We now know that Barack Obama lied through his teeth to the American public last month. The democrat’s health care bill will kill private insurance, will fund abortion, will cover illegal immigrants, will not be deficit neutral, will cost taxpayers over a trillion dollars and will even include death panels.

This Sunday FOX News will air an interview with Rush Limbaugh discussing this theft.
Click on the Image for the Video
rush
Here’s the transcript:

Rush on the dangers of Obamacare:

“This is not about insuring the uninsured, this is not about health care, this is about stealing one sixth of the private sector and putting it under the control of the Federal government, and when they get this health care bill, it they do, that’s the easiest fastest way for them to be able to regulate every aspect of human behavior.

Because it will all have some related costs to health care, what you drive, what you eat, where you live, what you do, there will be penalties for violating regulations, it’s gonna be the biggest snatch of freedom and liberty that has yet occurred in this country”

Rush, as usual, is spot on. The problem is what do we do about it, they (house and senate) don’t listen to us! They do what they darn well please.

The only real answer is to clean house, and senate, elect only citizens that will not try to make a life out of it.

The only way we can stop Obama and his radical agenda from destroying our country is to send true conservatives to Washington DC. Stand up and support candidates like Doug Hoffman and Marco Rubio.

With all that pseudo science slipping and sliding around Obama, Americans, and the world frankly, have every reason to read that 1990 page bill closely. If Americans don’t know their own history, the world at least can see a dark presence lurking. The people who wrote this bill are, as Noonan says now, truly callous children. What was it that a supreme court justice said about Planned Parenthood and “undesirables?” I think it is supremely ironic that Soros would offer any opinion about the so called health care crisis in America. After all, he got a first hand view as a child, of what these “thinkers” and “experts” called the “final solution.”

    Wild? The world is watching…

That he is correct, there is no doubt. Leftists understand that much of America rejects their agenda, so they rely upon the government to impose it. They are fascists of the highest order.

Politicans that feel as we do are all well and good but we should not allow them to hijack the message for political gain. Make it a message from the people to our elected leaders, ALL of them.
Isolate the message. Don’t throw it in with a whole laundry list. Make it a bi-partisan effort. Everyone who feels taxes have gotten out of hand and we have to rein in government should be encouraged to participate.
Hilary Clinton was wrong when she said if it moves, we tax it. Even when you stop moving, government is still taxing you. Instead of government working for people, we are working to support the government. We need to bnring this back under control.

POWER! It is all about power!

The Democrats spent 8 years pumping out propaganda demonizing the Republicans and Bush/Cheney. After they captured the Legeslaitve branch of government they set their sights on maintaining their power. Hence, Obama (an empty suit with empty rhetoric) is elected to office.

This health care legislation will further cement the Progressive Left’s stranglehold upon America, removing any percieved freedoms and liberties that Americans have. Has anyone noticed how the Progressives are pumping out the idea that ‘healthcare is a human right’? Professional political hacks from the GOP are climbing aboard this socialist train, as witnessed by the number of ‘moderate’ or ‘liberal’ Republicans – Gingrich supporting Scozzafava is just one tiny instance. If anyone thinks that Conservatives are an endangered species they should wait just a few more years – the only Conservatives to be found will be senior citizens dying like flies because they can’t get health care. Everyone else will have ‘rights’; like the right to be subservient (Compliant and obedient to authority) to the Government. It used to be called slavery 200 years ago.

    Welcome to Amerika.

Hey Pawn, you have done something. For the last 6 years the Republicans were in power and you ran things just as you wanted to run them. You let the banking industry take retirement funds a gamble them away. You allowed global corporations to move jobs off shore while still getting a tax break from the U.S. You allowed trillions of dollars to be flushed down the Iraq rat hole while you built Malaki a nation at no cost to him.

Now where are we today after 6 years of good sound conservative rule? Millions of people are having to put off retirement. Thanks to the Republicans, our country has no industry, we produce nothing and have become the consumers of the world. We are out over 4000 lives and trillions of dollars fighting an illegal war. And that is just a tip of the iceberg.

