The White House must be so proud.

Following their lead, the state-run media is now boldly bashing FOX News, too.

The former news magazine known as Newsweek is now calling FOX News “un-American.”

Oh brother.

newsweek fox
For the record… This comes from the same media outfit that reported a bogus story about American soldiers flushing a Koran that started riots where at least 15 people were killed.

I use to subscribe to Newsweek up until about 2 years ago, at which time I arrived at the conclusion I could not longer financial support a publication more intent on pushing ideology then dealing with reality.

As a Time Warner employee, I can tell you that if it were not for doctors’ waiting rooms, Time and NewsWeek magazines would have few subscribers. Some doctors are given the magazines for free–hence, every page you open has a subscription postcard falling out.

We will find out who is American when the voters speak in 2009.

All they are doing is kicking the giant in the knees. It only tired them and annoys the giant. I’m waiting for FOX to buy up papers and magazines next. Can you imagine a Boston Globe with a conservative slant? Or newsweek? Or NBC?

NEWSWEEK is still in print, but judging from its emaciated size, not for much longer. Tho’ it is a testament to the Progressive Left’s need to maintain their media monopoly that it’s made it this far.
The “progressive” Left, they just rot thru everything they take possession of.

I don’t think we’ll see Rupert Murdock buying NewsWeek. It would be waaaaaay overpriced, for starters, and I believe Rupert would just love to see it languish into oblivion. Kind of a “scalp”, as it were, in the Obama VS FOXNews “Mother of all wars”. Huge mistake for the administration. Murdock HAS to be in tears, laughing.

Next up? A bailout, of course, for NewsWeek and any other Obama loving birdcage liner in financial trouble – and there are lots of them!

    WOW !

    Don’t mess with someone’s PATRIOTISM?

    What happened to that?

Remember Hillary Clinton screaming that nonsense?

Hey, on the other hand, Obama has decided to wait until the Afghani Elections are settled to decide on the Afghanistan plan, which he previously cried repeatedly was the essential front on the GWOT?

    HUH???

Same old ‘con’ from ages ago, which tries to create an excuse from vapid Democratic Partisans who want to RUN AWAY !

Al Qaeda and the like minded Terrorists must be thankful for the Obama ’smart power’ of incompetent appeasement.

We know Iran, Russia, Cuba, North Korea, etc., are thrilled to have Democrats meddling in the game again.

I’ve got family and friends that, like me are registered Democrats that did not vote Democrat in 2008. Most don’t watch Fox but they certainly don’t watch MSN, CNN and all the other dinasour garbage. They, like all of America knows, all but Fox, WSJ and a couple of other papers are totally in the tank. They know the MSM is lying for Obama and covering up. This was the last straw for them to become Fox viewers. Thanks Pres. Idiot!

Never have I heard so many people utter the words “it’s getting to be just like Cuba here”
Obama’s Narcisisst Personality Disorder will be his downfall- we have been seeing the sign grow steadily worse as time passes and more take a stand and let the truth be heard. Not only can he not let something go, he can’t and won’t admit when he is wrong. Oh, it will continue until he is reduced to a blathering mass of incoherency and his own staff question his sanity. If you thought he contradicted himself alot now, just wait. It will get much worse. That is how the Narcisisst is and Barry has NPD of EPIC proportion

Want to tweak the White House right now? Go to the FoxNews website. Give them a little traffic. Believe me, it gets noticed! I have home and work computers – all the browsers on them are set to FoxNews for the home pages. Next thing you can do is buy Palin’s book.

The entirety of what the Democratic party has become is the embodiment of what is un-American. What do I base that on you ask? The stances of the Founding Fathers. All were against any form of big government and public welfare programs in Congress.

It is a tragedy that the Democrats took a hard left under Johnson and never returned to their original platform, instead shifting further and further left. Blue Dogs aside, they have abandoned all it is to be American.

The creation of entitlement programs and the desire to create more and expand the existing ones are un-American.

Having different rules apply to Congress compared to the rest of the population is un-American (Congress being exempt from the ‘public option’).

