He was screaming “Allahu Akbar” as he shot her dead.
She had just finished a tour in Iraq.
francheska
Francheska Velez, 21, of Humboldt Park was three months pregnant when she was killed in the Fort Hood shootings, relatives said. (Sun Times)

One of the dead soldiers in Thursday’s slaughter was pregnant soldier Francheska Velez.
The New York Daily News reported:

A fresh tragedy added to the horror of the Fort Hood massacre Friday when it was revealed that one of the victims was a pregnant soldier.

Francheska Velez, who returned to the U.S. just three days earlier from a foreign posting, was filling out paperwork when a gunman hollered “Allahu Akbar!” and embarked on a bloody rampage that left her and a dozen others dead.

A 21-year-old Chicagoan, Velez was six-weeks pregnant when she was cut down on Thursday, FOX Chicago News reported.

Velez was a sitting duck when the accused gunman, Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, yelled “God is great” in Arabic and opened fire with the two guns he’d smuggled into an intake center, Col. John Rossi said at a post-massacre briefing.

Well who would have guessed this?
Nidal Hassan sat on Obama’s national security panel last year.
Gawker dug up this document:
obama task force

More… Power and Control has more details on Hasan’s radical imam.
Thanks Andrew!

UPDATE: Glenn Reynolds thinks that saying Hasan sat on the Obama security panel is a bit of a stretch.

No, he was not yelling “God is Great” in Arabic. He was yelling “Allah is Great” in Arabic.

That is a perfect example of why the west is nearly fully decieved. “Allah” is a proper name, one belonging to the false god of death, deceit, and destruction, and we’ve been told by all the great ordained Tellers-of-things that “Allah” correctly translated into English is “God”, and indeed, is the SAME GOD the Christians and Jews worship.

A hundred years of lies from all directions, combined with the mass-abandonment of God’s Word by America’s citizenry — it’s a sad thing to behold, but it’s NO PUZZLE.

my sincere sympathy to hers & all the other

    Military jihadists fill ‘every branch’

imho, the arbitrary appeasing of Isamists in
this country should not be allowed to stand..

THEY ARE THE ENEMY, THEY’VE CLEARLY &
    REPETITIVELY DECLARED THEMSELVES AS
BEING SUCH TOO MANY TIMES TO COUNT..

EARTH TO AMERICA, THE JIHAD IS IN YOUR BACK YARD!!

    Springtime in Islamberg

[Islamberg is a branch of Muslims of the Americas Inc., a tax-exempt organization formed in 1980 by Pakistani cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, who refers to himself as "the sixth Sultan Ul Faqr," Gilani, has been directly linked by court documents to Jamaat ul-Fuqra or "community of the impoverished," an organization that seeks to "purify" Islam through violence.

Though primarily based in Lahore, Pakistan, Jamaat ul-Fuqra has operational headquarters in New York and openly recruits through various social service organizations in the U.S., including the prison system. Members live in hamaats or compounds, such as Islamberg, where they agree to abide by the laws of Jamaat ul-Fuqra, which are considered to be above local, state and federal authority. Additional hamaats have been established in Hyattsville, Maryland; Red House, Virginia; Falls Church, Virginia; Macon, Georgia; York, South Carolina; Dover, Tennessee; Buena Vista, Colorado; Talihina, Oklahoma; Tulane Country, California; Commerce, California; and Onalaska, Washington. Others are being built, including an expansive facility in Sherman, Pennsylvania.

Before becoming a citizen of Islamberg or any of the other Fuqra compounds, the recruits - - primarily inner city black men who became converts in prison - - are compelled to sign an oath that reads: "I shall always hear and obey, and whenever given the command, I shall readily fight for Allah's sake."

In the past, thousands of members of the U.S. branches of Jamaat ul-Fuqra traveled to Pakistan for paramilitary training, but encampments, such as Islamberg, are now capable of providing book-camp training so raw recruits are no longer required to travel abroad amidst the increased scrutiny of post 9/11.]

what is wrong with US?? how is it possible for a lying manipulating
IslaMarxist to be maneuvered into the highest position in the land..
how self destructive & suicidal are we??

