More Hope and Change…
state dinner
The Obamas welcome guests to their first State Dinner last night.

The Obama White House invited convicted felon and HuffPo contributor Robert Creamer to the first State Dinner last night in Washington DC.
ABC7 reported in 2006 on his prison sentence:

The husband of an Illinois congresswoman was sentenced to five months in prison Wednesday. Robert Creamer is married to US Representative Jan Schakowsky. He was convicted on charges of writing bad checks and tax evasion.

This is a case that ends with both sides claiming to be disappointed with the sentence. Federal prosecutors wanted two-and-a-half to three years in prison for Creamer’s blatant violations of the law, even after a visit from the FBI. Creamer’s supporters wanted probation for a man who spent a lifetime fighting for social justice and broke the law so he could keep fighting for the causes he believed in.

“Of course I’m disappointed that the sentence imposed today includes a period of incarceration. But the judge is a fair and thoughtful man, and I accept his judgment,” said Creamer.

Creamer is also tied to ACORN out of Chicago.

Howerver, top Republicans did not make the list.
The Washington Times reported:

House Minority Leader John A. Boehner won’t be there; he’s on Thanksgiving break and home in Ohio. His deputy, Rep. Eric Cantor of Virginia, also didn’t get an invitation to the dinner.

The president didn’t invite his 2008 rival, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, even though Mr. Obama the candidate pledged a post-partisan presidency.

Hat Tip Joel P.

Of course, this surprises no one.

UPDATE: Reaganite Republican added this

Well, Rezko didn’t make the cut, neither did Blago… he’s got his standards, you know.
I think a dozen felonies is the limit- Rezko had 16.

UPDATE: Creamer worked on Obama’s campaign after he left jail.

From top to bottom, the Americans on the guest list looked like the names that will appear in “Culture of Corruption – Part Two”. Many of them already glorified in MM’s “part one”.

Ever wonder why NONE – not even one – of those folks hasn’t filed suit against Michelle Malkin?

Shocking, huh? Obama’s partisanship and lack of class show through again. Here’s to hoping more people that voted for this jerk see that not only is he grossly inexperienced to be the President but that all the reasons why they voted for him were complete fabrications.

I remember arguing with people during the campaign — people who were moderates or even conservative — who ended up voting for Obama that they were voting for a Left-winger who would increase the racial divisions in the country, push extreme Left-wing policies, and weaken the country in many ways, including economically. But they told me I was wrong, as Obama would govern from the middle, would help the country get beyond race, and would change the economy in a positive way for all of its citizens. Yeah, how’s that working for them? And it’s only been 10 months.

No, I wasn’t enthused to vote for McCain, but I knew the alternative — an inexperienced Left-wing punk from the corrupt Left-wing haven of Chicago who had virtually no training or education in business or economics — was far worse. I really wish I had been wrong.

Just Sayin’, the irony about this thread and your behavior in it is that you’re not bright enough to see how badly you’ve portrayed yourself and damaged your credibility (at least what little exists). You have actually been so personally offended by off-color rips on Obama’s wife — a woman who is not exactly known for saying nice or gracious comments about anyone but her husband — that you’ve responded with personal insults against others here. Nothing like exhibiting the same exact type of hateful behavior you’re accusing others of engaging in because, like a child, you can’t control your emotions.

You’ve only made matters worse by using insults one would expect from a 12-year-old. In addition to the requisite racist accusation that has become a pathetic crutch used by Obama’s defenders (are you sure no one you’re accusing of being racist is actually a member of minority group?), you’ve actually posted idiotic insults about the looks, sexual orientation, and cultural background of other commentators here when there is no way you can know whether your moronic insults are true or not. This type of sophomoric behavior doesn’t seem to be very consistent with the open-minded, intellectual image you and many of your fellow liberals like to (falsely) project to others, does it? I’m “shocked” by the hypocrisy….Yes, that was sarcastic.

You right-wingers don’t understand. It’s okay to break the laws if we’re campaigning for social justice. All the laws are evil and racist. Except the ones we social justicers write to impose on you. And also the ones we write when they constrain us, but we expect you to keep following them.

We know you’ll follow the laws because you are (racist, greedy, etc.) “law-and-order” troglodytes. We don’t have to follow the laws–yours or ours–because we’re progressive.

    Got it now?
