More than 10,000 people gathered at Sam Houston Race Park Monday night to make a political statement. Organizers believe it was the largest tea party in Houston.
Congratulations to the North Houston Tea Party Patriots for organizing the event.
The Lone Star Times has a report on the massive rally.

Good turnout. However, we must be mindful of opportunist politicians that are RINOs and not actual conservatives. To keep up the momentum we need to keep the parties about fiscal responsibility, individual liberty and limited government. Let’s keep religion out of it and focus on the US Constitution.

At about 1:32 into the film there is a guy who looks a Hell of a lot like Archie Bunker. People like olberman will love that.

This makes me proud to be an American.
And in my best Rev Wright, G-D the mainstream media, especially Olbermann, who needs them anyway?

I attended this Tea Party last night and have very shaky video of Lord Monckton’s speech. The man can rev up a crowd.
He looked like a Naturalized Texan in his cowboy hat. He warmed up the crowd with “Howdy, Texas!” When we replied with a loud “Howdy!”, he instructed us that we were to reply “Howdy, m’Lord!”, which we did. Great fun, that.
I arrived about 6:40, to find the massive parking lot already half full. 15,000 people on a Monday night after work. Nothing to see here…move along.

HEY OTTER: You say (above) that a man in the Tea Party crowd had a certain “Archie Bunker” appearance? Oh dear! Fatal mistake! We’re all doomed!

Lord Monckton in a white cowboy hat = priceless. Hope you can make it to Nashville for the Tea Party convention in Feb 2010.

I was there last night and we actually had over 15,000. I know because I asked 5 different police officers and 10-11 staff members – ALL of them said we had over 15,000. The rally was excellent and all the speakers were brilliant. The most important message is that it is time to draw a line in the sand. You’re either with us OR you’re against us. NO MORE COMPROMISE. Not with the Democrats and definitely not with the Republicans. Its a conservation conversation that’s sweeping the nation. You either get on board or you get left behind.

Ariel: Hey, nice to see at least one of the four major angels commenting here :P
Seriously though, does anyone think the msm will do or say anything Positive about this?
IF they even noticed it. I’m not even sure Lord Moncton has been noticed by any of them since he began speaking on the upcoming power grab in Copenhagen.

Watch out, everyone, because it’s come to this:
Some of us are accused of being “white”!
Yes, white!
This is certainly a game-changer.

I have a write up of it as well at the Houston Chronicle!

I agreed on what the guy said about inner city. The democrats had done nothing to help the inner city and they made it even worst. You know, 10 dollars for a vote is no good anymore. Time to look around and ask your incumbent leaders what have they done lately?

It’s time to build an ark.
[But first: The point was made on Beck’s show that once a health care plan passes in Congress — any health care plan will do — that the tinkering and folding and spindling and mutilating will inevitably follow. That’s why there WILL be a health care bill of some kind even if it changes nothing. Once the legislation is in place the games will begin.
[..]
The conundrum comes down to this: does the FCC have any legal power to step in if it finds that an ISP is unnecessarily interfering with an application (like BitTorrent) that millions of consumers use to share files on the Internet? The Commission and its supporters say that Congress gave the agency the broad authority it needs to do the job. Opponents say those powers are nowhere to be found.
[..]
Guess what? Not all those mesmerized Iowans
who voted for Obama are so starry-eyed now. ]
