Wow!… This is excellent!
Thank you Rep. Mike Pence for this wonderful video.

Congressman Mike Pence released the following video, urging all Americans to rise up and let their voices be heard in opposition to the Pelosi health care plan.
“Let Your Voice Be Heard”

Please PASS IT ON!

Remember: If the liberals in government have their way. They will forever change the relationship between government and We the People.
It’s time to rise up!

UPDATE: Here’s the transcript–

“As President Ronald Reagan said: ‘Since the American founding, we have been a people with a government, not the other way around.’”

“Now comes the Pelosi plan for a government takeover of health care. It is a freight train of runaway spending, bloated bureaucracy, mandates and higher taxes.

“If the liberals in Washington have their way, they will forever change the relationship between the government and ‘we the people.’

“If the Pelosi plan for a government takeover of health care passes, we will each become dependent on the political class in Washington for the provision of services of the most urgent and personal nature.

“Illness, our own, or more importantly the illness of a parent, or a spouse, or a child, has the capacity to suspend our priorities.

“What was important before the crisis grows dim in the harsh light of disease affecting a loved one.

“The Pelosi health care plan targets us when we are most vulnerable.

“The Pelosi health care plan makes us dependent on the state at the most urgent moment in the life of our family.

“Their hope: that little by little, we’ll yield our freedoms and our resources to the ever-growing appetite of the federal government.

“After years of runaway federal spending, borrowing, bailouts and takeovers, it’s easy to give way to despair; but I assure you: there is a remnant that still cherishes freedom, personal responsibility and limited government all across this land.

“I have seen it in the faces of ordinary Americans who have traveled to rallies, town halls and tea parties. I have read it in my mail. I have heard it from friends and neighbors who have lost their jobs but not lost their faith in America.

“The time has come for those who still cherish our ideals—the ideals of our founding: life, liberty and the pursuit of the American dream—to arise.

“Wherever you are, whoever you are, let your voice be heard.

“Republicans in Congress who are standing in the gap, cannot do this alone.

“I often tell my colleagues that a minority in Congress plus the American people equals a majority.

“‘We the people’ have the power to stop out-of-control spending at the federal level.

“‘We the people’ have to power to stop the Pelosi health care plan, in its effort to take over one-sixth of the American economy.

“And ‘we the people’ have the ability to protect the finest health care system this world has ever known and demand real health care reform that will reduce the cost of health care without growing government.

“I appeal to you not as Republicans or Democrats, liberals or conservatives, but as Americans.

“You cherish freedom, you fear the crushing weight of big government and debt that Congress and this Administration are leaving to our posterity, and you still believe that the strength of this nation is in the character and courage and ingenuity of the American people, and not the politicians and the bureaucrats.

This is your moment, now is your time, let your voice be heard.

UPDATE: House Republicans found 111 new ‘bureaucracies’ in $1.2 trillion Pelosi health care bill.

Nice but be careful of letting these established politicians of taking over our conservative movement. Many republicans are also responsible for voting in TARP.

Keep up the good work Mr. Pence. I just forwarded your video to all of my friends and family. They have underestimated the American people. You are not alone.

This isn’t a partisan issue, it is a government issue. Jason is correct… conservative is what we are and conservative is what we want from our representatives no matter what party they day they are from. It is their actions and not their names or labels that should be used to define them. They have an obligation to We the People and that is to be a Responsible representative of the People and if they can’t do that, we need to find those that will. We also need term limits and to cut the perks of elected officials and perhaps that will garner a better crop.

Jason and Pat, there is some truth in what you say, but can’t an established politician also be a conervative? Besides, Mike Pence is getting out a convincing, encouraging and motivating message. He is still our voice in DC and I like what I am hearing.

I know that some Republicans voted for TARP and are now regretting it. Just like a lot of people voted for Obama and are REALLY regretting it and are now leaders in the grassroots movements.

YES! This is the first video I have seen in a VERY long time that captures the essence of the Reagan communication theme. It is INCLUSIVE and not divisive. It builds on a common foundation of what unites all of us, and not what divides us.

YES! Whoever wrote these words, if it was not the Congressman himself, needs to write like this for many others. If these are the Congressman’s own words, he needs to be out there in front of the entire nation and not just his district. THESE are the kids of words the party needs to have someone speaking. THIS is the kind of leadership the party needs right now.

    BRAVO!

Is that any reason to keep quiet as the Democrats imperially screw up everything they touch or, in the case of Iran, don’t touch?

We all know the GOP failed. That’s why they were tossed from power. Now, the Democrats are failing much more spectacularly and to our much greater detriment. We criticized the GOP and then removed them from power. We’ll do the same to the Democrats.

Despite what you think, your party is not immune from the laws of natural selection and physics that govern politics.