So if the Republicans are so good at leading, then what happened? Why are we in a steady mode of mop up after your Party finished with this country.

Personally, I think we need to get to the root of the problem. As Michele Bachmann said, PelosiCare (ObamaCare) is unconstitutional. We shouldn’t even be debating it. My second worry is Obama making it so he wants to over ride our privacy rights. While he won’t allow anyone to see any documentation of his past. I hate to be labeled a ‘birther’ but after all we’ve seen, after all Obama has done, is it really all that far fetched that he isn’t even eligible to be POTUS? It’s starting to look like he very well may be a usurper.

Way to re-write history, Sherry. You and the rest of the lying Left want Americans to forget (assuming they ever knew) that Congress was controlled by far-left Democrats for the last 2 years of the Bush Administration.

But I know, I know, that’s just “bourgeois” truth to be discarded along with our “bourgeois” freedoms, like the so-called “freedom of speech.” We know the only “truth” for the Left is “revolutionary” truth, meaning whatever lie you can get away with that will advance the political power of the Left.

Another “revolutionary truth” whopper from Comrade Sherry! Brilliant inversion of meanings! In reality, money borrowed by the government to pay off its political cronies, with no chance whatsoever of ever benefiting the economy or returning a profit to the taxpayer, and to be paid for with future confiscatory tax revenues, as the Obama Administration is doing, isn’t an investment. It’s theft.

As far as Blackwater, they are one of many private contractors being used, by the way, which the Obama Administration to this day uses in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Apparently when they got in office they realize that they provide a needed service. It is Blackwater that gives security to all administration officials when traveling to both theatres of war.

    Sherry,
You are so wrong on so many levels. First, let’s get this straight: The term “Republican” and “conservative” are not interchangable. Just as “Democrat” and “iberal” are not interchangable, as the world is about to see. You freely substitute those descriptors so frequently in your inane, tired comments, it HAS to be a strategy. The banking mess was caused almost exclusively because of defaults in the mortgage sector…if you want to get into the folly of derrivatives, fine, I’ll spot you that point. Circling back though, the banking/mortgage and ensuing credit disaster was caused by Democrats! Janet Reno stood up in front of the banking and finance commitee in 1998 and wagged her finger at the CEO’s of every major mortgage lender and said, to paraphrase, ‘You will lend this money to low-income, unqualified borrowers, OR there will be INVESTIGATIONS’.
In other words, we will haul your ass into court and drag out false “redline” charges until your team of attorneys is happily retired on their own Carribean Island. Barney Frank and the rest of the social engineers BRAGGED about this, and underwrote those loans. That is the exact point in history to which you can trace the current financial mess…the mess YOUR idiot president cares nothing about. This is a Democrat disease. And with RahmObama tripling…TRIPLING the deficit in 6 months, it has to be clear, even to a Kool-Aid drinker like you, these progressive fools are trying to destrouy the entire system. I didn’t say Haliburton and Blackwater were illegal. I said money was funneled to them through the illegal war in Iraq. This was in response to the accusation of Obama kicking back to his cronies.

A no-bid contract is not illegal, but it certainly smacks of being unethical. It kinda gives the grantor of contract the ability to reward cronies without any interference.

What is there a company who could do it better and cheaper, we would never know because its no-bid.

People should stop thinking that there are going to be elections in 2010; people should be thinking that there will not be elections in 2010, then perhaps you’ll realize that the time for action is now. From Doug Ross:

    Economic Stimulus Q&A

Sometime this year, we taxpayers may again receive an Economic Stimulus payment. This is an exciting program. I’ll explain it using the Q and A format:

    Q. What is an Economic Stimulus payment?
    A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

    Q. Where will the government get this money?
    A. From taxpayers.

    Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
    A. Only a smidgen.

    Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
    A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

    Q. But isn’t that stimulating the economy of China ?
    A. Shut up.

Where we don’t agree is you guys want to defeat healthcare because you fear a government takeover. You cannot point to one instance where Obama has interfered with a solvent company, so why would he take over the insurance companies?

