This Week’s” George Stephanopoulos and his guest openly discussed the “Teabagging Movement” this past Sunday.
They didn’t even bat an eye when they used the offensive sexual term to describe fiscal conservatives.

Via Breitbart

More… Eriah added:

There are many children present at these tea parties, I find it highly offensive that the MSM is using sexual references to describe children including my own. Shame on you!

Typical Alinsky tactics, attack the character of your opponent. Ain’t working, just making the Tea Party folks more resolved. When women join the Tea party movement in droves because Obama has taken away womens safety and security. Barry again did not think this through. He can do what he wants for now but the democrat party will pay a huge price. Could cost them 40 to 50 years in the wilderness. LOL

Might this over-use of the word “teabagger” simply mean that these crusty old farts have no clue of the sexual inneundo they’re using?

    olmNo Gravatar
    October 20th, 2009 | 8:20 am | #8

That’s true. They are definitely implementing Alinsky by the book but they are not addressing the outrage.
Keep using the term, morons. We know what it means and it just fuels the outrage.
They are so short sighted. They are enjoying what they see as their little inside joke as the outrage grows.

Honestly, I was never bothered by being called a “teabagger.” Seems to me that if we are the “baggers” they must be the “baggees.” If they want to assign a lewd moniker to us we should run with it. But, what do I know … I’m one of Ace’s morons. We’re sick like that.

I have participated in the Atlanta tea party and made a couple of town hall meetings (not in my district).
the Democrat town halls I attended were packed with people the DID NOT want the snake oil being sold. olm is right keep going, they are just adding fuel to the fire. MSM knows what the term means this is a peek into the MSM’s elitist view. I’ll take a redneck any day more honest and respectful of his fellow man.

While I understand the indignation of those who despise the use of this outrageous play on words, I can’t help but NOT be surprised…considering where it’s coming from.

Continue to call them out, but know and understand that whatever they call it, it’s now an official political movement to be reckoned with and if guttural language is how THEY choose to describe it, so be it. THEY are the ones who will ultimately pay the price.

Stephanopoulos is sooooooo in the tank it’s almost embarrassing to watch as he tries to make himself out to be an independent political analyst. He’s a long-time left wing Democrat with serious credentials to prove it. He, with the encouragement and approval from the highest level of government, is the number one spokesman for Obama. And the White House thinks FOX is slanted? Get out of Dodge.

It appears to me that the liberals are quite thrilled about being ‘bagged’. They can’t stop talking about it. Their eyes glaze over when they say it. Creepy.

The offensive term, if not initially understood by these morons, would have long ago been pointed out to them by someone, don’t ya think? The fact that they can use a derogatory word to decribe a huge amount of Americans proves once more, that they are completely out of touch, and have surrendered to their own agendas and egos entirely.
I had a commenter in my local paper call me a teabagger back in April, and they were kind enough to remove the gross comment, after I reported it.

They are calling REAL Americans…men, women, AND CHILDREN…a lewd and gross homosexual sex term.

They must all be related to Kevin Jennings.

So, they are JUST FOLLOWING OBAMA’S ORDERS as he and Rham and Axlerod and Dunn have ordered them to do.

It all boils down to the fact that Liberals live their lives thinking that everyone should do as they say and not as they do. If Glenn Beck or Hannity called the Left, Leftards, what kind of flack would they get? The reason that they continually use this type of derogatory kind of language is simply because no one calls them out on it. Conservatives need to stop being so passive, if the term OFFENDS them then it’s high time to stand up and let them know it does! That’s the problem with the Right, it’s almost like they are willing to give up their rights in order to appease the fanatical outrage of the left, instead of standing face to face and letting them know they are going to fight for their values/morals, etc.

Political Correctness is so one sided, the Left embrace it as a way to take away everyone’s rights. It’s worked for too long, it started when they took GOD out of our schools and it’s getting to where one person’s being ‘offended’ is reason enough to take away the rights of millions. How do we put a stop to political correctness? That’s the question. If nothing else, how do we get it to work for us?

I find it mostly funny. I visualize a protestor (or even me) smacking the lib in question with a “teabag”, because they all whine like little b**ches, and I grin from ear to ear. Real men deserve a punch in the mouth when they act up, liberals deserve a backhand or a teabag upside the head.

Once used by E.J. Dionne maybe a mistake, repeated again by Stephanopoulos quite possibly an oversight, but the fact that the desperately repenting Peggy Noonan employs the term leads me to believe that there is a gleeful move afoot to spice up their pathetic conversations with this derogatory term.

Some mighty fine comments on this thread; kudos to Lee; he’s got the right advice. Let’s get off our butts and get the word out to conservatives that this is how the media considers them. The more people we can stop from inhaling these Sunday morning clowns and people like O’Reilly and tolerating the RINO Beltway Sellout behavior, the more people will understand what is being done to them.

I hope bloggers make this phenomenon go viral and the real meaning is explained to the ordinary people particularly the good, kindly little old grey-haired men and ladies who spent their time at the Town Hall meetings in an attempt to get this deaf ruling class to listen to their (our) plight.

But this is the liberal echo chamber and it is the best thing that could ever happen to us; these people in the Knee-pad media are content with sexual innuendo because they are the children of or the children of the children of the sixties and this sort of thing is perfectly o.k.

Frankly, they will be in for a big surprise when the rebellion starts in November 2010 and the rest of this fecal matter is swept down the drain in November of 2012.

That’s why I am trying to fight fire with fire. So, I am trying to popularize a new term “tea-bagee.” If the Tea Party protesters are the tea-baggers, those who are being tea-bagged are the tea-bagees. That includes Teabagee-in-Chief and mainstream media tea-bagees.

If they keep on using the insulting term, then being a tea-bagee is more humiliating.

This is not strange. The left in this nation, has always used words, indeed, they are the ultimate expert wordsmiths, to force Amerians into their agenda. Racism, nativism, far right, nazis,(last I heard this was a political party in a nation far away at a unique moment in histroy), exclusionary, inclusive, intolerant, tolerant, mean spirited, etc. So, now, it’s teabaggers, vigilantes(a word coined by Rino Bush) townhall meeting weirdos[just imagine that, Americans being so weird as to discuss things at their townhalls,(frightening I tell you)], Buchanan followers, birthers, etc.etc.

The funny thing is that the left has actually gotten away with this crap for decades. Now that it’s starting to fail, they are attacking regular American citizens who aren’t interested in their communist agenda. And, of course the Main Stream Media is totally leftist. What else can one expect from these cretons.

What did Barry Hussein’s mentor, Alinsky, say about treatment of opponents? Something about picking a target and freezing it? So, maybe we’ll all freeze-dried tea now, eh? Their lame attempts to marginalize Fox News…the ONLY medium that’s doing the job expected of the Fifth Estate! – is no different. Meanwhile, the MSM – less and less “mainstream” with every passing day and each successive Obama outrage – bows and scrapes obsequiously. Or, should I say, obscenely? With “journalists” like these, who needs to bother with Freedom of the Press?

    BobbyNo Gravatar

sophomoric, is a word that describes the Democratic Party to a “tea”. Just like the immature children they are, they cry and cry, “hater”, “mommy you hate me,” etc. until they get what they want. With a child it stays in the family, with a political party, it affects the health of a whole nation. California is the ultimate experiment in leftist control of a state. Just look at it–bankrupt, and ignornat, forty ninth in educational achievment, all democratic party leftist “successes.”
