49 people were killed today including two top Revolutionary Guards members by a suicide bomber in south-eastern Iran.
An attacker with explosives around his waist blew himself up.

The Iranian Guards members were killed during a “Shiite-Sunni” solidarity meeting.
Iranian Fars News reported:

Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) ground force Brigadier General Nourali Shoushtari, Sistan and Balouchestan province’s IRGC commander General Mohammadzadeh, Iranshahr Corps commander, Sarbaz Corps commander and Amiralmoemenin Brigade commander are among the martyrs.

The commanders had traveled to the southeastern province to provide the ground for the “Shiite-Sunni Tribes’ Solidarity Conference”.

this type of warfare is far from over..

    sad thing is..

these types of attacks & worse have made their way to the the USA..

fortunately for US, we had Bush on duty..

now whatever defenses he had built
up, are being torn down by Obama..

Hmmmmm. Chickens coming home to roost, perhaps?

Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch of thugs.

The real shame is that the obama administration immediately condemned this attack… whereas it took them weeks to condemn what these same blown-up thugs did to those protesting that fraudulent election they just held.

Once upon a time, pre-appeasement spokesman, we used to heart the Jundallah. Just sayin’.

    My take? That wasn’t a suicide bomber…

It seems that Shiite-Sunni solidarity is over-rated.

move along, nothing to see. That’s normal for that area. The iranians plan suicide bombings in pakistan, the taliban then plan suicide bombings in Iran. Terrorist killing terrorists, what is the world coming to.

quotation marks should have been around “solidarity” :-) Let’s hear it for Muslim solidarity! Yes, and let’s have much, much more “solidarity”

    re: Sunni/Shiite “beef” –

It’s been on the fritz for a while (as you know).
We’re just beginning to see the fissures.

US condemns suicide bombing attack of Iran’s Revolutionary Gaurds, yep, it’s true

    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/10/us_condemns_suicide_bombing_at.html

Didn’t it take them about a week to condemn an attack by a Muslim on a US Soldier in Arkansas?

Well that is one suicide bomber and his bombs that won’t be putting our troops in harm’s way in Iraq or Afghanistan.

The one person I’d like to see die via suicide bombing is Hassan Nasrallah.

Iran has their issues with suicide bombers as well. They can’t avoid it any more than the rest of the middle east. When you run your country in anarchy thats what you get in return.

“So who gets the 72 virgins?”

72 homosexual male virgins–the reward for dying in the name of Satan (restored Islamic caliphate=empire of the Antichrist).

In all honesty, I shed no tears for this. Tis a case of evil killing evil, the sad thing is that this one nutjob has done more to destabilize Iran’s xenophobic and power obsessed leaders than all the actions of the ‘international community’ combined since the end of the Iran Iraq war.

Well, gee…the Irainan Government and Mullahs fund suicide bombings to kill innocent people all over the Middle East…so this must make them absolutely orgasmic to have it finally happen to their own people.
I agree…the chickens ARE coming home to roost Mr. J. Wright.

After all the funding the Irainan government and Mullahs have given to suicide bombers all over the Middle East, they should be grateful and orgasmic that it has finally come to fruit in their own country.
Reverend J. Wright….is this what you mean by chickens coming home to roost?
    So…its all good then?

More, faster, Keep up the good work, kill each other and leave us alone. I read somewhere that it really wasn’t a suicide bomber, but a controlled bombing, if so this is heartening, it shows that there is resistance inside Iran that is making our job just that much easier, not easy but easier.

    Ministry of Subversion
    http://therealbarackobama.wordpress.com/2009/10/19/batchelor-ministry-of-subversion/

[The Tehran Twelvers and the usurper Ahmadinejad immediately assert that the Baluchistan shahid operation was launched by the Brits and the US, meaning the infamous MI 6 and the sad sack CIA. This is flattery.

The Baluchis are a savage breakaway province of Pakistan, and their ops spill over into Southern Iran. It is a tough neighborhood. Khalid Sheik Mohammed and Ramzi Yousef are Baluchis, and they constructed the 1993 and 9-11 attacks out of their sinister rage.

The significance for the attack, slaying the deputy commander of the IRGC ground forces Shooshtari, is that the IRGC is a warrior cult apparatus. It cannot adapt. It uses blunt instruments and terror. Now the counter-terror from a warrior cult outsides its reach.]
