Thousands Are Expected Today at the ‘Kill the Bill’ Protest in Washington DC–
Please– Arrive Early. There are reports that Speaker Pelosi is going to force protesters to park a distance from the Capital for the rally.

Rep. Michele Bachmann and Erick Erickson from RedState held a blogger conference call on Wednesday night before the massive rally that will take place on the Capital Steps today.

Michele Bachmann said now is the time to kill this monstrosity.

Reportedly– 10 buses left New Jersey yesterday.
Several more busses left from parts of Virginia.
A caravan of cars from Atlanta were already on the road yesterday.
One caravan of cars left St. Louis for the 12 hour drive yesterday at 5 AM.
Another caravan of cars left St. Louis at 9 AM.

Congressional House Call Day:
Here are the details:

When: Thursday, Nov. 5, Noon

What: Congressional “House Calls” to House and Senate district offices (or join Rep. Bachmann on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in D.C.)

What to do: Gather with friends outside the district office at noon; ask to speak with a staff member. Explain your concerns about the health care proposals under consideration and deliver your letters, stories, petitions, etc.

What to bring: Bring your sign, your personal story of why you don’t want a Washington takeover of health care, and a hand-written letter for your member of Congress. Patients First, a project of AFP, will have an “Rx for Real Reform” prescription available for download from our Web sites, www.JoinPatientsFirst.com and www.americansforprosperity.org.

Brenda sent this from the patriots who left St. Louis yesterday morning:

Hi Jim,
I finally talked to Sandra Davidson tonight on my way home from work. (I couldn’t reach her this morning, on my way in, or at noon). When I finally got her (about 5:15pm) they had stopped at a Burger King in West Virginia for dinner, and expected to arrive at their hotel in a couple more hours. They had 5 vehicles caravanning together…two more left later from Lake St. Louis…and two or three vehicles went on ahead and will meet them at the hotel.

They have a group of about 50 people from STL area…have appointments to meet with 6 Missouri Congressional leaders: Rep. Todd Akin, Sen. Chris Bond, Sen. Claire McCaskill, Rep. Russ Carnahan, Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer and Rep. Jo Ann Emerson.

Sandra said, “This is not a vacation. Tomorrow is a work day. We are here to work to save our nation. I expect everyone here to work!”

She intends for her group to convey to all Congressional leaders that we expect our elected officials to listen to us. The People have spoken loud and clear in the past 8 months, and we DO NOT want govt. control of our lives. We do NOT want govt. health control. And “if anyone is not with us, they’re against us”! In other words…if a Congressional leader does not meet The People and Michelle Bachman on the steps of the Capitol Building in Washington DC tomorrow…and does not meet with them during the time they have their appointments…then they are NOT supporting us – The People – and WE WILL VOTE THEM OUT!

One of her group has agreed to email pictures as they go along. I haven’t received anything yet (should have asked her to send a group pic from Burger King! But didn’t think of it! :) But I’ll forward as soon as I get some. I also asked them to include a blurb about what was going on, when they send pics, and she said they would. They are anxious to get all the support that they can…and to get the word out on the internet as much as possible! So they’re very glad you inquired…and will be more than happy to comply, to get the word out and garner as much support as we possibly can to defeat this Govt Health Control bill, and stop the socialism agenda in Congress and the White House!

I’ll keep you posted!
Brenda

If Congress is going to dig in their heels to make the rest of us uncomfortable, then it’s time we made them uncomfortable too.

    Give ‘em hell.

And there are a minimum of 5 buses, and many more patriots riding to DC on Amtrak from this area- Southeastern PA, outside of Philadelphia.
I wish I could have gone, but I support them all! And I dare Congress not to listen, I dare Pelosi to try to stop the movement.
Because next time, all of those who could not get away from work at such short notice, will find a way and be there to encourage the right thing!

This too will be ignored to whatever extent the state media is able. They will be around with their little stenographers and their cameras, but only to look for the occasional nut case (plant) that they can showcase as representative of the extremists who would think (dare?) to protest this wonderful health care bill. Is there a Chicago Bulls game on this afternoon?

Love to be there, but cannot. Michele Bachmann is number one in my book. The problem is getting a member of congress to listen to their constituents is almost impossible. If they listened it would not be necessary to hold the rally today.

I last heard that at least 4 buses left MN early Wednesday morning. They won’t stay in a hotel, but rather, for the sake of this mission, they will live out of that bus until they arrive back home from D.C. late Friday night. How excellent.

I couldn’t go on those buses, but I composed my own one-page letter and faxed it today to all of our senators and representatives from MN. If you can’t be there, make your voice heard in some way. In such a simple act, you will still feel and know that you are supporting our fellow patriots who made the trek on behalf of our nation.

    Send them all your prayers.

My wife and I crowded into Congressman Minnicks office this morning with about 40 other folk. The staff got the Congressman on the speaker phone where he took questions. To cut to the bottom line, he said he would NOT vote for the Pelosi plan and would not support any public plan currently being discussed. As he voted against Cap and Tax, the Omnibus Pork bill and the Stimulus, I have confidence he will keep his word. That is one less Blue Dog to worry about.

I had to leave about 12:45 to hike the 15 minutes back to my car. I’m no crowd estimator, but I’d say 3-5K. Filled up the front terrace without quite getting down to the first circle road. People were still coming in as I was leaving because of the parking.

It was great to join in the “Kill The Bill” chant.

We have a great lady in Michele Bachmann… and this was a fine plan. Maybe I’m going a little crazy, but does anyone else see a problem with a sudden “action” going on in Texas that takes all the attention from what is happening in Washington? The progressives do believe that the “end justifies the means” – and I just don’t believe the timing of the shooters in Texas vs. the attempt of citizens to take back their country in Washington. Nonetheless, I’m locked and loaded – count me in when we storm Ms. P and her cretins.

Now each one of these congressmen has health insurance provided by the government, but they don’t want anybody else to have health insurance provided by the government.

I think the right thing to do would be to lead by example. Let Bachmann and the rest of them surrender their government health insurance and go and buy their own on the open market.

    The hypocrisy is stunning.
