Alinsky’s RULE Number 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

The Obama White House is not only isolating and targeting FOX News (see Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals) for reporting on the radicals in the administration and the destructive nature of the White House policies, they also are ordering other the state-run media outlets to alienate and isolate FOX News.
FOX News reported, via Free Republic:
The White House is calling on other news organizations to isolate and alienate Fox News as it sends out top advisers to rail against the cable channel as a Republican Party mouthpiece.
Top political strategists question the decision by the Obama administration to escalate its offensive against Fox News. And as of Monday, the four other major television networks had not given any indication that they intend to sever their ties with Fox News.
But several top White House officials have taken aim at Fox News since communications director Anita Dunn branded Fox “opinion journalism masquerading as news” in an interview last Sunday.
White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel told CNN on Sunday that President Obama does not want “the CNNs and the others in the world [to] basically be led in following Fox.”
Obama senior adviser David Axelrod went further by calling on media outlets to join the administration in declaring that Fox is “not a news organization.”
“Other news organizations like yours ought not to treat them that way,” Axelrod counseled ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “We’re not going to treat them that way.”
Asked Monday about another Axelrod claim that Fox News is just trying to make money, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said that while all media companies fall under that description, “I would say sometimes programming can be tilted toward accentuating those profits.”

i don’t think i’ve ever watched Fox, but then again, i don’t watch much TV anyway. after all, the reason that it is referred to as a medium is because it’s neither rare, nor well done….
however, if what they are doing is pissing off Ear Leader and his fellow morons, i may just have to check them out and see what all the fuss is about.
somehow, i really don’t think this “campaign” by the first moron is going to have quite the results he had hoped for…..

Organizing to call his own government
Obama Lobbies his Own Congress Tuesday
http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/15966
Tomorrow—Tuesday, October 20th—change is coming to your neighborhood. Just minutes from your house, local Organizing for America, OFA volunteers will be gathering in living rooms and community centers, reaching out to key voters and asking them to call on their representatives to support reform and thank those already doing so.
And, that evening, President Obama will be joining in via a live web broadcast exclusively for volunteers.
It’s a critical time—when every member of Congress is finally in the thick of the debate—so we’ve set an ambitious national goal of 100,000 calls to Congress placed or committed to in a single day. Can we do it? That depends on you.
You’re getting this email because there’s a “Time to Deliver” event tomorrow in your neighborhood. Please check out all the details and RSVP right away:

CONTROL; that’s the watchword for today and everyday in the fraud’s administration. Despite the indignation for the incredibly bitter diatribe that spews from Olberdork’s mouth, it is his Constitutional Right. It’s called Freedom of the Press. Shutting him down, simply because you don’t like what he says, would be a violation of his Constitutional Right to Free Speech and Freedom of the Press.
This president’s actions are bordering on (if not already across) the line as an on-going violation of that Right as it pertains to FOX. He/they know that no action can be taken against the president because they have both houses of Congress locked up tight. But, that lock just might become loosened considerably after the midterms. We can only hope!

Or not. Drudge is running the headlines that the NY Times just had to cut another 100 jobs. That they couldn’t even sell the Boston Globe. And, that their advertising dollars went south.
As to what Axelrod says, the most amazing thing to me, is Obama’s tolerance. It’s not as if he were Richard Nixon, and would have to cut his own tongue out to stop this nonsense. But these guys from Chicago aren’t just parasites, Obama’s afraid to be without them. How come? Is he allowed to kick them around the office? Or does he get other “privileges?”
Where’s the common sense? Anyone who thinks this is a workable business model should talk to Punch, over at the NY Times. He’d probably trade ya a spot on the Brooklyn Bridge, for the rag that’s left of his newspaper.
To be like Fox? Well, you’d have to be like Murdoch. Much more interested in growing viewership, than in protecting your elite buddies. And, running an elite protection racket on your trust fund proceeds.

Alinsky and friends didn’t listen to the Mark Twain rule:
“Never pick a fight with a man who buys his ink by the barrel.”
Mark Twain
Obama: Good luck in your fight with the media. Last I checked, it’s still a free country.
October 19th, 2009 | 6:29 pm | #27
I don’t care if this thing comes out of “Alinsky’s rules.” It’s the dumbest stuff a politician could do. If Obama were Nixon he’d need his tongue cut out to stop doing this stupid stuff.
Heck, even Nixon had to fire Haldeman and Erlichman. It’s not as if working in the line of fire doesn’t eventually get your feathered hat blown off.
So, we’re gonna keep watching. Nothing to do with Alinsky. More to do with traffic accidents. And, the sounds they make that call your attention to them, in the first place.
October 19th, 2009 | 6:34 pm | #28
Go to FoxNews online now and give them some traffic. It’s quick, easy, and pisses the White House off when the traffic numbers for major sites like that one come in each week. And don’t think they don’t look for it.

