Someone commented elsewhere that this was like borrowing someone’s credit card, buying a car with it then giving that person the car for Christmas. Well, it’s more like taking that credit card and spending way, way over the credit limit then saying it’s their Christmas present. Pelosi, et al are:

Betsy — Yeah, but it’s even worse than that IIRC. If you refuse this Christmas present, you can be fined up to $250,000 and sentenced to five years in prison.
The saying is “Never ascribe to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.” I don’t believe anymore that stupidity adequately explains this bill.
