The brave Iranian democrats are marching again today against the brutal killer regime on the 30 Year Anniversary of the siege on the US Embassy in Tehran.
The Iranians are protesting in Tehran, Tabriz,
The protesters called out to the Americans:
“Obama, Obama, Are you with the regime or with us?”
Sadly, we all know the answer to that question.
The Obama Administration stands firmly with the regime.
** Planet Iran is following the protests today.

“Obama, Obama, are you with the Regime or us?”
We would all like the answer to that question.

The answer is obvious. The elitist Dear Leader Hussein doesn’t give a fig for people struggling for freedom against a vile, oppressive, tyrannical regime. In fact, he rather agrees with the aggressors. It’s time for Netanyahu to make another speech in support of freedom and liberty again and show the Islamo-Marxist in the WH how a real statesman should behave.

Obama has just been handed a golden opportunity to rescue an Iranian policy that has produced nothing but deserved contempt from the Mullahs. He was at a dead-end. It was down to either bomb or surrender outright. We know what his choice would be.
Now, with fresh protests errupting in Iran, he can apply pressure to the regime where it really hurts. Strong words of support for the protests could achieve much – either in getting real concessions or better yet, in toppling the regime itself.
Will he take the opportunity he has done nothing to deserve?
November 4th, 2009 | 8:47 am | #9
A king is nothing without his people.
My question is, if the mob overthrows their leader, who and what will fill the vacuum. Will they prove themselves good people, or just angrier versions of corrupt people?
November 4th, 2009 | 8:51 am | #10
I’m with the regime. isn’t it obvious?
November 4th, 2009 | 8:55 am | #11
It has been said that repression strengthens the repressed. This clearly seems to be the case in Iran. When governments overreach, the people eventually push back. I wish them the best.
That they are calling on Obama is ironic. It seems in the USA today, we are dealing with the overreach of our own government – and more and more, the people are starting to push back.
It is interesting that in Iran, the government clearly states their objectives and has no qualms about their desire to totally control the people, while here in the USA, our government proceeds in the manner of the charlatan. Here they sing the song of greater abundance for all to the tune of kumbaya, but what they are actually peddling is a thinly disguised grab for political power – the people be damned.
November 4th, 2009 | 9:03 am | #12
I hate to say this, but I just don’t give a crap about the Iranian people. I cheered for them months ago, but now I just don’t care.
Even if they throw the Mullahs out, they won’t become any more civilized.
I hear they’re chanting “down with America”.
Screw them.
November 4th, 2009 | 9:03 am | #13

November 4th, 2009 | 9:11 am | #15
I think they are chanting “Obama, yo mama!”
November 4th, 2009 | 9:12 am | #16
And, it was another student-led and organized protest. The young are fed up and want to be rid of oppression, lack of jobs, lack of freedom, etc.
November 4th, 2009 | 9:13 am | #17
Obama will not protect them. His goal is subjugation of the American People. The Iranians are already under tyranny, so he is not worried about them.

November 4th, 2009 | 9:34 am | #19
Calling on “Obama” for help is like pleading to a box of rocks or a bag of hammers for help. The students mistakenly believe that Obama is America and that he speaks for Americans. He’s the president and was elected to do those things – but he lacks the ability to do much beyond read other people’s words from a teleprompter. He’s an empty suit. And it’s sad that the students don’t know that.

“OT: (sort of) Where are the screaming liberals now that Obama wants to extend the Patriot Act indefinitely?
Liberals are quite comfortable with tyranny from the Left. They don’t think it will be them who will suffer under it. Just those who have the “wrong” views.
November 4th, 2009 | 9:39 am | #22
He wants to extend the Patriot Act not to monitor our enemies, but to monitor his political enemies here in the US.
November 4th, 2009 | 9:42 am | #23
Let me guess. Obama will answer their question by taking the side of the regime. Just like he did when this whole mess started.
Digusting but oh so predictable.

The Iranians are oppressed so they may not know that President Pantywaist likes to be chummy with freedom hating thugs Castro, Zelaya, and Chavez. Why on earth would he ever support an oppressed people rising up to take back their freedom?

Iran’s Supreme Leader spurns Obama overtures
What’s so disheartening about this is not that Khamenei has rejected any idea of talks with the United States. This was to expected by anyone with half a brain and no naive illusions about the nature of the Iranian regime.
What is truly depressing is that the message from Iran’s Supreme Leader that he will not talk to the US and that indeed, such dialogue is “naive and perverted” will be ignored by the White House and they will continue groveling before the Iranians anyway.

I wonder about all these protesters in Iran. I wonder how many are Jewish, or, paid and organized by the CIA, in an attempt to cause trouble for the government.
In the early 1950’s, the British and the CIA covertly organized an overthrow of the legitimately elected, Democrat government of Iran, headed by Premier Mossadeq. Members of his government and cabinet were tortured and murdered by CIA and Brit agents who had organized the overthrow because Premier Mossadeq wanted an oil agreement with the Brits that was more fair to the people of Iran.
US and Brit oil companies, aided by the CIA forced the Shah of Iran upon the people and over 30 years of secret police, torture, imprisonment, and murder by Savak.
IF Iran is planning to build a nuke, God bless them. Israel has over 400 nukes, and has not signed any international agreements regarding nukes, nor, have they admitted to having them.
If you were in the same situation, as Iran is, with Israel having over 400 nukes, having killed scientists and politicians of Iraq, and doing the same now in Iran, you would want a nuke, too.

Operation Northwoods,
The reason we overthrew Mossadeq was that, while he was elected democratically, he was a communist/marxist/socialist who had promised to become closer to the USSR. We couldn’t let that happen to their oil reserves. It was just one part of an overall cold war strategy to contain the Soviets, not some sinister plan to steal their oil.
