Here’s more of that smart power we were promised this year…
Hillary Clinton promoted abortion during her stopover in the Catholic Philippines.
Catholic Culture Organization reported:

“We certainly do not have any intention or plan to preempt or otherwise go beyond or around what the attitudes of society are,” she told reporters. Nonetheless, Clinton also said, “I think empowering women to be able to make choices that are in the best interest of the children they already have, and the family size that they desire– it increases education outcome, it increases income generation, it provides a much stronger basis for human development.”

“Trying to empower and educate women so that they are able to make these decisions and they have access to family planning is not only positive to the woman and her family but for the larger society,” Clinton added.

This has to be one of the dumbest moves this administration has made thus far…I am sure there is more to come from this bunch of pikers.

    Oh yes…..”the larger society”.

Hitlery’s ‘village’, the collective, the pride and joy of the Progressives, one world governance.

Does’nt it just give you a warm and fuzzy feeling?

“not only positive to the woman and her family but for the larger society”

Positive for everyone except the fetus.

“the family size that they desire”??

    “Family planning”??

It’s called birth control, condoms, or if you’re done having kids, getting your tubes tied!

Abortion is not “family planning”. What it is, is not taking responsibility for your actions and dealing with the consequences! Sheesh.

Clinton and Obama should shut up and mind their own damned business. Are they using our money in aborting asian babies?

As radical a right-wing conservative extremist I am, I have to admit I would rather have had the first woman be president before the first black man. I would trade 19 McCains for one Hillary if we could take away Obama right now.

This time I have to defend Hillary and agree with the commenter “Logan” above. Family planning is not abortion, it’s birth control and everything else Logan listed, so let’s be fair and cut her some slack.

    Talk about cultural sensitivity…

Listen, Southern, Hill was doing Rules for Radicals before Barry. She’s just as much influenced by Soros as he is. Open the other eyelid.

Get this right: ‘Family planning’ is left-speak for abortion.
Hitlery gets no slack. If she had her way, you’d be wearing red & yellow panties.

Sure, kill your own flesh and blood in your womb – it feels great, and you’ll be helping society, although, you may feel a tinge of guilt and remorse afterwards, which will cause you to hate all those who oppose abortion, but hey, it is a healthy hate.

Consequences???? When did our society devolve to the point that we consider our children a punishment for a healthy, loving relationship with our spouse? If I’m married, I shouldn’t have to “worry” about getting pregnant. I should be able to enjoy an intimate physical relationship with my husband and celebrate if we have any children as a result. The obsession with “family planning” is the same mindset that allows abortion as a means of birth control. And yes, it is an obsession. When I became pregnant with number 3, one past the acceptable 2 kids, people started saying things like “Gee, haven’t you learned how that happens?” and “Maybe you two need a TV in your room.” I was actually embarassed to tell people when I became pregnant with #4. That’s not how it should be.

People get pregnant on the pill or while using condoms, and even after tubal ligations and having vasectomies. What do you tell them? Is an abortion okay if they followed the rules? Do they just suck it up and suffer? Or do we show them compassion and support in an effort to ensure things work out for the best?

“Family Planning” includes abortion — just note the number one service the benign-sounding “Planned Parenthood” offers.
“Family Planning” in Third World countries is a fast track to seriously alienate the people, who become immediately suspicious of the “Family Planning” advocate’s real agenda.

The biggest impediment to distribution of foreign food aid and foreign vaccination programs is scary rumors that the stuff has “Family Planning ” in it so people can’t have kids. We’re not speaking from hearsay, we ran into this problem constantly in food aid, nutrition and maternal-child health work in AFrica and India (to reinforce it isn’t isolated to one type of people or culture).

In the Third World, children are WEALTH. It USED to be the same in America, not so long ago, but the Regressive-Progressive Left has taken care of THAT notion. Children are burdens which reduce the size TV we can buy, the fancy car we want, and the array of Caribbean vacations we can afford.

So, Hillary’s priorities are not the usual US interests of trade and security, but an interest in reducing the number of Philippinos. How can THAT be construed as an act of friendship or of ALLIES?
Think that no one out there hears the Leftist rhetoric of “too many people” and “too many poor people?” Damn straight they do and they dont’ like it, and who can blame them? They’ve got kids, they need SCHOOLS and they’re being told, “No WE THINK you need birth control and abortions.” Condescending, racist, disrespectaful … dispicable.

A couple months ago, Hillary told India her interests were in shutting their economy down, for the “sake of the planet.”

All the Left talked about was “damaging America’s image abroad” for 8 years, but THIS sort of thing is the diplomatic equivalent to a wrecking ball to trust and cooperation.

Oh, and as for the feminist-speak of “empowering women,” in the Third World, a woman’s old age security is a whole bunch of dutiful adult chidlren who will feed and care for her. The Third World “social security.”
“Empowering women” today to reduce her offspring means fewer adults to pitch in to care for her later.
    “Smart power!”

Maybe Hillary goes to the same Catholic church that Pelosi goes to. The one in SF that has not decided that abortion is a bad thing.

So, “human development” will be better with fewer humans? I sometimes think Hillary would be better than Obie, but then, I see this stuff. Don’t forget she wondered who painted the image of Our Lady on Juan Diego’s cloak.

How many abortions has Hillary had?
She supports sucking the life out of a woman’s womb. Choice? What choice? Choice to kill growing babies? People like this haven’t a clear thought in their head. They just parrot the same old meme over and over and think it’s the way it should be. Choice to kill. I guess that’s what it means. Does Hillary believe in the 10 commandments or does she think they are so yesterday. Hillary, ahem, thou shalt not kill so tell them to close their f’in legs instead. Got it? No I’m not a Hillary hater just can’t get with her plan nor do I agree. Her husband sold this country out to the Chinese. See, all the jobs are gone thanks to him. Check out the sunday news…no jobs to be had when there once were pages and pages of jobs..I think I’ll call her bubblehead because she lives in a bubble and thinks we are the stupid ones. And some people actually believe her?

” ‘We certainly do not have any intention or plan to preempt or otherwise go beyond or around what the attitudes of society are.’ ”

Yes, you do. Otherwise, you would leave it up to the voters in the individual states to determine whether abortion is legal.

I pray the Pope will present himself on the world-wide stage to pray God forgive the Pope and his Catholic Church for funding ACORN abortion; the Catholic Church funding abortion is more evil than the pedophile problem.

If her speech to Planned Parenthood back in March is any indication, the Secretary of State is likely referring to abortion (in part). Clinton said then that because of President Obama’s repeal of the Mexico City policy, “nongovernmental organizations overseas can once again use U.S. funding to provide the full range of family planning services so that women and their families can get access to the healthcare that they need.” This “full range” of course includes abortion, because it is precisely abortion for which federal funding had been withheld under the Mexico City policy.

Just before, in that same speech, Clinton said that “reproductive rights and the umbrella issue of women’s rights and empowerment will be a key to the foreign policy of this Administration.” So, there is even more reason to think that she now is referring to abortion (in part) when she refers to “empowering women to be able to make choices” and “[t]rying to empower and educate women so that they are able to make these decisions and they have access to family planning.”

Me and my wife will be raising the number of half-filipinos sometime in the future. Hope it doesn’t bother the left too much. After all, it’s our bodies and our choice to do so. :p

About this, cultural sensitivity? Of course it isn’t. It’s just leftist arrogance of knowing what is better for everyone else. The smartest thing any leftist could do at this point would be to shut up so nobody would know how stupid they are.