I would imagine that you are concerned about the cost of the healthcare and are not convinced that it will be deficit neutral. I really could not swear that it will be deficit neutral, but it is needed. I personally know someone who has lost her home because of medical bills, so I can’t help but want affordable healthcare for people who don’t have coverage.

Joanne: Where is anything that substantiates that Obama is taking over anything. Because an insurance plan, just like Medicare, will be offered to the uninsured, then somehow it will takeover everything? Has Medicare taken over the private industry? You cannot go out there and manufacture a result and present it like its true. You have no supporting evidence or any precedent set by this Administration that would indicate in any way that a government takeover is the goal. Obama has never interfered in a solvent industry.

Here you go “Sherry”. You won’t be able to pretend to be so stupid and ill-informed.

Do They Need the Public Option?

Much discussion of the House Democrats’ health care bill has focused on its inclusion of the “public option,” which most observers see as a Trojan Horse intended to serve, ultimately, as the vehicle for socialized medicine as private insurers are driven from the market–a process that President Obama has said may take ten to twenty years.

What strikes me as I read the House bill, however, is how closely it approximates socialized medicine even without the public option. The bill is classic national socialist legislation, in that it takes ostensibly private entities, the health insurance companies, and perverts them into instruments of the state, run top-down and barred from competing among themselves.

Under the House bill private health insurance companies will still exist, but to what end? They will be legally prohibited from competing in any meaningful sense. They will be required to issue substantially the same coverages at substantially the same rates, changes in which must be justified to the government. They will be prohibited from underwriting insurance risks in any rational way: they must pay all bills resulting from preexisting conditions, and they will be prohibited from charging lower-risk customers lower rates.

Obama…is overtaking the private sector. Can anyone say communist coup!

True, Joanne, but unfortunately, Sherry and her Party masters consider this a good thing. There can’t be any other explanation for their mindless, Pavlovian support for this Pelosi-Reid “healthcare” monstrosity. I mean, this is a bill that, if passed, will:

    – tightly limit health insurance choices for all Americans (except elected officials, of course, who have been exempted from its coverage!);

    – vastly increase our health insurance premiums;

    – hugely drive up national debt and taxes;

    – drive private insurance companies out of business; and

    – dramatically lower the quality of U.S. health care and increase patient wait times.

What’s the upside, you ask? Well, for Sherry and her Party masters, it’s that it will simultaneously extend the power of the federal government over nearly every aspect of our lives.

And, hey, what could possibly be wrong with that?

Of course you don’t. You are a liberal.

Have you heard of the free market?

Do you know of the state monopolies currently allowed to exist in the insurance industry?

Do you know they don’t allow for changes in pre-existing condition laws?

Do you know that most states have one insurer that writes up to 85% of the business and therefore there are no free markets in those states?

Do you know, when allowed to exist, the free market will provide a solution to any problem in that market?

Just wait until people see the taxes they will have to pay for all this “Hope and Change(TM)”.

For a person making 45k-80k/year their federal tax burden will increase into the 50%-70% range. Pile on state income and sales taxes and all the federal taxes and fees that the Corruptocrats want to pile on there like Cap and Trade, VAT, increased gasoline tax, etc. and some people will be paying 80%+ to the government. Let’s not forget that prices on everything will rise as the dollar loses value thanks to the government printing money faster then Charmin makes toilet paper.

Jobs will disappear because no one will have a spare penny to spend. People will lose their homes and everything they have because they won’t be able to pay their taxes. They also won’t be worrying about “health care” too much because they will be too busy starving and looking for a dry and warm place to sleep for the night.

The Stimulus program was a direct investment our country. By most accounts jobs have been created as a result. That cannot be a bad thing.

Obama just announced that there is a 3.4B investment in smart grids. This is big and will create a lot of jobs. A shuttered factory will reopen to do the manufacturing. This will put people back to work all over the country when you factor in the supply chain.

He invested money for the cash for clunkers program. As a result GM is hiring people back and together with their 60 money back guarantee, they are selling cars again. Good thing or bad thing.

Those are a few investments that he has made in the 10 months he’s been in office.

