While American media continues to largely ignore the Climategate scandal, the British press continues to hammer the global warming scam artists.
scandal
After the release of the Climategate documents Christopher Booker at The Telegraph slammed the scientists behind non-existent global warming:

A week after my colleague James Delingpole, on his Telegraph blog, coined the term “Climategate” to describe the scandal revealed by the leaked emails from the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit, Google was showing that the word now appears across the internet more than nine million times. But in all these acres of electronic coverage, one hugely relevant point about these thousands of documents has largely been missed.

The reason why even the Guardian’s George Monbiot has expressed total shock and dismay at the picture revealed by the documents is that their authors are not just any old bunch of academics. Their importance cannot be overestimated, What we are looking at here is the small group of scientists who have for years been more influential in driving the worldwide alarm over global warming than any others, not least through the role they play at the heart of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)…

…Back in 2006, when the eminent US statistician Professor Edward Wegman produced an expert report for the US Congress vindicating Steve McIntyre’s demolition of the “hockey stick”, he excoriated the way in which this same “tightly knit group” of academics seemed only too keen to collaborate with each other and to “peer review” each other’s papers in order to dominate the findings of those IPCC reports on which much of the future of the US and world economy may hang. In light of the latest revelations, it now seems even more evident that these men have been failing to uphold those principles which lie at the heart of genuine scientific enquiry and debate. Already one respected US climate scientist, Dr Eduardo Zorita, has called for Dr Mann and Dr Jones to be barred from any further participation in the IPCC. Even our own George Monbiot, horrified at finding how he has been betrayed by the supposed experts he has been revering and citing for so long, has called for Dr Jones to step down as head of the CRU.

The former Chancellor Lord (Nigel) Lawson, last week launching his new think tank, the Global Warming Policy Foundation, rightly called for a proper independent inquiry into the maze of skulduggery revealed by the CRU leaks. But the inquiry mooted on Friday, possibly to be chaired by Lord Rees, President of the Royal Society – itself long a shameless propagandist for the warmist cause – is far from being what Lord Lawson had in mind. Our hopelessly compromised scientific establishment cannot be allowed to get away with a whitewash of what has become the greatest scientific scandal of our age.

More… Global Warming scientists admitted to throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.

Tigerhawk has more on the dumped data.

    Call Charlie Gibson.
How much longer will the Palace Guard media in this country ignore the scandal? Once again this is another example of American media tanking a story that goes against their liberal ideology. It is a lie by omission.

So, now the people with the most to gain from global warming are going to be investigating themslves?? It’s insanity, and it has to stop. Isn’t there a Republican, or, *gasp* a bi-partisan congressional panel who can rip this open? If this travesty continues, we are going to be headed back to the dark ages. Seriously.
    Lord, hear our prayers.

It’s not about saving the planet. It’s about taking control of the economy and your lives.

Name one great advance in architecture, art, science, or agriculture that was achieved by central planners and collectivists.

The final outcome of the Obama/Axelrod/Pelosi/Reid agenda (statist collectivization) will be universal impoverishment.

American small businesses will be strangled by soaring state and federal taxes, particularly when cap and trade, and hell care deconstruction pass.

Small companies generate 70% of jobs. Want to stimulate the economy? Give tax cuts to small businesses. The current statist, top-down stimulus will not work largely bc its beneficiaries – destroy rather than create jobs – are big government and big unions.

The real perpetrators of the economic melt down are bad, wrong-headed institutions with way too much power (like the Fed, FNMA, Congress, etc.) not individuals or groups of individuals. Building the gov/unions up is the wrong move and will fail.

They’ll blame Bush when the unemployment and inflation rates hit 50% each.

Any climate related scientist not calling for a rigorous and objective investigation of this issue will show they have no credibility. These elite AGW promoters have been conducting Stalinized science and now that they have been exposed, they need to pay for their betrayal of science and of the world’s trust. It’s as simple as that.

Raw data is not that easily destroyed.

This is fraud on the order of the Bernie Madoff scandal. It would be worthwhile to do a proper forensic investigation of the successive files, and attempt recovery and reconstruction of the intermediate files.

Have them turn over every electronic file in their possession, including the copies stored at their homes, and every hard drive. Have them state, in writing, what they did to the data.

The radical environmenalists have shown that they can take over big science, big money and big politics. Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant, it is critical to all life on this planet. It is the only source of oxygen and food because it is a key component in photosynthesis which is the ultimate source of the oxygen you breath and the food you eat. Do you want Al Gore, George Soros, and big politicians in control of the oxygen you breath and food you eat? Your life is at stake..

