It’s easier to reject Climategate when you sit on the board of a major carbon offset company…
Barack Obama’s radical socialist climate czar Carol Browner on Wednesday rejected claims that e-mails stolen from a British university show climate scientists trumped up global warming numbers, saying she considers the science settled.

In January Barack Obama picked Carol Browner, a radical socialist, as his climate czar. Browner belongs to organizations that called for “global governance” and demanded that rich countries shrink their economies to address climate change.

Since her pick, Mrs. Browner’s name and biography had been removed from these socialist websites.

It was later discovered that this same radical eco-socialist is or was a board member of one of the leading carbon offset trading companies, APX.
William Teach passed on that Carol is a board member of a leading carbon offset trading company.

Mrs. Browner joined the board in March of 2008:

Carol Browner Joins APX’s Board of Directors

Santa Clara, CA – March 10, 2008 – APX, Inc., the leading infrastructure provider for environmental and energy markets, announced today that Carol Browner, former Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, has joined its Board of Directors. Ms. Browner, who has a distinguished career in public service, brings to APX’s Board deep expertise in environmental policy, including climate change issues.

She is currently a Principal of The Albright Group LLC, a global strategy firm that she co-founded with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and a team of international negotiators and seasoned diplomats. The firm provides strategic counsel to clients around the world. She is also a Principal of Albright Capital Management LLC, an investment advisory firm.

Commenting on Ms. Browner’s election to the Board, Brian Storms, APX’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said: “Carol is one of the world’s foremost environmental policy experts and we are honored that she is joining our Board of Directors. APX’s ability to attract such well-respected leaders as Carol to our Board underscores the trusted position we have established in supporting the rapidly developing environmental commodities markets. Her extensive experience and global perspective will be a tremendous asset to APX as we look to enhance our position as the leading environmental market infrastructure provider.”

Said Ms. Browner: “The explosive growth in environmental commodities trading will result in a greater need for market oversight. APX’s cutting-edge technology provides integrity and transparency, which are essential to the efficient and effective operations of these markets. APX is a world-class environmental infrastructure company with a long history of public private partnership, and I look forward to helping them capitalize on the full potential of these markets.”

…Of course you do.
It is not clear if Browner is still a member of the APX Board or not.

Related… It looks like global warming has been rigged from the start.

Dear dear, Why on earth would a TRANSPARENT administration have webs sites scrubbed of Ms Greener’s bio? Seems they are hiding something and dimwit big ears Opie Obama certainly wouldn’t do that.
    I mean, he’s honest. Right?

    Hi Jim;

We need to get someone to do an FOIA request on Browner and Holdren (and other administration and IPCC officials as applicable/possible) and see if the Climategate people have been in touch with them re: Climategate and how to “contain it”.

IF she is, it has to be a blatant conflict of interest. How can she continue to govern, er, rule? For that matter, why has no one called Algore out on the “revolving door” of public to private sleaze he is currently profiting from? I guess these rules only apply to Republicans. Also, where are all the trolls on climategate?
    Just wondering…

When real science is done the work is laid out for the all world to inspect and dissect. To obtain the degree, one has to be able to defend one’s doctoral dissertation. Not so with the AGW crowd. The science is settled! The world’s leading climatologists have reached a consensus! Carbon is EVIL! What a crock of s**t!

The Al Gore – Soviet connection was the first red flag (ugh – fittingly). He was noticeably the only Westerner who was upset the Soviet Union collapsed – one wonders if it was because he lost all his reliable connections (daddy Al Gore, Sr and his buddy “even my names screams what I am” Armand Hammer). Mr. “98% of the vote during Soviet control and 3% of the vote in an actual FREE election” EX-Soviet President Gorby declared later that the environmental movement was the last great hope of communism and was then seen prominently “transformed” as Mr. GREEN. Not transformed, just disguised. AL Gore “leaves” politics and reinvents hmself as “GREEN.”
Van Jones rhetoric of “GREEN” tied it to “Socialism.” Silly amateur. “GREEN” is the new “RED.”

