And, she’s proud of it…
Hillary Clinton told the Pakistanis today that the democrats tax everything that moves.
The Daily Times reported:
“The percentage of taxes on GDP (in Pakistan) is among the lowest in the world… We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move, and that’s not what we see in Pakistan,” she said.

Later the Pakistanis blasted Hillary Clinton over the drone attacks on “innocent civilians” in the tribal areas.
DAWN reported:
US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton came face-to-face Friday with Pakistani anger over US aerial drone attacks in tribal areas along the Afghan border, a strategy that US officials say has succeeded in killing key terrorist leaders.
In a series of public appearances on the final day of a three-day visit marked by blunt talk, Clinton refused to discuss the subject, which involves highly classified CIA operations. She would say only that ‘there is a war going on,’ and the Obama administration is committed to helping Pakistan defeat the insurgents and terrorists who threaten the stability of a nuclear-armed nation.
Clinton said she could not comment on ‘any particular tactic or technology’ used in the war against extremist groups in the area.
The use of Predator drone aircraft, armed with guided missiles, is credited by US officials with eliminating a growing number of senior terrorist group leaders this year who had used the tribal lands of Pakistan as a haven beyond the reach of US ground forces in Afghanistan.
During an interview broadcast live in Pakistan with several prominent female TV anchors, before a predominantly female audience of several hundred, one member of the audience said the Predator attacks amount to ‘executions without trial’ for those killed.
Another asked Clinton how she would define terrorism.
‘Is it the killing of people in drone attacks?’ she asked. That woman then asked if Clinton considers drone attacks and bombings like the one that killed more than 100 civilians in the city of Peshawar earlier this week to both be acts of terrorism.
‘No, I do not,’ Clinton replied.
Earlier, in a give-and-take with about a dozen residents of the tribal region, one man alluded obliquely to the drone attacks, saying he had heard that in the United States, aircraft are not allowed to take off after 11 pm, to avoid irritating the population.

People pay fees and taxes on land and water, and now the Obama administration will tax people on air – air they exhale, CO2; before people know it, they will be taxed on the air they breathe in – Oxygen, because somehow there mysteriously will not be enough to go around. I guess then people will have to pay taxes just to be alive, and if not……boom.

A Democrats cure to everything ‘tax more’.
We do not have National debt because we tax to little, but because we spend to much.
Or as Reagan put it…’Republicans believe everyday is the Fourth of July, but the Democrats believe it is April 15th’.

That’s not exactly true, is it?

“I guess then people will have to pay taxes just to be alive”
Joanne, don’t look now, but the health care bills in Congress will accomplish just that, for the first time in history. For the mere act of being alive, you will be forced to pay into the national health care “insurance.” If you don’t, you’ll have to pay a fine.
A tax by any other name . . .

I think politicians should have a 50% tax levied against them for every time they utter one word. A hot air tax, if you will.

It would be a 50% tax against the wealth they managed to accumulate while in Congress.

One of the reasons it bothers me to take the “war” out the war on terrorism is that if we aren’t fighting a war then the drone attacks may well be illegal. I have no doubt that there are people in our current administration who would like to the drone attacks made illegal.

The people killed along with the Taliban and al Qaeda terrorists targeted by drones are from tribes that support the murder of innocent people in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The Pakistanis in general supported the Taliban until the Taliban began murdering Pakistanis. If the Taliban went back to murdering only Afghans and westerners, the average Pakistani would be quite content.

Optimates vs. Populares…Patricians vs. Plebeians. The Optimates, our “betters” believe us, the Populares, the people, to be nothing more than cash cows, to milk until we collapse. Maybe the Optimate patricians should read about what happened once when they pushed the Roman plebs too far. The plebs didn’t go out on a killing spree or a violent revolution–what they did was far more effective. They left the patricians, telling their “betters” that they could do all the scut work–and the fighting–for themselves and then began building their own community on the next hill over. It didn’t take long for the patricians to get the message…

Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Clintons, the so-called liberals, are foisting a gradual devolution to post-enlightenment collectivism. Enlightenment/modern man emphasized individual or natural rights, e.g., life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. The liberals’ goal is establishing and maintaining the collective, which they will rule. The collective is one and indivisible. The individual is nothing more than a part of the collective. The individual functions for the good of the collective, in which he is a small element. Chairman Barry’s regime is out to advance collective and demote the individual. Hell care reform and environmentalism/cap and economic ruin have nothing to do with reform or saving the planet. They are the means to seize control and subordinate the individual to the collective.

Wow, Clinton doesn’t even know how to define terorrism. How more stupid can one be?
I say we tax the Clintons and her fellow senators and congressmen at least 75%. Let’s see how they like that.

Actually, I would characterize it more as pre-Enlightenment absolutism and aristocracy as in many ways, the Left has returned to a divine right absolutist model of government and society.

Ooh, I bet that tax bit will come back to bite Hillary, especially if she ever runs for office again. It could even be used in ads against Obama.
On the drone brouhaha, that blunder belongs to Dianne Feinstein, who leaked that drone attacks were being launched from a base in Pakistan.

“The modern Democrat believes if it moves, it should be taxed, if it keeps on moving, it should be regulated. If it dosen’t move, it should be subsidized”
-Ronald Wilson Regan
I realized this was too true when he said it. I just never thought it would become one of their talking points.

She should have made the point that the drones are aimed at and attempting to kill terrorists, while the suicide bombings are aimed at the civilian population.
