The leftwing J-Street lobby has dropped its pro-Israel slogan.
It doesn’t want to alienate students.
The Jerusalem Post reported:

J Street’s university arm has dropped the “pro-Israel” part of the left-wing US lobby’s “pro-Israel, pro-peace” slogan to avoid alienating students.

That decision was part of the message conveyed to young activists who attended a special weekend program for students ahead of J Street’s first annual conference, which began on Sunday.

Students are seen as a key component of the 18-month-old organization’s constituency base and the conference itself. The multi-day event has incorporated new technology and interactive forums to harness their energy and garner feedback from the audience, which swelled to 1,500 on Monday and created overflow plenary and breakout sessions.

At their earlier weekend session, the 250 participating students mapped out strategies for bringing J Street’s approach to college campuses and encouraging students to join in the effort.

“We don’t want to isolate people because they don’t feel quite so comfortable with ‘pro-Israel,’ so we say ‘pro-peace,’” said American University junior Lauren Barr of the “J Street U” slogan, “but behind that is ‘pro-Israel.’”

Barr, secretary of the J Street U student board that decided the slogan’s terminology, explained that on campus, “people feel alienated when the conversation revolves around a connection to Israel only, because people feel connected to Palestine, people feel connected to social justice, people feel connected to the Middle East.”

No doubt, these are the same people who voted for Obama.

    This makes sense.
Not to anyone with a brain mind you,
but apparently it make sense to a liberal.

Blows me away how blind and ‘Jewicidal’ most of “my people” still are.

When the merde encounters the ventilateur, don’t a dang one of ‘em best be near me or askin’ for help.

As far as I’m concerned, they’re the enemy just like the ones wearin’ the bomb vests.

Attempting honest conversation with a liberal is like trying to repair a malfunctioning computer by yelling at it for being broken.

They keep dodging reality. They aren’t going to be loved, period. Their “Third Way” is mush that gets them every horror they are afraid of, plus the sell-out of Israel. They are too afraid. The correct strategy is to embrace Israel and what it stands for 100%. If one is going to die anyway, die with honor and on the right side. And death is not a given. Chosing the right side often ends up in victory, even if all the odds seemed to be against it.
It’s the French Problem. The French are actually pretty earnest on doing their jobs and want to do what’s right. But they have embraced secularism. It’s fine when everything is going fine, but when things go very very bad, relying on one’s own inner resources can’t carry one through the moment of Truth, the gun at the head, death looking into one’s face. One’s reason isn’t enough, one has to have faith to make the right decision, Reason will demand “save the body and sell the soul.” With God, all things are possible, with God there is the assurance that there is more beyond this life, that right and wrong transcend the moment. With no God, life is ALL. To lose it, means losing ALL.
So, to the eternal disgust of allies, the French will have one’s back until they come up to the Do or Die Line … where they clutch.
So, to deny Israel is to give away the inheritance for today’s bowl of soup.

Israel can have peace tomorrow morning if they agree to the annihilation of the Jewish population in “Palestine”. They can have peace tomorrow if they agree to enslavement through “Islam” (submission).

What the Left always fails to understand is that Peace at any price always exacts a terrible price. Anyone who wants peace and nothing else will have it. They will find it in slavery to, or cooperation with evil, or they will have it in the grave. Without the “pro-Israel” the “pro-peace” isn’t of much use to anyone.

Palestinians = terrorists. if you want to support palestinians that is there agenda. There hatred for israel is all-comsuming, there children dream of someday blowing themselves up, while there parents nod approvingly.
Unfortunately the Israelis are “too liberal” for there own good. There are a few hawks in the israeli country but they are outnumbered by liberal “peaceful coexistense crowd”. That will be there ultimate downfall.

people feel connected to Palestine, people feel connected to social justice, people feel connected to the Middle East.

I get it. Palestine is all about social justice and Israel isn’t really in the Middle East.

What happened to these peoples’ brains?