One thing I think some of you President Bush bashers need to remember is that the rebuilding of security and intelligence after 9/11, let alone the cost of the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. If you didn’t want our country to rebuild our military, security and intelligence after Slick Willie left us in a mess, you have an argument. However, that was not cheap. Spending would have been less without those costs.

And a huge chunk of the TARP money has been repaid. It may not be all repaid; however, it isn’t the mess that is the Stimulus Bill.

I would be much more relaxed about the condition of our country, let alone our security, if President Bush was still in office rather than B.O.

I dare you to find any President who has not had to sign budget bills that did not completely satisfy him.

If you are against the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, fine. But neither of those wars were cheap. Especially after Slick Willie reduced the military by 25% under the “Rebuild America” program.

    Pat the First,

bush went into Afghanistan with the army President Clinton left him, despite what you might be told by the stooges at False News. But as long as we’re talking history here, let’s talk about the obstruction and treason committed by republicans during the Clinton Presidency. Every time President Clinton made any moves against Binladen, your representatives spent days
decrying the attacks as a diversion from your continual searches for sex scandals. Good move traitors, you weakened our country.

Bush took the largest surplus in our history and turned it into the largest deficit in our history. Bush started the wall street giveaway, remember? Bush let Bin laden escape in Tora Bora, remember? Bush wanted to give Social Security to wall street, remember? Bush is the only president in our history to have served in the military and not received an honorable discharge, remember?

Beergut is dangerously ignorant; he does not know what a fascist is, and in his ignorance uses “fascist” as one of his ultimate insults against anybody and everybody he hates and wants to insult.

A fascist is one who favors, and effects actions to promote, a totalitarian society whereby the government has total control over everybody and everything. Mussolini was the fascist dictator in Italy from 1922 to 1943. In fact he was the one who coined the term “fascist” to describe his totalitarian form of government; he also coined the term “totalitarian.” Fascism is not basically racist. The Nazi were fascist and racist. They were fascist in that they took totalitarian control over essentially every aspect of German society, in more or less the same fashion as the fascists in Italy took totalitarian control over essentially every aspect of Italian society,

The whole thrust of Democrat policy ever since FDR has been fascist (with important and horrid precedents from the Wilson Administration). Up until now the Democrats have gone about promoting their unconstitutional fascistic projects in relatively small increments; but the present Obama Administration and the Democrat Congress have now decided to go whole hog and pretty thoroughly convert America into a fascist nation.

Let’s be perfectly clear, Beergut: The fascists in the present political context are the Democrats and their active supporters. It is pretty clear therefore that you are a fascist. Sarah Palin is fighting to preserve American liberty and the freedoms which Americans have enjoyed since the American Revolution; she is the very opposite of a fascist. Since you apparently hate our American freedoms and especially hate people who fight for those freedoms, I suggest you at least find some epithet for Sarah Palin, which is not ridiculously wrongheaded and reveals you as an ignoramus.

When people like you try to pervert our language by call people who are opposed to fascism fascists that that also is a fascistic deceit. The Nazis were very adept at doing such things, as is discussed in Liberal Fascism, by Jonah Goldberg. You should read that book; it would vastly improve your understanding of fascism. Until you do so, it would be best if you stopped advertising your ignorance, by calling people you do not like fascists, and realize that word applies most of all to you.

PS: Hey fascist Beergut, I just noticed that you posted:

“During the bush [sic] years it was treason to speak out against the president, my how times have changed….”

Bush did not attack and attempt to silence people and news networks that he did not like — that is what Obama has been doing — and of course it was not treason, fascistic liberals did it all the time with complete impunity. Do you know anything?

Beergut, Slick Willie could have killed bin Laden at least 2 times, but each time he was too busy to make the decision (sound familiar?). We had him in our sights, but one time he was too busy with golf. Slick Willie was just another “ditherer” cut in the same cloth as Cahtah and B.O.

President Bush did not go to war with Afghanistan with the same army left to him by Slick Willie. By the time the war was started, the military had expanded due to incredible increase in sign ups after 9/11. Where were you during that time?

Oh, let me guess . . . you were not paying any attention, just like members of this present WH administration.

No matter how pompous the Dems act they are terrified of the wrath of The American People. Michelle Bachman is asking everyone who can to come to Washington on Thursday and hang out in the Capitol speaking to all the Congress people who pass by. I would love to see these 3 take it upon themselves to reform and lead the Republican party. IMHO, Demint would make an excellent, back-to-American-values POTUS.

You suggest that Pence is jumping on the conservative bandwagon or that, watch out! he could be just another beltway pol. You urge everyone to do their homework on Pence, hinting of a rino underbelly, when you obviously haven’t even done your own. Or have chosen to ignore it for whatever reason. His record is clear and it’s consistent and long-standing. Pence is not jumping on any conservative bandwagon because he was never off it.