Another case where weapons of mass destruction (in this case raw environmental data) are missing in action and in this case ‘the dog ate my homework’ excuse will not fly. I just can’t believe that Paul Krugman, that paragon of honesty, integrity and non partisanship could pooh pooh this scandal especially after his British, Australian and New Zealand colleagues are going gang blasters to sort out the scandal.
    /sarc.
However Krugman dismisses this scientific scandal, the fact that Stephie mentioned it on his show gives the potential to his viewership to google the climategate scandal and reach the truth denied to them by Stephie and his warming mongers.

This is what one of the great brains of our time Stephen Hawking said about global warming:

“The danger is that global warming may become self-sustaining, if it has not done so already. The melting of the Arctic and Antarctic ice caps reduces the fraction of solar energy reflected back into space, and so increases the temperature further. Climate change may kill off the Amazon and other rain forests, and so eliminate once one of the main ways in which carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere. The rise in sea temperature may trigger the release of large quantities of carbon dioxide, trapped as hydrides on the ocean floor. Both these phenomena would increase the greenhouse effect, and so global warming further. We have to reverse global warming urgently, if we still can.”

Now who are you going to believe? The paranoid conspiracy morons at Gateway Pundit, or one of the greatest scientists of all time?

If you are caught robbing a bank you will go to prison for 20 years. But what if the crime is sooooo big that it encompasses the whole world and trillions are involved–who will stand up for the people? The wagons have been circled and the only ones we can count on are the Dems in the Senate who have already shown us that Money Talks and Bullchit Walks.

It’s getting increasingly clearer that these are the people who have pushed to get Obama in the White House. This is why they fight the release of this Birth Certificate through George Soros, because this is all tied together. Seizing of Health Care, Cap and Trade, it is all about stealing money and control of America. The honest power in this country, needs to make this man show his eligibility, because I can guarantee he can’t produce it. He needs to be removed from office. Climate Change isn’t the only massive conspiracy, Obama’s presidency is also. This man is not legitimate, he is working for several that want to take this country over. Many in the so called Democratic party know this, including Pelosi, she is part of it. It will be up to the internet, and foreign press to bring out the truth, because the domestic press in print and on TV, know they go with him when it finally is exposed. They are invested up to their eyeballs. Right Charlie, Brian, Katie, you are serious traitors to this nation, and your own children. You can’t get much lower than them.

Once respected scientists go rogue and go for their 15 minutes in the spotlight, it is easy to get a consensus among folks using the tainted stats. Hawkings was more than likely one of these folks. I doubt that he took the time to check the details.

We are in deep trouble here in the US with no unbiased media to protect us from fiscal annihilation.

What a nice distraction for the liberal press to play up instead of reporting on the really huge news of this exposure of the GW scandal.

Something has really smelled about the party crashing. But how very convenient it’s been.

Stephen Hawking has also admitted he made mistakes. “Hawking’s statement on his new theory of Black Hole, which he delivered at the 17th International Conference on General Relativity and Gravitation in Dublin, Ireland on Wednesday the 21st July 2004 stunned the world when he admitted his mistake which he had been carrying for about 30 years..Hawking’s theory has been challenged by Dr. Raj Baldev and a legal notice to this effect has since been served upon him by Mr. C.L.Sahu, Advocate Supreme Court of India through British High Commission, New Delhi for having violated the copyright of Dr. Raj Baldev. Stephen Hawking has been called upon in the notice to clarify his position and tender an apology for having omitted the acknowledgment of the theory of Dr. Raj Baldev in his papers that he distributed in the 17th International Conference held in Dublin on 21st July, or face the damages of 500,000 US $.” http://www.physicsforums.com/archive/index.php/t-36928.html
“This controversy heated up last year when Stephen Hawking admitted that he had made a mistake 30 years ago in betting that black holes gobble up everything, including information. Perhaps the information is crushed forever by the black hole, or perhaps it passes into the parallel universe on the other side of the Kerr ring. Hawking’s latest thinking is that information is not totally lost. But no one believes that the final word on this delicate question has been spoken.” http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/univ

    Lorenzo,
Every point Hawking lists is wrong. His entire proposition of a carbon cascade is dependent on data that has been fabricated. That’s what’s so wonderful about this scandal, the WHOLE theory unravels because of one loose thread. You dopes are so bleary eyed from following along the zombie path, you can’t see the truck barreling towards you. And, there is no place in hell hot enough for you and like minded liars.