The Soviets were a political philosophy based on lies, one after another, an entire world view of falsifications. Global cooling, then global warming, now the uber malleable “climate change.” Bet this generation of liars regrets their shift off their phony global cooling (ice age!) – abandoned it too soon – too clever by half.
But what they’ve done to degrade SCIENCE, and science EDUCATION and logical thinking in this country and worldwide is horrible – we’ll be paying in degraded advancement, wasted money and lack of discipline and rigor in all fields of tech, medicine, all branches of experimental and practical applications for a long time. It was the Soviets who promoted Lysenko and his junk science, “agro-biology” over the heads of real scientists, ruining not only Soviet agricultural production for decades, but the lives and careers of scientists who disputed his results.
This is “Neo-Lysenkoism” promoted by the SAME SOVIET communist roots ideology that gave power to the grasping Lysenko, a political animal who pushed junk science to give the Party bosses what they wanted to hear, while intimidating, threatening and otherwise undermining legitimate scientists, at least one of whom was actually sent to, and died in the Gulag.
See how scientific “global warming skeptics” have been treated? Reputations undermined, jobs lost … it has never been about the “planet” but about POWER.

Moving the goalposts onto another field

The new reason for cutting carbon dioxide is
“ … slashing carbon dioxide emissions also could save millions of lives, mostly by reducing preventable deaths from heart and lung diseases, according to studies published this week in the British medical journal The Lancet.

The frauds at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit have just been thrown under the bus by the MSM while the term “moving the goalpost” has taken on an entirely new meaning.

When the goal is government control of the economy and the tool for this control is carbon dioxide emissions, the reasons can morph in ways that make “Transformers” envious. The move from the term “global warming” to “climate change” (which covers anything having to do with climate) has now been superseded by “death prevention.”

The goalposts have been taken from the football field and planted on the baseball diamond.

    It’s literally breathtaking.

In one dazzling display of media dexterity, Hebert does a journalistic “triple axel:” Obama remains the hope of mankind, CO2 remains the villain, and the climate change hoaxers are relegated to the dustbin of history.

Jim, I would be willing to participate in a movement to sent letters, respectful, but a “you’ve been naughty” (as in Christmas who’s been naughty or nice). I’d make it a short letter. Don’t want to spend too much time on it as most will never be read I’m sure.

It would be fun to know that a flurry (pun intended) of letters would be filling their mailboxes.

And it could be an ongoing program that starts with a set of recipients and then updated as new subjects are added in.

Truth and Integrity are taking a beating these days, manipulation of critical data that could result in game changing, life altering decisions not in only in America, but, throughout the World, should be investigated immediately and with extreme prejudice. By failing to do so, only one conclusion should come to mind, there is an effort by persons, known and unknown, to radically alter the dynamic between citizen and government.

re: Most brazen “doth protest too much” defence:

[..] no mention of George Soros nefariously funding climate research [..]

    flashback to 07:

Soros, Kerry, Hansen, NASA, and Climate Change

[Turns out he was right. Science was being politicized. By him.

A report revealed just this week, shows the ‘Open Society Institute’ funded Hansen to the tune of $720,000, carefully orchestrating his entire media campaign. OSI, a political group which spent $74 million in 2006 to “shape public policy,” is funded by billionaire George Soros, the largest backer of Kerry’s 2004 Presidential Campaign. Soros, who once declared that “removing Bush from office was the ”central focus" of his life, has also given tens of millions of dollars to MoveOn.Org and other political action groups.

Certainly Soros has a right to spend his own money. But NASA officials have a responsibility to accurate, unbiased, nonpartisan science. For Hansen to secretly receive a large check from Soros, then begin making unsubstantiated claims about administrative influence on climate science is more than suspicious — it’s a clear conflict of interest.]
