FOX News analyst and Retired Lt. Col. Ralph Peters was offended at the speech today by President Obama at Fort Hood.
Peters was on with Bill O’Reilly tonight:

Via Breitbart TV
Peters was not too happy with the president’s speech at the memorial:

“The speech was clearly written by someone who didn’t serve in the military… No, it wasn’t hard to comprehend and it’s not now. It was the act of an Islamic terrorist who gunned down 55 people, 54 people, because he believed he was doing the will of Allah in accordance with the Koran.”

Much of Odumbos criticism could have been diverted had he come straight out and called hassan out for what he really is and that is a traitor. But no odumbo came off as once again the man-child he is bumbling and fumbling along.

    Bullseye! Thanks, Colonel.

Unfortunately, our president has boxed himself in with the Cairo speech over the summer. He extended what he considered to be an olive branch, and now he can’t walk back from his glowing comments about Islam without losing face.

It’s like the gaffe he made (during the primary debates against Hillary) when he said he’d negotiate with Iran without preconditions. He was too proud to admit that he voiced a foolish opinion that would be dangerous for America, so instead he had to design a whole new policy around it. That’s why he’s so stubborn in his desire to negotiate with Iran despite the oppression revealed by their sham election.

Pres. Obama doesn’t like to admit that he failed to perceive where the true dangers lie in our modern world.

Obama didn’t DO what he SHOULD have done and that was to FLY to Ft. Hood that night. A speech a few days later is just empty words he doesn’t mean. He didn’t make the effort and it’s HIS JOB.

He’s Commander-In-Chief. Our troops were attacked on US soil – more casualties than that Afghan outpost the Dems were wringing their hands over – trying to work it into an excuse to cut and run.
We gonna cut-and-run from Ft Hood?
No. President Bush and Mrs. Bush showed up in soldidarity with the families and the wounded. Bush didn’t go for pictures, he went because it was the right thing to do. Period.

    Peters is absolutely correct.
It is not hard to figure out the reasonable people from the extremists. Many Muslims world-wide are subject to a Mafia-like domination of their daily business by the Muslim Brotherhood which funds itself thru crime and protection extortions. Lots of Muslims are business owners and must pay to stay in business. These people would LOVE to have that blight removed from their lives. In regions where the Taliban have taken control, life nearly grinds to a halt as the extremists run thru their list of “can’ts” and “no.” No schools, no hospitals for women, no vaccinations for kids … no no no.
The Left’s policy is appeasement of terrorists, NOT meaningful engagement with moderate Muslims, otherwise Nasan would be roundly condemned for what he is and has done, not getting free running interference with excuses for what he did. Plenty of Muslims are appalled and know very well the likes of Nasan can easily be sent against them. Radicals constantly sneak about trying to recruit their children.
No one wins with blind appeasement except the terrorists – they will exploit every weakness and opportunity and mock whom they perceive as weak behind their backs.

    from a previous post..

    Obama Bans The Word “Terrorism”

Obama Co-Sponsors UN Resolution Making Criticism Of Islam Illegal

[Obama just had the U.S. at the UN consponsor with Egypt a resolution against inciting religious hatred. But apparently his Secretary of State
is not on board, or not completely on board.

    [..]

In opening remarks for the release of the State Department’s Annual Report on International Religious Freedom, Clinton said that while some claim so-called defamation of religions policies would help protect freedom of religion, she “strongly disagree[s].”

“The United States will always seek to counter negative stereotypes of individuals based on their religion and will stand against discrimination and persecution,” Clinton stated. “But an individual’s ability to practice his or her religion has no bearing on others’ freedom of speech.”

The protection of speech about religion and religious discourse is important in a world with many different faith beliefs, asserted the high-ranking U.S. diplomat.]

good for her, but i’m not about to celebrate anything Hillary has to say as she has a habit of reversing her positions when it comes to power grabs, US be damned..

Earth to O’Reilly.. devils advocate or not.. you got it bass ackwards just like you did when you agreed with Reid that the “war was lost”.. now is not the time for playing, millions of lives are at still at stake, save it for those who give a bats guano about your ratings..

    …………………….

Like the way you want us to jump to conclusions by employing the generic “Muslim sites” when it’s plain the sites are hard-core nasty, i.e. “Revolution Muslim?”

