It was horrible. You should of seen it. So glad I woke up.

I had a dream that my son, Martin, moved out of my basement, got a job, and grew up. He lives a fantasy life, spending much of his day on the internet pretending to be someone possessing an intellect. He passes his time with imaginary friends that he competes against while playing video games.
It would be nice if he were interested in women rather than the plastic doll he tries to hide among his dirty laundry in his closet.

A mom can dream, can’t she?

So, Martin, where do get your info? Or do you just make up numbers? You claim the CEO of United Healthcare made just under a billion dollars, however, according to this article, http://www.fiercehealthcare.com/story/unitedhealth-groups-stephen-hemsley-ceo-compensation/2009-05-14, he made a little over 3 million. Not chicken feed by any means, but let’s see if we can get anywhere near the truth.
