Meh, big deal. Young doctors are not going into the abortion practice. There is a “problem” among infanticide physicians in that younger doctors are don’t want to get trained in performing abortions. So as the older killers retire, there isn’t anyone to take their place. So they can have Planned Parenthood all they want, but they kind of need doctors to kill the babies and they won’t have those. As a side note, I’m not sure why anyone still supports the public school system–of course this sort of thing is bound to happen. The government has no business teaching your kids.
Anyway, back to the abortions. I don’t know if anyone has bothered to notice, but the popular culture now is only pro-abortion in name only. The fact that Hollywood has come out with recent movies like Juno and Knocked Up shows you the direction the culture is going in. Both movies (Juno more directly) explicitly explore women being faced with the prospect of aborting unplanned pregnancies and choosing not to have abortions. And yeah, all the Hollywood elite are so pro-abortion, and yet they’re all about motherhood, having babies and adopting children. I’m seeing this filtering down into the rest of the culture. You can quibble about birth control, contraceptives, morning after pills, and also about all the faults of America’s younger generations, but I don’t see them being pro-abortion in anything but name. The pro-abortion crowd is clearly the despicable boomers–and this is reflected, of course, in the positions of that generation that are now ruling the US. The point is that subsequent generations aren’t buying into baby killing no matter how much the government may push it. And I’m not sure why they want to push it since more babies is the best way to raise tax revenue.
As for the doctors, I don’t care what laws they pass, doctors aren’t going to perform abortions if it violates their beliefs. You can’t force them to. Doctors will simply stop practicing medicine or leave the country. I mean come on people, you can’t tell someone you have to smash babies skulls in and suck their brains out or else. Or else what? You cannot possibly win a court case against someone who refuses to kill. Ok, so they’re throwing out the Constitution, I get that. Again, people can leave the country. Especially physicians who have the money. And doctors leave, there goes a ton of tax money. And there goes everyone’s health care. And then the country collapses.
So yes, it is despicable and vile what they’re trying to do. But the generations who first entrusted their children to the government and entrusted the government to provide all sorts of entitlements to them are to blame. And that isn’t my generation, nor the generations subsequent to me. Elections have consequences indeed….and everyone who voted for government oppression in 1913 with the Fed and the income tax, everyone who voted for Roosevelt and everyone who voted for LBJ (all the other Presidents have been terrible too, but these are the three most egregious violations of freedom in American history) are to blame for this. When you let these people infiltrate the government for almost a century big surprise that you wake up and their trying to abort your grand children in the classroom.
Anyway, the good news is that there isn’t a lot of interest in killing babies anymore and that the government is going to collapse under the weight of it’s own debt in the next few years. So when you’re picking up the pieces next decade and decide government is a really swell idea again, maybe you ought to remember that governments are into baby killing and you’ll think twice about giving responsibility for your life and your children’s lives to a politician or bureaucrat.

The Marxists are all about separating and destroying families. Driving a wedge between parents and their children enables the plan of “New Man.” Public schools sounded good – efficiencies and so forth, but it actually separates parents from their children, and from the influences of parents over their children for most of the day, so the Left insinuated itself into that structure and now uses it not to educate skills like language arts (reading, writing, grammar, spelling) and math but to immerse the child into the Left’s world view, in an attempt to set them ideologically against their parents. In the old days, most children were in the presence of one or both parents, or grandparents or relatives, working alongside them doing whatever the family required. Litttle children sat with adults and listened to them, were guided by adults in how to do work and chores.
The massive warehousing of students has also had another corrosive effect; students can spend their entire childhoods in the company of only their immediate peers – they are stunted in their social growth by not having experience in dealings with people of different ages. A higher percentage of the upcoming generation also have no or only one sibling, so even at home many kids never learn to share, to live with other children. Traditionally, even kids as young as five carried around their infant siblings – no dolls, the real thing, and learned to care for the weakest amongst them.
Now, not so many in America have that rich human experience.
Setting up schools as “education” and “health” facilities is meant to finish tearing parents away from their kids, make kids dependent on the State, and the teachings of the State. Having abortion providers in-house allows the “schools” to hide from parents the toxic results of their degrading counsel to children to not respect themselves.

Everyone should start homeschooling their children. Or, send them to private schools (hey, just like the One and all of Congress does) There simply is no need to send your kids to public schools anymore. Let them sink and burn as California has under union and liberal rule.
Let’s teach our kids to be Americans at home or at a school we can trust.
There are so many teachers who despise the system and the teachers union who would be more than happy to move to a non-union school.

As a mother of 6, all I can say is I am glad my daughter was born first. She is 21 now, beyond the reach of Obama’s minions. My little ones are all boys, so they can’t be dragged off to the abortionist’s office. But their girlfriends can, and my grandchildren can still be sucked into a sink. :-(

Collateral damage from the first Gulf war and the current situation in addition to our thirst for their oil is the main reason there are terrorists.

You’re POV might have a shred of credibility if in fact terrorists hadn’t attacked or plotted attacks against half the countries on the planet, many of whom had nothing to do with “collateral damage” or a so-called thirst for oil.
Someone tell the people in the Philippines, India, Thailand, Egypt, Kenya, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and any of dozens of other places that they shouldn’t have bombed Iraqi civilians and tried to steal other people’s oil.

Martin, learn something about the history of Islamic Radicals. Today has nothing to do with oil. Back in the 1970s during the Cahtah years, the situation fast became what we see right now. His lack of action gave us the mess that we have right now. It grew from there.
There is a book out there that is easy to read and understand. It actually comes with facts, not opinions. You will be faced with the unfortunate FACTS which do not fit into today’s rhetoric. Especially the garbage coming out of this present WH. Find and read “Inside the Revolution” by Joel C. Rosenberg and learn something.
We are in a worse version of the Cahtah years. B.O. is worse than the do-nothing Cahtah. His actions are going to put us into an even more dangerous position than what Cahtah did.

I believe that I’m slightly attuned to hear the agenda of our bad congressional leaders, and am painfully aware of the machinations of Obama and his associates/allies.
But what was unclear to me, when reading Jim’s post on this was, is it purely an act of Congress, anything coming from the White House, etc. Let’s try to have clear/concise wording on who’s formulating and introducing these measures.
The thing that’s been bothering me the most (in the past couple of years) is how they’re now able (in Congress, since they quickly ran amok with the rules, at least in the House) to ram a chosen set of amendments, rules etc. through without the bill having to be affected by those across the aisle. Not revealing the text of the bill or its amendments, etc. The new rules (and the way they’re used) should be producing an outrage. Hasn’t this happened before, in the history of the US Congress? We really need to restore some sane, fair processes in our Congress. Get the word out!