This is totally incredible! Unprecedented.
Senior white house staff/advisors, dancing all over Washington on any TV show they can get on — to whine and snivel that, “Fox is bein’ mean to us; and Fox is pickin’ on us. Waah. Waah. Waah.”
These are supposed to be grown men and women, advisors to and servants of “the most powerful man on Earth”, but instead, come off as a bunch of whiney teenage girls in some high school clique – complaining about some girl who won’t go along with their program; and, instead, steals their boyfriends.
These guys are supposed to be professionals at the game of politics, schooled in all its finer points and able to play hardball better than anyone else in the game. But they look and act like the most rank, first-time amateurs ever to speak for the president.
If they’re the ones giving obama advice, it’s no wonder that he looks like a complete fool.
Of course, every time they open their mouths, everybody at Fox dances for joy because their ratings take another jump upward.
And Murdoch must be dancing a jig for joy and praying they keep it up.

I really am unimpressed with Chicago politicians. October 19th, 2009 | 8:40 pm
It’s always worked for them before.
They’re just a mob of Chicago political hacks (thugs) who have absolutely no understanding of nuance.
They don’t know any other way to behave – and they probably can’t understand why Fox doesn’t fall right into line if they want to “do business”.
And, they need to control the “news”, and Fox won’t play the game. Fox reporters keep asking the “wrong” questions and exposing the “wrong” people to public inspection (not to mention ridicule).
In the final analysis, the obama cabal is a mob of fanatical amateurs, schooled in methods which don’t work the way they want them to work – and trying to institute a system which has *never* worked on a people who refuse to be enslaved for “the good of mankind”.
They’re doomed to failure in the end.
The only real problem is that they’ll want to take down the country with them. (Much like the spurned lover who declares, “If I can’t have you, no one can.” And kills the object of their obsession.)

Most importantly, the WH intervention in the abrogation of free speech is patently unconstitutional.
Any attempt by the government to breach the right to free speech as spelled out in the First Amendment and impose state-controlled media responses to obliterate opposition is a move toward tyranny. This is a step toward totalitarianism.

Obama Rahm and Axlerod…Dunn…going after the media that doesnt put them on a special pedestal and shine glorious light on them…just light that exposes them for what they really are…deceptive.
But then…their supporters are actively and publicly now going after what they want…to make the United States of America a communist/socialist nation. They dont hide it anymore and I dont think they are unaware what Obama and his henchmen are doing…they support him doing it. Silence all critics, diminish critics, and get rid of them eventually…like Chavez did.
That is…if we let them.
Far as Im concerned, FOX is the only news channel I watch. I used to watch CNN, MSNBC… but I felt they were very biased and not giving me the whole truth or perspective…FOX gave me that other side and I found it agreeable. I am not a leftist and do not want to get all my information from the leftist cheesecloth, especially finding them to be utterly dishonest as they are.
The more the leftist President and his goons Rahm, Axlerod, and Dunn work to shut down free speech and good reporting like FOX, the more I will defend them and support them.

FCC-Church Conspiracy to Silence Talk Radio and Fox?
http://spectator.org/archives/2009/10/20/fcc-church-conspiracy-to-silen/print
[ It invited me as a UCC member to join a "fast from media violence" sponsored by So We Might See. The invitation says:
Does violence in the media, particularly hate speech against immigrants, impact levels of actual violence?
That's the question we will be asking during the 2009 Media Violence Fast, October 19-26. We invite your participation at http://www.mediaviolencefast.org.
So far so usual. The staff of my denomination, lovely people I'm sure, are in fact hardcore left-wingers in their politics, even though UCC pews are filled with politically self-identified conservatives.
Then came the interesting part, or, if you will, the part that sent a chill through my radio. Reverend Guess, on behalf of my own denomination -- without so much as a by-your-leave to the rank-and-file 1.2 million members -- made plain, in the name of the United Church of Christ that:
As a participant, you will be asked to sign a petition to the Federal Communications Commission asking that it open a notice of inquiry into hate speech in the media. We will also urge the National Telecommunications and Information Agency to update its 1993 report, The Role of Telecommunications in Hate Crimes.
Read the key phrases again. "Open a notice of inquiry into hate speech in the media." Meaning, church members are being asked to sign on to an already-in-progress petition to the FCC that is opening the door to legal sanctions from the federal government on "hate speech in the media."
Targets?
Together, we can express our concern about the frequency and tone of anti-immigrant remarks made by several TV and radio commentators, such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage and Lou Dobbs.
Hate speech in the media is a growing problem that must be examined before it can be solved.
So I took a look at this petition to Commissioner Copps, properly made out in the finest protocol to his colleague, the new Obama FCC Commissioner Julius Genachowski. Also listed in the formal address was Lawrence E. Strickling the new Obama Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information. And what did I find there?]