Sherry, I won’t debate a parrot. All you do is parrot White House- and MoveOn-approved talking points, and when challenged on them, all you do is parrot other White House- and MoveOn-approved talking points. For example, your defenses of the stimulis and “cash for clunkers” are simplistic. Among other things, you haven’t even weighed the huge negative effects of those programs against their very minor positive effects.

Similarly, your “awareness” that the Iraq War was “illegal” is grossly one-sided and uninformed. The 2003 invasion was authorized by a series of UN resolutions dating back to 1990. Resolution 1441 declared that Iraq was in “material breach” of the cease-fire under UN Resolution 687 (1991), which had required cooperation with weapons inspectors. The result of Iraq’s breach under Resolution 1441 was that member states were not “constrain[ed] from acting to defend [themselves] against the threat posed by Iraq.” Similarly, the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties states that under certain conditions, a party may invoke a “material breach” to suspend a multilateral treaty. Thus, the US and UK had the right to suspend the cease-fire under Resolution 687 and to continue hostilities against Iraq under the authority of UN Resolution 678 (1990), which originally authorized the use of force after Iraq invaded Kuwait. (By the way, this is the same legal argument President Clinton used for Operation Desert Fox in 1998. Do you therefore consider Clinton a “war criminal”?)

Finally, I fail to see how addressing you as “Comrade Sherry” amounts to rude “name-calling.” Doctors don’t object when we call them “doctor;” given your Marxist-Leninist-tinged comments here, why would you object to the title “Comrade”?

You can split hairs all day long on idiotic programs. Here’s the reality: Keynsian Economics dosen’t work. Never has, never will. The solution to our economic woes is to allow the free-market to function. Now go ahead, equivocate all day long. That’s the truth

Contrary to the talking point that the smart grid creates jobs it in fact is shedding jobs. Smart grid is a computerized system that monitors electrical use. It is also replacing the meter readers whose job was to collect billing info.
    Keep believing those talking points.

MikeW, they can’t even get the grid project started due to lawsuits filed by the envirowhackos insisting on impact studies. Meanwhile, we refuse to enhance our chances of energy independence by restricting development of our own natural resources. One day we’ll look back on our stupidity wondering how we could be so foolish to create our own energy crisis. Enron gaming the California energy market will look like child’s play in comparison.

Can we sue our senators for running misleading ad?s Just saw an ad run by my senator claiming to be for the senior citizens, by removing the donut hole on prescription drugs. Stating she will look out for seniors by passing the health care bill. The local papers are not covering the 500 million dollar cut in Medicare, the doing away with Medicare advantage, or the appointment of a Health Care Commissioner (Czar). This is truly misleading. She never listens to the voters, just follows Harry Reid instructions. It is obvious they do not seem to remember government, of the people, for the people, by the people. We must do something to make them realize the voters will remember in 2012. Meet Michelle Bachman on Thursday in Washington.
We can only hope and pray for our country. It’s
founding principals are being stolen left in from of us.

No problem with ObamaCare because all those voting for it have “Pledged His Life, Fortune, and Sacred Honor” in the event that their are miscalculations in the costs, etc.

    Ms Collins,

Please read and reread JPL17s comment. It seems that you may have some reading comprehension issues. I hope that you can somehow focus on a line of dicussion sometime in the future. Focusing helps you to come to a logially consistant conclusion. Changing the subject is a shallow technique. Focusing results an in-depth understanding of the issues whether pro or con.

I hate to tell you, Sherry, but Haliburton’s no-bid contracts started with your own slick willie klinton – and he gave them more money than Bush ever did.

Check the rest of your no-bid contract list, and you’ll find the same to be true.

And your obamassiah just signed a new $20million no-bid contract with Blackwater (now Xe) about a month or so ago.

Who the hell do you think you’re fooling with your dnc talking-points drivel? Certainly no one here. Perhaps, if you checked out some of those talking-points for yourself, you’d find out what the truth really is — if you’re interested.

    Sherry Collins..

    just a teaser..

