Hmm. Bill Clinton spoke out on global warming junk science this weekend.
Clinton told his audience:

“Global warming could make some places colder.”

So is this good news or bad news?
It’s so confusing.
Here’s the audio-video:
(Warning on language at end of video)

Via Story Balloon
It looks like we’re already seeing that cooling trend.
The Earth has been on a cooling trend for the past 10 years.

    For what reason should anyone pay attention to an ex-political bloviater with zero scientific knowledge? I don’t understand why his comments on the subject should hold any weight at all.

    Awww, poor Clinton. Nobody loves him. Not even Monica.

    But if it’s “climate change”, then every theory about CO2 is totally for the rats. Though, any of those theories is for the rats anyway. After all, none are based on actual observation, or experiments, or even on simple physics, but rather on badly written programs.

    What a bunch of hosers.

    So the original raw datasets have been “lost or destroyed” (these guys have been listening to Obama’s jobs rhetoric). In addition, many of the recording stations are in unsuitable locations, such as near buildings, parking lots, air conditioners, etc. And, the computer code contains artificial corrections.

    From the CRU code file osborn-tree6/briffa_sep98_d.pro , used to prepare a graph purported to be of Northern Hemisphere temperatures and reconstructions.

    ;
    ; Apply a VERY ARTIFICAL correction for decline!!
    ;
    yrloc=[1400,findgen(19)*5.+1904]
    valadj=[0.,0.,0.,0.,0.,-0.1,-0.25,-0.3,0.,- 0.1,0.3,0.8,1.2,1.7,2.5,2.6,2.6,$
    2.6,2.6,2.6]*0.75 ; fudge factor
    if n_elements(yrloc) ne n_elements(valadj) then message,’Oooops!’
    ;
    yearlyadj=interpol(valadj,yrloc,timey)
    This, people, is blatant data-cooking, with no pretense otherwise. It flattens a period of warm temperatures in the 1940s 1930s — see those negative coefficients? Then, later on, it applies a positive multiplier so you get a nice dramatic hockey stick at the end of the century.

    Above is from
    http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=1447

    An entire “scientific” process corrupted from start to finish, data shielded from not only the paying public, but other scientists, fixed journal publication, blacklisting of dissenting scientists, leading to political thievery and policy affecting humanity as a whole.

    And still, not a SINGLE reasonable solution to addressing environmental concerns!

    In another post, Eric Raymond puts forth a few valid options.

    An environmental lobby that really cared about saving the planet would be agitating for crash programs to replace the burning of fossil fuels with nuclear energy; buying up rainforest acreage to stem loss of biodiversity; funding research into better battery- and supercap-based storage technology so low-density renewable power sources could be aggregated into baseload power. But the envorinmentalists we have won’t do these things, because they’re fixated on the wrong problems and the wrong means of solving even those.

    Leading to politicians who use this fiasco to enact a global agenda of redistribution.

    There is a vast occurrence of criminality in this enterprise at multiple levels, from academic/scientific, to political, and beyond.

    Most people, when they read 1984, were scared. When Barack Obama and his fellow travelers read it, they started taking notes.

    There is very little that man can do to impact the overall temperature of the earth. As one area of the planet warms, another cools. As one area of ice grows, another shrinks. Regardless of what people, or even most all of nature does, the overall entropy of the earth has remained constant for millions of years.

    For those that doubt, tell me, during the last ice age 10,000 years ago, why was the sea level the same as today? We had glaciers thousands of feet high, yet the sea level was the same as today.

    Terry Gain: With the exception of the warming caused by el Nino in 1997, there has been no warming since 1987. Check out this graph.

    That is not the surface temperature, but the tropospheric. The relationship is not straightforward. This is the surface temperature from NOAA.

    Roy Spencer: Believe it or not, very little research has ever been funded to search for natural mechanisms of warming…it has simply been assumed that global warming is manmade.

    Spencer misstates the contrary position. There is strong evidence that CO2 influences global temperatures.

    NOAA: One of the most remarkable aspects of the paleoclimate record is the strong correspondence between temperature and the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere observed during the glacial cycles of the past several hundred thousand years.

    And yes, if the Earth warms, some areas could actually become cooler, such as if the Atlantic Heat Conveyor is disrupted.

    Really? Perhaps you’d like to share the mechanism of how this occurs along with the math to support it? What? You don’t have it? Your dog ate it, you say? Ahhh…. I see….

    Flipping Dubai World

    [The global question is how does the flipper adventure in San Diego County connect to the sudden news that the Dubai World house of cards has collapsed and that the whole operation, with those silly palm leaf islands, is on the brink of REO?

    [..]

    Does this connect to Carlsbad? Yes. That toxic waste keeps
    circulating; credit is flagrantly, bottomlessly dubious for Dubai.

    Unknown is how this will affect worldwide credit costs. European banks are said to have $40 billion at risk. The poison sloshes toward our shores, also, and the unanswered detail right now is how much of the Dubai debt is at Citi or Bank of America and so forth? ]

    Radioactive Bank Run

    [Tehran’s aim is to goad and provoke the powerless propaganda of El Baredi and the IAEA and its feckless sponsor the UN Security Council plus Germany (P5 + 1), and the plan is perfectly in place for a winter of POTUS blame-shifting, finger-pointing and pomposity.

    Tehran uses this confrontation to deepen its grip on the Iranian national mania for pride of place, for supremacy, even if it comes at the hands of usurpers, liars, bullies and sadists such as the Ahmandinejad coup cronies. The Supreme leader is sickly and failing, and his successor is likely a reload brute, Yazdi, who commands the savage obedience of the murderous IRGC.

    [..]

    Michael Vlahos, author of “Fighting Identity,” and I have been studying the brittle House of Saud on-air for some weeks and now believe this is a significant moment. The National Guard is loyal to the king until and if the frustration of an insurgency war wears down the lines of control. The bank run cannot be contained. But most specially the Tehran regime is boasting about its successes with the Houthis on state TV. Military instability in the Gulf now matched by financial instability. Who is loyal to a monarch when you are not paid?]

    I guess that depends on what the words “some places” mean. Also liked the ‘colder’ comment. Although the libtard media is ignoring this story there is palpable panic as their worldview on the global warming hoax comes crashing down and those idiots who were against global warming are vindicated. Which means if those idiots were right about the global warming hoax, what else were they right about?
