Commissioner Goodell gets grilled by Rep. Steve King (R-IA) for his double standard against conservative owners. Goodell and the NFL obviously accept racist and mysogynistic lyrics from black rapper owners but will not allow conservatives to own franchises if the state-run media smears them with racist lies.
Good for Rep. Steve King.
He lets it rip:

UPDATE: Rush Limbaugh responded to Commissioner Goodell’s answer to Rep. Steve King:

Of course, Goodell’s a total weasel. He had no answer about the Dolphins’ owners so wouldn’t even address the question, and he got on his high horse about how McNabb is a fine player and a fine person and it has nothing to do with the color of his skin, when I (a) never said he was not a fine person; (b) never said he was a bad QB — just that he was overrated (which no one should deny); and (c) said the MEDIA was obsessed with the color of his skin (which is also undeniable), not that I was. — Rush Limbaugh

Congressman King, IF Goodell comes back, don’t forget to ask him why
Keef Olbermann’s “divisive” comments, especially his latest insult to Michelle Malkin,
aren’t enough to keep him off of the Sunday Night Football crew.

I agree completely that Goodell is a weasel concerning Limbaugh. But to clear up a couple of minor points: Neither of the “black rappers”, who became limited partners in the Dolphins, referred to by King are black. Fergie (Stacy Ferguson) is white and J. Lo (Jennifer Lopez) is hispanic.

If you really want to punish the owners of the Dolphins than make them play the Saints again.

I wonder will the NFL suffer financially? If not, they won’t change.

    Rush is RIGHT!

When Goodell refers to “Unity in the NFL” it reminds me of the slogan of the left today, on almost any college campus: “UNITY THROUGH DIVERSITY”

Of course, they mean every type of “diversity” but that of independent/non-approved thought.

    My favorite Steve King moment:

“My wife lives here with me, and I can tell you… she’s at far greater risk being a civilian in Washington, D.C., than an average civilian in Iraq.”

    So move there.

OT – I don’t know if people know about this, but in case you don’t -

    http://www.infowars.com/obama-youth-homeland-security-wants-to-recruit-girl-scouts/

The latest disturbing example of how the federal government, under the umbrella of Obama’s “civilian security force,” is recruiting young people to serve the state comes with the announcement that the Department of Homeland Security is planning to enlist the Girl Scouts.

“The United States wants to enlist its 3.4 million Girl Scouts in the effort to combat hurricanes, pandemics, terror attacks and other disasters. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched a campaign Tuesday to entice the blue, brown and green-clad multitudes to be even more prepared, with the promise of a new patch if they pitch in,” reports AFP.

The girls will be allowed to emblazon their sashes or vests with the new DHS patch if they complete training courses, according to the article.

The news that Girl Scouts are to be recruited for disaster preparedness by the federal government follows similar programs being run by the DHS that train Boy Scouts how to conduct armed raids on discontented American citizens, described as “terrorists” and “drug dealers” by Homeland Security.

As we reported back in May when the program was announced, one of the “terrorists” that the Boy Scouts were trained to kill in one scenario was actually a disgruntled U.S. war veteran.

In the mock training scenario, the Boy Scouts were ordered to, “Put him on his face and put a knee in his back,” by a Border Patrol agent, who added “I guarantee that he’ll shut up.”

Given recent concerns over the DHS definition of “right wing extremists” and the agency’s penchant to affiliate veterans, gun owners, Ron Paul supporters and even those who question the mainstream media with terrorists, one wonders exactly who the Boy Scouts and now the Girl Scouts are being trained to target.

Both programs will do nothing to quell concerns that President Barack Obama’s promised “national civilian security force” is gradually being formed from such groups in a wider effort to oppress political opposition to Obama’s domestic agenda by demonizing opponents, flames that were fanned further recently when Obama’s own website described its political adversaries as “right-wing domestic terrorists”.”

    The NFL is about “unity?”
    Say what?
Thought it was about playing football and WINNING.
What’s unifying about watching your favorite team whallop someone else’s? It’s not about “unity” it’s about competition – a dirty word in the Progressive Left world-view – just see how many schools are phasing out football because of “violence” and nasty things like bruising and too much sweat. Icky. Be European and play soccer instead, fun to run around and play, a collossal bore to watch.
Hard core Leftist Progressive speech there. Pathetic.
The commissioner accepted falsified quotes, and will not address the fraud and slander that went on. How “unifying ” is that?

The opinion of AMERICAN CATS regarding the Michael Vick incident, has been totally ignored by the NFL.

“Cats4Vick” has released a statement: ” Even though most dogs have chased us unmercifully since the beginning of time, we stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in fur. It would be easy to say the terrible actions of Michael Vick were a kind of FELINE JUSTICE, for past and present wrongs, which interfere with our long struggle for 4-legged unity. However, we must remember, we are all god’s creatures and are fallible. We forgive Mr. Vick. Morever, we wish him well in the NFL against every team, except our favorite…Jacksonville Jaguars”

Such hypocrisy, on part of the NFL.
How many black faces are there in the stands at a professional football game?
    Exactly.

Thank you Rep. King. Rush has always been a person of character and has never said anything for the attacks that have been unjustly said about him. What a shame that these people will stoop to the bottom level of pride in themselves to appease the the culture of evil tongues.

Roger Goodell is a poodle – looking for treats and cuddles from the same media that Rush pilloried with his comments about their affirmative action program for McNabb and other black qbs and coaches.

Next time, bring up Keith Olbermann, too.

    Goddell is a joke.

He needs to concentrate on improving the NFL officiating, and keep his nose out of matters that – as he admitted – weren’t even before the league or the owners officially.

Ask yourself, do you still watch all the games now on TV, or just your favorite team’s games? This, I think, is what most people who are tired of the NFL’s endless celebrating on every play, not to mention Fido Vick’s return, are doing.