The Clinton Administration’s Public Case Against Saddam Hussein

and btw, did you know Iraq was in violation of the Treaty Saddam signed to save his butt in the first Gulf War, not to mention 18 UN WMD violations alone (there were too numerous to count others)??

    and a side note..

    this might help as well..

gah, didn’t even get around to what Bush literally stated, what the UN literally claimed, or about the entire Intelligence Community literally being in sync vs what the media reported via the LYING THROUGH THEIR TEETH DEMS, not to mention what Obama said, then didn’t say, etc.. you get the gist.. aah, there’s just way too much to catch you up on, yet you spew headlines straight from the DNC’s stalking points like they was written in stone.. *sigh*

(btw: not my fault if the post comes out wacky looking, blame GP.. :D)

I am a parrot? And who are you parroting? You are repeating something you have heard or read are you not?

Good Lord, Sherry, you are simple-minded are you not? It’s not “parroting” when one recites verifiable facts, regardless of where they came from. Nor is is “parroting” when one links verifiable facts together with reasoning to form a logical argument. That’s all I did in my post above, and it’s what nearly every poster does here every day.

When (if?) you ever learn to use facts that you’ve verified to form a logical argument, instead of parroting partial truths and nonsensical arguments picked up from leftwing propagandists, then you’ll have earned the right to be engaged in “intelligent conversation” here. Till then, I’m afraid you’ll probably continue to get the mocking you so roundly deserve.

“Yep cash for clunkers was a success because it got some GM folks back to work. I’m sure they would disagree with your assessment that it was unsuccessful.”

And what about the taxpayers who had to PAY for it, Sherry? Would they argue it was successful? Why should they pay to put people at GM back to work? And what does CfC do to repair the fundamental problems GM is suffering with its sales?

Amanda is correct. You will lose when you pick a side. This is what the life time politicians want you to do. Neither party can be trusted to look out for the voter’s interest. First, they will look out for their own interest. I’m sure there are ethical politicians who want to do a good job, but they haven’t been in congress for
Multiple terms and multiple years. Will congress be covered by the same government insurance? This question should be asked every day to every member of congress.

No you are doing worse that parroting, you are cutting and pasting some stats that you googled. Your arguments have been debunked so long ago, but if you want to go through the motions then lets go.

    Five resolutions 660,678,686,687,1441.

R660 says for Hussein to get out of Kuwait.

R678 allowed use of force to remove Sadaam Hussein out of Kuwait. It was a trigger to 660 and the only resolution that allowed use of force.

R686 was the cease fire which encompassed 660 and 678.

In 1991 Sadaam Hussein is found to have nuclear capability.

R687 is signed that says Sadaam Hussein will face SANCTIONS if he doesn’t dismantle his nuclear facilities.

In 1998 it was reported that Sadaam Hussein WAS IN COMPLIANCE with 687. Clinton did not lift the sanctions.

Fast forward to 2002 and we find Bush presenting R1441 to the UN for resolution. R1441 said that Sadaam Hussein was out of compliance with 687. R687 called for SANCTIONS, NOT FORCE.

So where did Bush legally have a right to go to war with Iraq. The only resolution that he could legally used to invade Iraq was R686.
R1441 included a complaint about WMDs of which there was no evidence that he had and even if he did, the only legal remedy Bush had was sanctions.

It is illegal for the President TO LIE to take us into war. What part of that don’t you understand.

Bush wanted to remove Sadaam Hussein even before 9/11, and 9/11 gave him cover to do an end run around the middle to get into Iraq. Come on, I know you know that.

I am hardly impressed with your name calling to try and show how intelligent you are. Its a sad individual that has to tear somebody else down to lift themselves up.

To be mocked by you is rather a compliment. I would be worried if you didn’t.

You better check your facts. Cheney as SOD awarded his old company Haliburton the contracts to rebuild Kuwait. Then Cheney privatizes the rebuilding of countries and awards that contract to Haliburton.

In 2001 Cheney awarded Haliburton an open ended contract to provide Army supplies and Navy reconstruction, again no bid. This contract has no ceiling and no end.

So you are incorrect, it did not start with Clinton. By the time Clinton got there, Haliburton already had iron clad contracts given out by Cheney.