Forcing someone to buy health insurance is un-American

Dividing the nation into subgroups is un-American

    flashback to February 22, 2008

    Obama’s sovereignty giveaway plan
    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=56959

[Why are Republicans in Congress trying to help Barack Obama?

Republicans allowed a bill that carries his name, among nine others, to pass the Senate Foreign Relations Committee by voice vote last week – without any hearings. That means there was no roll-call vote so no member can be held accountable. The same bill passed the House by voice vote last year.

    [..]

Obama’s costly, dangerous and altogether bad bill (S. 2433), which could come up in the Senate any day, is called the Global Poverty Act. It would commit U.S. taxpayers to spend 0.7 percent of our Gross Domestic Product on foreign handouts, which is at least $30 billion over and above the exorbitant and wasted sums we already give away overseas.

The bipartisan bill would require the president “to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further the United States foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day.”]

we’ve heard about that bill before..

    http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/10/16/obama-poised-to-cede-us-sovereignty-in-copenhagen-claims-british-lord-monckton/

[Question: The current administration and the Democratic majority in Congress has shown little regard for the will of the people. They’re trying to pass a serious government agenda, and serious taxation and burdens on future generations. And there seems to be little to stop them. How do you propose we stop Obama from doing this, because I see no way to stop him from signing anything in Copenhagen. I believe that’s his agenda and he’ll do it.]

i’ve often stated that Obama was chosen to be a “transformer”.. as there’s truly nothing else to explain what has transpired since Obama was, as i’ve always believed, ’s’elected..

i now feel that now i/we know why Obama has been able to get away with all he’s been doing & will continue to do so until he brings US to our knees (iow: fall in line with the Global Plan)..

“While it’s clear what the White House and what Anita said… It’s not a news organization, that it has a perspective… The concentration of the White House isn’t about what Fox is doing, it’s about what does it take to make sure the economy is moving…That’s what’s occupying the decisions and the time in the White House.”

Meanwhile, White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod “responds to comments Anita Dunn made about Fox News.”

Dividing the nation into subgroups is un-American

Stephen, I agree with you. And I want to speak to your point. Whether or not you buy into the birther issue or not, I have felt from the beginning Obama does not know what it really means to be an American. Heck, he didn’t spend his formative years here. He just doesn’t “get” what being an American means. He seems insistent to make us a part of the world order and disown our American heritage. But, I can’t disown my own American values any more he can disown his white grandmother. (Sorry. Had to throw that in!)

He IS dividing the nation into subgroups, and yes, that is un-American. Like that cop said on one of Jim’s posts…”this ain’t America anymore”, when he demanded the tea partier could not hold up his anti-Obama sign. He was more profound than he meant to be…what a terrifying place we find ourselves in now.

How dumb *he won does this administration think the American people are?

In one week, bribe seniors, threaten Fox, and question the election so that they can continue to STALL on their decision to listen to our Generals.

These people are tiresome and used to playing to their insulated crowds of undereducated pals.

Have you noticed the “folksy” speeches as of late?

It would all be a giant punk if 45% of uneducated sheep didn’t approve of this shamwow potus/teleprompter/good suit/liar

One must understand that opinion like this isn’t really aimed at Fox or the viewers of Fox. It is aimed at the people who don’t currently watch Fox to discourage them from doing so. It is about keeping the choir in the pews. It is defense disguised as offense.

Hey did you see the NEW cover for Newsweek?

During election people were comparing Joe Biden’s flubs with Sarah Palin’s. Joe had more flubs and was the butt of jokes for comedians and they made him look like a buffoon, like Letterman tries to do with Palin.

Now Newsweek is trying to fix that by making it appear that Joe Biden is some sort of genius and defending him. Something they would never do for Palin.

NewsWeek is the rag that ran a cover story titled, “We’re All Socialists Now” back in February. Newflash to NewsWeek: We’re not all socialists now, and we don’t want to be socialists. NewsWeek is so liberal biased they don’t even recognize it. They are a farce of a news organization.

When Rahmbo, Axelrod, Newsweek, and WaPo columnist Kathleen Parker all criticize Fox on the same day, you know Fox is doing something right. They are acknowledging Fox reaches a massive audience and they are all trying to knock them down a peg.

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that, my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”