Allah is Satan, at least with regard to Christianity and Judaism. Satan crafted Islam and I have yet to see a better theory put forth than the revived caliphate, which the Muslim world wants, will be the empire of the Antichrist, given that all of the important places in scripture outside of historic Israel, even the once-great Egypt and Persia, are in or are themselves Muslim countries and that they completely surround it.

Chip Bennett beat me to it. Muslims only claim that the God of the Bible and allah of the Koran are the same. When Mo invented his ‘religion’ he had to borrow heavily from Judaism and Christianity to give some kind of historical legitimacy. However he made the mistake of basing his authenticity on a foundation that denies his claims of authenticity. There is nothing ‘holy’ about the Koran. Ever wonder why the Bible is banned in muslim countries even though most of the stories and prophets are contained in both books ?

I’m sure obama is going to run down there and put a gag order on everyone. Just hear it all now, Can’t say muslim terrorist jihad; don’t talk to the press, that poor muslim doctor probably got a cold hard stare from someone.

This was a premediated revenge killing by a muslim terrorist period. It was known about him 6 months ago. What happened to obama’s Preventative Prolonged Detention program. Guess the shooter, being Islam, wasn’t a bigger threat than we tea party protesters.

That police officer that shot Hasan should of been packing a bigger gun.

“According to a November 4th Stratfor report, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) leader, Nasir al-Wahayshi, wrote an article last week in an online magazine, Sada al-Malahim (The Echo of the Battle). In it he called for jihadists to conduct easy attacks on targets in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Yemen, as well as in Western Nations “at war with Islam”. They were to use easily accessible weapons and explosives and to not “waste a lot of time finding the materials…” The way in which this information was disseminated is just as telling as the article itself. According to the global intelligence source, Stratfor:

“That al-Wahayshi gave these instructions in an internet magazine distributed via jihadist chat rooms, not in some secret meeting with his operational staff, demonstrates that they are clearly intended to reach grassroots jihadists — and are not intended as some guidance for AQAP members.”
    –snip–

There will be more, soon. Time to crack down further on the RIGHT, will be the fed and MSM logic. Time to “reach out” to Muslim-Americans.

At the NYPost, Ralph Peters bemoans the cowardice of Political Correctness, while at displaying his own:

“What cowards we are. Political correctness killed those patriotic Americans at Ft. Hood as surely as the Islamist gunman did. And the media treat it like a case of non-denominational shoplifting.

This was a terrorist act. When an extremist plans and executes a murderous plot against our unarmed soldiers to protest our efforts to counter Islamist fanatics, it’s an act of terror. Period. ”

    again, from the last paragraph:
“to protest our efforts to counter Islamist fanatics,”

NO, RALPH. It was not for “protest”, it was for JIHAD.

Using “radical Islamist” for Muslim. Why not “fundamentalist Muslim”? Or “originalist Muslim”?

    Or just simply, “devout Muslim”.
Still, a good article, even if Peters still dances merrily and obliviously around the actual CORE, LYNCHPIN TRUTH, he nails a few other truths quite well. And he, as an employee, has to toe certain lines. (Like, the line which says “Don’t ever tell the actual truth about Islam and Mohammad which is relevant to the story.”)

Being a journalist, even one who knows the truth, would be trying, because if you work for a paper, you can’t tell that truth.

Never trust Muslims is one of my rules I live by. That might make me a racist but I rather be a “racist” than be sleeping in the morgue because I let my defenses down.

There is video of him walking into a store wearing his mandress and other soldiers in uniform around him not even giving him a second glance.

There are reasons that some people are more paranoid than others, that’s natures way of ensuring that not everyone is too trustful and at least the paranoid will survive to carry on the fight.

I just hope all the military bases take appropriate action, and maybe stop allowing so many Muslims into the ranks. This isn’t an isolated incident.

