Recently “discovered” classified emails and files prove that the junk scientists behind the global warming movement knowingly perpetrated a fraud on the global community.
The files were posted on the internet– HERE.
The Telegraph reported:
If you own any shares in alternative energy companies I should start dumping them NOW. The conspiracy behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming myth (aka AGW; aka ManBearPig) has been suddenly, brutally and quite deliciously exposed after a hacker broke into the computers at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (aka Hadley CRU) and released 61 megabites of confidential files onto the internet. (Hat tip: Watts Up With That)
When you read some of those files – including 1079 emails and 72 documents – you realise just why the boffins at Hadley CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”. These alleged emails – supposedly exchanged by some of the most prominent scientists pushing AGW theory – suggest:
Conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organised resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more.
One of the alleged emails has a gentle gloat over the death in 2004 of John L Daly (one of the first climate change sceptics, founder of the Still Waiting For Greenhouse site), commenting:
“In an odd way this is cheering news.”
But perhaps the most damaging revelations – the scientific equivalent of the Telegraph’s MPs’ expenses scandal – are those concerning the way Warmist scientists may variously have manipulated or suppressed evidence in order to support their cause.
Here are a few tasters. (So far, we can only refer to them as alleged emails because – though Hadley CRU’s director Phil Jones has confirmed the break-in to Ian Wishart at the Briefing Room – he has yet to fess up to any specific contents.)

Andrew Bolt is following the story… “So the 1079 emails and 72 documents seem indeed evidence of a scandal involving most of the most prominent scientists pushing the man-made warming theory – a scandal that is one of the greatest in modern science.”
And this… “This is clearly not the work of some hacker, but of an insider who’s now blown the whistle.”

One of the junk science perpetrators speaks out:
Professor Michael Mann, director of Pennsylvania State University’s Earth System Science Centre and a regular contributor to the popular climate science blog Real Climate, features in many of the email exchanges. He said: “I’m simply not going to comment on the content of illegally obtained emails. However, I will say this: both their theft and, I believe, any reproduction of the emails that were obtained on public websites, etc, constitutes serious criminal activity. I’m hoping that the perpetrators and their facilitators will be tracked down and prosecuted to the fullest extent the law allows.”

We knew, via M&M and Climate Audit, that fraud was being comitted but lacked proof. The emails are supplying the proof.
Whether this will produce litigation on behalf of the taxpayer here may be doubted, but Britain is another question.

BUT WAIT…..yes, this is great to have this damming evidence but the Left won’t change their mind even with facts. The more interesting question is ‘who is the hacker’ and ‘why is this dumped on Friday the day before the National Health Care depate/vote in Washington’?????
We have heard that the Western goverments are now admitting they will ‘putoff’ some of the Coppenhagen agreements and decisions for another year…..why? WHYWHYWHY? Why would Obama suddenly disengage on the Global Summit when he has all of the planets alined?
Could it be that this National Health Care will drag net ALL of it? We are already hearing they will rule on anything that is a ‘public health’ issue, i.e. we are already hearing they will drag guns in as a ‘public health’ issue…so why not Junk Science? Why not Man Made Global Warming?
Everytime this Administration has a MAJOR vote in Washington, some major event or breaking news takes place and moves the media, the public and all eyes away from Washington, only for us to wake up the next day and find out something else passed….and then the Administration goes into denial/covering/and hiding of what ever the ‘distraction/breaking news’ was.
Although this junk science revelation is great to hear, is this ANOTHER DISTRACTION? Remember the vote tomorrow is more important than this news today, this news will be hear next week too.

Whether or not the whistleblower is discovered and prosecuted, Mann’s own problems remain. He has repeatedly been shown to be a poor scientist, and now it looks as if he conspired with his pals to perpetrate a massive fraud.
Have any of the scientific journals who published Mann, Briffa, Schneider, Jones, et cetera released statements? Their own credibility is now at stake.

I see no reason whatever to suppose this is anything other than an associate of Jones & Briffa who detests their duplicity and avarice.
The files suggest root access. McIntyre in recent months discovered Briffa had cherry-picked trees sampled as data from the Yamal peninsula, used in a number of studies.
The tar pot was hot and the stench sickening. Why take a fall with these ‘pillars’ of government-sponsored fraud. The mood in Britain is ugly re: climate change mitigation well in advance of our own.

This is definitely an interesting turn of events. It will be very difficult for the AGW crowd to spin this. I suspect Congressional Republicans will now press hard for an independent prosecutor to chase this down. If they do, and an investigation reveals deliberate fraud in the AGW science community, taxpayer funds will have been procured and spent under fraudulent representations. You can be sure that democrats will be happy to express appropriate outrage and disappointment and then happily toss the AGWers under DC’s Metrobuses to save their own political hides. The perps will have to do some hard time.

After their criminal dishonesty and corruption is exposed, their first reaction is not to defend their actions, but to lash out at those who made the discovery in a pathetic attempt to divert attention from their own disgusting behavior. So Dr Mann responds to the scandal by issuing a statement condemning the hackers who discovered his scam, just as ACORN’s reaction to the pimp tapes was to threaten to sue those who were responsible for exposing them. It’s as if they really believe that the public, upon hearing about this, will think “oh those dishonest hackers, I hope they go to jail for stealing those emails which exposed the world’s biggest and most economically destructive scientific hoax in history.”

I have grown up with half of my life outside, either working or recreation. There have been warm years, as well as cold years. We could not cause warming or cooling if we wanted. The only distinction is that it is warmer in the cities because of being paved over, and the heating of homes were the population is located. Even there, it is small. And all the nuclear testing countries have done, we haven’t changed things, but my pickup is going to cause 25 Katrina hurricanes a year? My mind isn’t that small to be indoctinated by the Global Warming cult following! By the way, the ski-lifts
here are opening earlier than ever before!
