Another blow to Obama and the far left…
World leaders attending the APEC meeting in Singapore decided to scrap any agreement at next month’s global warming conference in Copenhagen.
The BBC reported:

World leaders meeting in Singapore have said it will not be possible to reach a climate change deal ahead of next month’s UN conference in Denmark.

After a two-day Asia-Pacific summit, they vowed to work towards an “ambitious outcome” in Copenhagen.

But the group dropped a target to halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, which was outlined in an earlier draft.

Leaders also vowed to pursue a new strategy for growth after the world’s worst economic crisis in decades.

They resolved to conclude the Doha round of global trade talks in 2010.

In a joint declaration issued at the end of their two-day annual summit, they said: “We firmly reject all forms of protectionism and reaffirm our commitment to keep markets open and refrain from raising new barriers to investment or to trade in goods and services.”

Greenies should sue Al Gore. He is the only one who got rich on this scam.

Why is this even being discussed. The GLOBE is not WARMING, ergo there is no Global Warming. Let’s discuss something relevant like MAGIC FLYING PINK UNICORNS.

    Sweet.

    Maybe reason will finally triumph.

My challenge for Al Gore still stands: prove that your global warming even exists. And then prove that our small amount of CO2 is causing it. Prove it!

Gus, that’s why they changed the name to “climate change.” The climate is always changing, ergo the envirowhackos can never be wrong in this regard.

Al Gore and Bernie Madoff have a lot in common. Here’s hoping Al follows Bernie’s end game.

The entire premise of man-made global warming is so preposterous it constantly amazes me that ANYONE believes it. It is the classic post-hoc argument.

“The earth is warmer and we are here therefore we made the earth warmer…”

Utterlying ignoring the fact that the earth has warmed and cooled countless times prior to our arrival. Both hotter and cooler than it is right now.

It also supposes (for some reason) that the temperature of earth around 1900 was somehow the PERFECT temperature for earth and any increase from that is catastrophic. Actually, the temperature of earth in 1900 was cool be historic standards as we were still arising from a “mini” ice age.

Man-made Global Warming is just another pretense for Socialistic Redistribution of Wealth – period.

Has there ever been a major scientific theory where the chief proponent of that theory REFUSES to publicly debate anyone on its merits because that same person (who is becoming vastly wealthy off this snake oil) has himself declared “the debate over”.

“I cannot debate you because the debate is over…” – Silliness. The scientific debate is NEVER over on ANYTHING.

I am so happy we elected Obama and gave Dems absolute power. This is the ONLY way the world was going to see what an absolute steaming pile their far left ideology is.

I doubt it, not when you have a nefarious agenda. They want to foist as much on as as possible while they can to undermine all that is good in this country.

I suspect many of them finally realized just how badly this was going to hurt their economies.

That, or they prefer to kick the can forward until there is another Republican in the White House to take the blame for all of this.

Libsabide, true, they can call it anything they want. It’s not about science it’s not about saving Mother Nature or Planet earth, it’s not about being “green” nor is about “protecting the environment”, it’s about money, power and control. LIBTARDS have concluded that they can sucker a large base of the population through propaganda and handouts.
I’ll give you a classic example of LIBTARDISM.
I live in Milwaukee. If I drive from the west side of town to the east side of town where Lake Michigan is, I either take the freeway or drive right through THE HOOD.
The hood votes 99.9999999% LIBTARD. But, the streets, sidewalks, yards and vacant properties are overflowing with empty bottles, cans, and fast food wrappers of any imaginable brand. They couldn’t give a flying fukk at a rolling donut about the environment. Yet they vote for the same NUTS that are going to everything they buy to the hilt for “environmental” reasons. The LIBTARD party has various constituencies and the BUY OFF each of them. LIBTARDS promise each of their disparate constituencies a piece of pie that you pay for. They have reached a critical mass that out numbers those of us who are law abiding, productive, over taxed and moral decent. I was once a Democrat, but I escaped.

On the Copenhagen Agenda, Reducing Deforestation May Still Succeed

    .

There is some hope that valuation will shift, as the world stumbles toward the U.N. climate change summit in Copenhagen next month. Negotiators are trying to include a system to protect forests — called Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD) — in the international treaty that is meant to be hammered out at the summit. Broadly speaking, REDD would allow countries to trade on the carbon value of their forests. If successful, it could be a relatively inexpensive way to quickly reduce deforestation, cut emissions and preserve the habitats of some of the most endangered species on the planet. “Forests are a part of the climate problem, so they need to be part of the solution,” says Kevin Conrad, the lead climate negotiator for Papua New Guinea and a major advocate of the REDD process.

never trust BO or the UN

FROM THE NYT http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/15/world/asia/15prexy.html?_r=2 “At a hastily arranged breakfast on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit meeting on Sunday morning, the leaders, including Lars Lokke Rasmussen, the prime minister of Denmark and the chairman of the climate conference, agreed that in order to salvage Copenhagen they would have to push a fully binding legal agreement down the road, possibly to a second summit meeting in Mexico City later on.” IMO there was NO ‘hastily arranged breakfast” …I call that a diversonary tactic as if BHO was just not READY….when we know he was. and yet, i pray this IS over.