Okay, so I clicked on the Gawker link to actually READ the report, not just base my assumption on Gatewaypundit’s erroneous assumptions.

So this task force was in place from April 2008-January 2009. Who was the POTUS during this time? I’ll give ya a hint: not Obama.

This task force was based at George Washington University, not the White House, not any government agency or department. It was not organized by Obama.

So your claim that Hasan sat on Obama’s national security task panel has, at best, a tenuous connection to the reality.

Sorry to have disturbed you… but remember, when you assume, you make an ass of, well, yourselves.

I guarantee you that the responses to this message WILL NOT address the substance of what I have pointed out… instead, the responses will be personal attacks, much easier that way, no?… wait for it in 3…2…1…

The jihadi who mowed down scores at Fort Hood was an adviser to the
Homeland Security Policy Institute’s presidential transition task force.

I read the Third Terrorist and while that doesn’t make me a Timothy McVeigh expert it does lead me to believe that when people bring him into a discussion it is nonsensical.
I guess what I have to ask is who the person thinks TV was and why do they think he did what he did.

just finished listening to the 20/20 story on Fort Hood..

they interviewed one of the victims who’s head was grazed
by a bullet & also shot in the back.. but is thankfully fine!!

they also told the story about Kim Munley, the courageous police officer
who drew Hasans attention away from the soldiers, how he charged at her
shooting her to the ground.. where lying on her back still managed to fire
the shot that brought him down.. she’s a true HERO if there ever was one!!

Your saying something is a stupid argument doesn’t make it so. McVie was everything you people seem to admire, right until he drove up to the Murrah Building with a truck full of fertilizer.

You rightly see him as an aberration, of Christianity, and conservatism. Yet you use this instance to bolster your racism and fear. You are fools manipulated by frauds.

Olm says:”I guess what I have to ask is who the person thinks TV was and why do they think he did what he did.”

I think McVie was a lost soul who got wrapped up in the right wing attacks leveled at President Clinton. Waco happened because federal law officers were murdered trying to serve a warrant to Koresh. Normally conservatives are outraged when cult leaders kill law officers… What was the difference this time? Oh yeah you conservatives used that terrible day to attack the president to score cheap political points. The only problem is that McView was too stupid to see through the republican posturing and believed what you people were saying. Good job.

    Are you freaking kidding me?

Okay, let’s try this again: READ the ACTUAL report from the ACTUAL task force. The dates and background for the task force are clearly stated in the ACTUAL report. Obama did NOT pick the people on this task force. It was in place in APRIL 2008, before Obama even won the election.

Sorry for the caps but I don’t think you’ll understand otherwise.

    Joanne-
    You wrote:

It’s interesting because the bible itself commands you to kill anyone, including family, that follows another god. In several different places. So I would say that your god wants you to kill in his name. Is that sickening? I think so. If you haven’t seen any of these passages in the bible, I’ll help you out here:
Deuteronomy 13:6-10, “If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. 9 You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people. 10 Stone him to death, because he tried to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.”

I think the main point here should be that something very very wrong happened at Fort Hood. It’s horrific that anyone (from any religion) would open fire on fellow humans like this. It’s truly sad that an expectant mother, and an American soldier was one of the victims of this crime.

What if everyone could stop fighting and arguing and killing over religious beliefs that aren’t backed by any empirical evidence? As long as we’re making up hypothetical scenarios I’d prefer one that doesn’t waste lives and resources over disagreements about faith.

Earth to all citizens of the US/West..

IT’S OFFICIAL: THE JIHAD IS HERE

Muslim radicals call Hasan ‘Officer and a Gentleman’

13 deaths were ‘pre-emptive attack;’ ‘We do NOT denounce his actions’

["Every day is Fort Hood for the world community due to USA policies and their tyrant totalitarian puppet regimes," the activists proclaimed. "Rest assure (sic) the slain terrorists at Fort Hood are in the eternal hellfire and it is not to (sic) late for YOU to change your policies," they said.

