St. Louis blogger Adam Sharp films panelists (l-r) Dana Loesch, Jim Durbin and Michelle Moore at the Show-Me Institute’s Blogosphere Event today in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Show-Me Institute is hosting a blogosphere event on Nov. 21 for established bloggers, as well as new and prospective bloggers. There was training, panel discussions, and a panel presentation from the the Motorhome Diaries folks.

From the website: As more cuts are made at mainstream news media outlets, there are fewer reporters keeping tabs on what local and state government officials are doing. Increasingly, bloggers have stepped up to break stories, or call attention to issues that are being ignored. The Show-Me Institute is hosting its first blogosphere event to help train and support both Missouri bloggers who are working to help keep government transparent, and citizens who want to learn how.

Presenters include Saint Louis’ most prominent bloggers and social media practitioners, Saint Louis media, and an editor of the award-winning TexasWatchDog.org.

The conference was held today at the Sheraton Hotel in Clayton, Missouri.
Complimentary breakfast and box lunch were provided.

The goal of the Show-Me Institute’s blogosphere event is to empower any person interested in advancing government transparency through factual reporting. Please feel free to forward this invitation to others who may be interested in attending.

mo blogger 2
Trent Seibert from TexasWatchDog.org gave a talk on investigative journalism.

Couldn’t log on to your site for awhile. Bandwidth exceeded. Was worried you had been hi-jacked by lib loons.

I experienced same thing – #1 comment – from about 5:30amEST until about an hour ago. (From my time zone, it was overnight, so I assumed it was continuous.)

The only thing that will keep us free is good information.
And we cannot get that from the “main-stream media”. They all seem to be wholly-owned subsidiaries of obama, inc.

We need the information that comes from a free and unfettered “alternative” media on the internet, so that we can see and resist the encroachments on our freedom attempted by the cabal that now occupies the white house.
That, of course, is why the government is so desperate to institute controls and “regulation” on the internet.

It’s going to be a long, hard fight – even if it is for only three more years.

I’ve got to start paying attention to local events more. I’m fed up and will do anything and everything to see McCaskill thrown out of office in 2012. Enough is enough.

The patience for the teenage behavior in DC is over. They need to clean up now. This will not end well for them.

The Army of Davids is smart, resourceful and everywhere.

Thanks for posting this event. I had a wonderful time and was happy to meet you in person. The funniest part of the day was when, as a reporter from the Post-Dispatch was sitting next to you, you were equating the MSM with the alcoholic who loses everything and yet won’t admit there’s a problem! The MSM is, indeed, in denial.

Everybody be sure to attend the Tea Party this Saturday in Kiener Plaza (St. Louis)! Grrrrrr!!!

Wonderful! People are getting bored with the abuses of big government and starting to say they’ll work to change it to….what? When are conservatives going to perch on some policies and start batting the stuffing out of them until they’re crystal clear and sharp? Federal funds: acceptance requires adherence to the Freedom of Information Act. Would ACORN like that? No. Federal entitlements (ie. income redistributions): acceptance of grants, loans, welfare, afdc, food stamps..etc…generates an IRS Form 1099-GOV! You pay a penalty for failing to file and those that receive your money don’t. What gives?
