RNC Chair Michael Steele told reporters today that American voters said “no” to Obama last night.
FOX News reported:
Republican leaders have quickly sought to cast their gubernatorial victories in New Jersey and Virginia as the beginning of a resurgence for their party and a sign of trouble for President Obama while the White House argues that the results are not about the president.
Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele said Wednesday that Republican victories in the governors’ races demonstrated “a transcendent party” that was on the move again and credited an electorate increasingly fed up with Obama’s policies.
“The Republican renaissance has begun. It has begun in earnest, in which we put our faith in the hopes and dreams of the American people to rebuild our economy from the bottom up, not the big deficit spending plans and policies of the politicians in Washington or our state capitals,” he said.

Steele misses the big picture here. This is an anti-big government, anti-status quo movement. RINOs, beware.

Gingrich’s support for that RINO woman in NY-23 cost the GOP and America a bigger NO to 0bama. gosh, I hate RINOs.

Was this before or after he threw Palin and Pawlenty under the bus over NY 23? Steele is on borrowed time as GOP head. One more ScuzzyFuzzy candidate he gets behind will be the last one. Instead of a big tent he might ought to listen to his base before he becomes unemployed. Palin would be five times better than he in that job.

I don’t think Steele is missing the big picture, I think he’s ignoring it.
But none the less, I agree- RINO’S beware.

And the 46% vote for Hoffman was a ‘Hell NO’ to the RNC for supporting RINO’s.
Michael Steele needs to admit the RNC lost the NY-23 election, and the RNC will still not see my money until they start supporting conservatives.
The RNC is no more rightous in the next campaign than Obama.

my comments (#63 & 64) in a previous post:
listening to Michael Steele..
sorry to report folks, but the GOP/RNC
/whatever still doesn’t “get it”, *sigh*
(didn’t mention the word “conservative” once, yet the majority of
Reps that won all over this nation last night were “conservatives”)
someone is asking about “conservatives” & NY-23.. good for him!!
don’t like his answer, he is pitting ‘republicans” against “conservatives”..
he can’t tell one way or another if Scozzafava
would have won yada, yada, yada.. pray for US..
he’s all about what they spent & winning..
sad, very sad..

If you google Michael Robert “Mike” McNulty, you see he was a Democrat in the 23rd district recently – the one that everyone in the media, mostly the Democrats insist has been held by a Republican since the Civil War.

“The Republican renaissance has begun. It has begun in earnest, in…”
Premature.
Keep on running RINOs, and that renaissance will sputter to a halt, because I’ll be damned if I’m going to cast a vote for another RINO, and there’s likely to be a lot of people that feel the same way.

Let’s see, now.
The “official” republicans spent a million dollars on a RINO candidate who was more liberal than the democrat…and a turncoat besides.
Now, they’re asking me for money, presumably to make up for their bad investment?
I think not.

The Republicans should get the equivalent of Howard Dean to run their party. He’s very effective for the Dems.
I am a conservative. No longer will I channel any of my hard earned dough through the RINO machine. It’s direct donations for me, just like those busboys in Chinatown.

my apologies..
i must have missed the very beginning of his
speech, he did start off with “conservative”..
but he went a bit down hill after that, ie:
he didn’t stick up for Hoffman, that
was a huge missed opportunity imo..
(sounded a lot better the second
time i listened w/o distractions..)
No to RINO’s
Yes to Term Limits!!

I live in New Jersey and was happy to vote for Chris Christie. My vote was also a vote against obama and all his crappy policies. In NJ, the GOP was really on their game. The week before the election, I received many calls from the GOp reminding me to vote. I think on election day, I received about 3 or 4 calls, one at 7:30 PM telling me the elction was close and again reminding me to vote. It was like that in 2004. It was not like that in 2006 or 2008. I hope this energy and intensity of the GOP continues.

Note to RNC chair Michael Steele,
We have also said “No” to RINOs, get the picture! You had better pay close attention to NY-23 as many, many, many, many people have HAD it with RINOs. No more $ to RNC, RNCC or any other organized group that funds RINOs. Give directly to conservative Republicans to take this party back. Get the picture, Mr. Steele?