The website's mission statement states, "Revolution Muslim is a message and movement grounded in the sayings, deeds, actions and understanding of Ahlus Sunnah wal jama'ah (The collective body of those Muslims that adhere to the ways of the Prophet (SAWS) and the first four generations of Muslims)."

It continues, "We pray that we may witness the dismantlement of western, secular dominance across the world as we hold it to be pagan and idolatrous in the majority of its presumptions. We seek a resurrection of the just example set forth by centuries of Islamic rule throughout the ages and we hold it to be self evident for the objective soul and mind that Allah is One and that Muhammad ibn Abdullah is His Prophet and that the religion offers the solution to all of the world’s ills and afflictions."

The base commander said soldiers reported they heard Hasan shout
"Allahu Akbar," or "Allah is the greatest," while he was shooting.]

no one has been heeding the numerous warnings, namely the MSM, most especially our Congressmen/Women, Homeland Security, DOD, DOS, etc.. & our so called President..

So I’m going to be slaughtered “en-mass” because I think people should stop killing each other over religion?
What exactly do you mean by “en-mass”? Like, all of me slaughtered as opposed to just my arm or something?
What’s really interesting is that you seem to be assuming I’m a Muslim or something. I’m not. I was actually brought up and confirmed as a Roman Catholic. I’ve just been wondering lately why so many feel the need to continue to kill over religious beliefs that are not based on solid evidence.

Fundamentalists. Extremists. Anyone who believes literally what is written in their religious texts worries me. These religious texts, and I’m speaking about the bible and koran specifically, call on believers to kill anyone who doesn’t believe what they do. I think that’s the problem here.

“I’ve just been wondering lately why so many feel the need to continue to kill over religious beliefs that are not based on solid evidence.” by Jon

You just contradicted yourself with your quote from the Bible.

It may be difficult to explain, but those guilty of leading God’s people astray as in your quote in the Bible, will be dealt with on Judgment Day. In comparing Christianity to Islam as religions, especially as a Christian yourself, you give credence to what the Koran teaches. How many Christians do you know that support killing all non-Christians? I’ll take a guess…..NONE! A Christian does not equate the Word of God with the teachings of Islam, unless that person has no understanding of the Word of God. Christians generally take the stand to keep the 10 Commandments and leave revenge and justice to Jesus Christ. How many times are we to forgive our brother who asks for forgiveness? There is no limit to forgiveness no matter how many times our brother fails. I do believe those guilty of leading others astray will suffer the consequences in life and in the resurrection.

It may serve you well to remember that there was to be no blemish found in the people of the Tribes of Israel when the Priest asked God for forgiveness for the peoples’ sins.

“…., but Aaron shall expiate once a year upon its horns with blood; he shall expiate upon it with a sin-offering of expiations once in a year, for your descendants. It is the Holy of Holies to the EVER-LIVING.” Exodus 30:10

I would think that killing those who led them astray was an incentive for self-preservation. Today, our forgiveness comes from Jesus Christ Himself; we do not have to offer a blemish-free animal to God or anything else. We must ask for forgiveness, turn away from our sin, obey the Ten Commands and the Word of Lord.

I didn’t contradict myself with the quote from the bible, I was simply pointing out that the bible calls for killing non-christians. The koran isn’t the only religious text that commands it’s followers to kill. Several people in this thread have commented how sick islam is for calling for the killing of non-believers. And to clear up my comment about religious beliefs that aren’t based on solid evidence, I don’t count the bible or the koran as solid evidence.
I know that most christians right now don’t think that they should be running around killing everyone that doesn’t believe as they do, but it is what is written in the bible. The word of god, as you say. Most christians, like you, pick and choose what they will follow from the bible. “…leave revenge and justice to jesus christ.” Well that’s not what the bible tells you to do. I’m glad most christians can ignore some of the ridiculousness that is in the bible, but their religion at it’s core is every bit as extreme as islam. I wish all involved could just stop wasting so many lives and resources fighting over this stuff.
