Starting in April VerumSerum.com blog has uncovered many prominent advocates of health reform revealing the hidden agenda behind the public option. Most prominently Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) and Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), but also Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI), and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Even Rahm Emanuel got into the act.
Today at Big Government Verum Serum’s Morgen Richmond unveiled another leftist crank in support of the public option. Paul Krugman admitted in a speech last year that even without a public option the system would largely look like a single payer system based on the subsidies for lower wage earners, and the fact that everyone else is paying for these with taxes on top of their insurance premiums.
Big Government has the audio.
It should be clear to everyone by now that the democrat’s main goal is to swallow up the nation’s health care system.

If this happens, then we will be waiting a year to get certain authorizations, such as major expense operations like hip replacements. Once there is no choice, we are stuck!

Look they can do whatever they want, but the money isn’t there. It’s game over no matter what plan they pass. Even if they didn’t pass any bill at all Social Security will be running deficits from now on, Medicare will soon be running deficits, the FDIC is bankrupt–there’s no money left to pay for any of this stuff. I suppose they can keep pretending like they can spend infinite amounts of money despite being massively in deficit each year, but that has never worked for any country in history. Since they are not pursuing a single policy which will lead to an increase in the GDP and since they are pursuing policies that will actually decrease the GDP, the deficits will get worse.
I mean the latest ploy is to just expand Medicare to cover everyone. Except that they’re also negotiating with the AMA and other physician groups to INCREASE payments, not decrease them. So increasing the size (dramatically) of an already bankrupt program and also increasing the per-capita costs of that program is only going to make the whole deeper.
Politicians are utterly disconnected from reality, so whatever protests we engage in are utterly irrelevant at this point. We no longer have a representative government and the lunatics are running the asylum. We haven’t seen anything yet as far as a real depression, but we’re on a collision course for complete destruction of the currency and defaulting on unimaginably large amounts of debt. So let them have at it.

You knock Obama for divisive rhetoric, and then you label one of today’s leading liberal voices a crank. I can’t find anything on this blog critical of Republicans; I guess God shares your party affiliation. So First Things has another sarcastic, hyper-partisan, unrecognizably Christian blog.
I’ll say here what I said on The Anchoress’ site. I respect conservative views, but this sort of gleeful bashing of all things Obama and all things liberal — as if liberals are sinners and conservatives are not — from a once thoughtful conservative Christian rag is a shame and is shameful.

The one this forgot is Amtrak.
Hard to find any fault in any of these statements!!! Now all we need to do is remember this come election day.
This should be read and understood by all Americans Democrats, Republicans, EVERYONE!!
To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature,
It is now official you are ALL corrupt morons:
The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775 You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.
Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.
Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.
War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to “the poor” and they only want more.
Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.
Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.
The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.
You have FAILED in every “government service” you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??
Folks, keep this circulating. It is very well stated. Maybe it will end up in the e-mails of some of our “duly elected officials” in Washington!!

Remember when the Dems accused the Republicans of having a “culture of corruption”?
Liberals never learn
“When you are on an ideological jihad to reshape a nation, facts nor logic, nor past experience, can be allowed to intrude.”

The unemployed are increasing. The employed are being scaled back. Heard a guy today saying how local employess have just had their pensions frozen, their promotions reversesd and their hours shortened. More and more businesses are cutting these all back to survive, and employees have to take it as there are no jobs to jump to.
The ripple effect is already going thru the economy. The secondary services like barber shops have a slow down – people coming in less frequently, or savign a few dollars by cutting their hair at home. Not as pretty, but it’s free.
So we have a Democrat Party-controlled US government orchastrating massive job losses and huge tax increases. Where’s the money for their expensive programs coming from?
Skilled and multi-tasking contractors who used to pull in $250,000 or more net are now sales clerks, and sales across the economy are going DOWN. WHat’s going to happen to the trades in the USA?
Now the stupid, building-crazy, nest feathering colleges are raising tuition. Fine. Idiots can go bust. Teach them the hard way the relationship between price, productivity and the customer is always right.