It’s as dishonest as the Left practice of mushing hard-core terrorists in with work-a-day people who get terrorised by these very same terrorists for not being “Muslim enough.”
One group we can work with, the other we can’t. AND common ground can be found amongst plenty of average Muslims who haven’t been radicalized, against the terrorists.
It’s a fallacy to proclaim that if one speaks against the terrorists, one speaks against all Muslims. B.S. The terrorists don’t get along with anyone, they wreck every haven they run to. Average Muslims are just as happy to be rid of them as we would be.

not sarc, reality.. Obama is no dummy, and people had better wake up to that fact.. yes, he has a lot of dubious beyond belief strings attached, yes, he sounds like a man-child, yes, he’s an empty suit, etc, etc, etc, yes to all & every criticism.. the irony is, that’s what makes him all the more dangerous.. just listen to him, he’s not speaking untruths, he’s saying things you & i know aren’t true, but to him & the millions to whom he’s aiming his words, they are true beyond the shadow of a doubt.. we who recognize the untruths he speaks are not that audience.. that audience believes he is the Savior, evidently so does he, not to mention a few in the MSM being amongst them..

[disclaimer: even if he deliberately lies (heck, there's no way getting around that, he's got to know he tells lies), the audience the lies are aimed at believe them simply because he's the one telling them.. ie: they wouldn't believe a thing he said if his exact words were coming out of, say, Bush's mouth.]

A handful of true American heroes are finally being given a little well deserved recognition for their bravery and loyalty despite injustices against their people.
The Navajo Code Talkers clearly loved America and served it bravely and with limitless devotion. What a contrast the Code Talkers are to the fanatic muslim scumbag victimologist who in fact has led a priviliged existence as a psychiatrist educated by the American taxpayer but imagined himself and muslims as victims maiming or murdering more than 40 of our nation’s soldiers and betraying the nation that gave him his fat easy life. ” Moby?”

Hard to say, when the object of the satire is now beyond parody. Poor Carrie Prejean has made a complete fool out of herself by championing traditional values as she packed her breasts with silicone and sent her boyfriend a video of herself masturbating wildly.

Major Nidal Malkil Hasan, on the other hand, was so incensed by the violence being committed against his fellow Muslims that he became a mass murderer of American troops, people who had pledged their lives to defend Muslims from their fellow Muslims, who rape them, torture them, murder them, and extort them, all with Allah’s blessings.

The pious Christian girl who makes sexy wanking videos, and the Muslim committing inexcusable crimes in the name of justice. Killing the only people who have any hope of making things better for the people Hasan claims to love..

It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, mad world. Aren’t no Moby’s anymore. They’re can’t No position is too bizarre.

Not in the least. I was never attracted to the poor dummy from the beginning. I hate fake boobs; shes too young,; and she’s too much of a TV stereotype, the wide-eyed Christian blonde who’ll sin like a wildcat under the right conditions.

Carrie Prejean never killed anyone, but she’s a living, breathing stereotype who needs to disappear from public view now. She can’t be mocked, because she’s already a self-parody.

Major Nidal Malkil Hasan is a self-parody, too, but where Prejean doesn’t hurt anybody except herself and tries–however clumsily–to improve the world, Hasan just wants to kill, main, and inflict misery. He’s about tearing everything down.

Both these people are part of the same problem. They’re become bizarre robots animated by a twisted interpretation of what the Almighty wants them to do, but like so many others neither are living by the rules they profess to have accepted.

It goes without saying that Prejean is light years ahead of Hasan in terms of morality; the world would probably be a much better place if everyone sent naughty videos to each other.

But she’s a phony in the same way that Hasan and Obama and the Army brass and the Wall Street fat cats and Hollywood big dogs are phonies. Nobody’s real anymore, and we’re reaching the point where there’s absolute hell to pay for it.

    lestweforgetNo Gravatar
    November 11th, 2009 | 2:29 am | #21

The confusion stems from the failure to recognize the moral difference between those individuals who actions are based on their own mental illness and those evil enough who, for their own political purposes, exploit the unfortunates so motivated. Those who comprise the second group are the terrorists, the ones who will survive to see the benefits. The evil lies with them.
The doc snapped, however long it took him to act, just like Tim McVeigh or the chimp in Connecticut snapped or the kids in Columbine – that’s part of our fragile mental condition. If he had had God in his life, he could have gotten the spiritual strength from HIm to understand that killing others would not relieve his mental anguish and to reject those who would encourage such thoughts

It Has Always Been The Soldier

    It is the soldier,

    It is the soldier,

    It is the soldier,
not the Reporter who has given us Freedom of Press.

    0bama:

Let me be clear. The Muslims invented everything from the printing press to the pen. So, it is incomprehensible that a Muslim man would gun down 40 plus members of the military who keep screwing up Muslim countries. Sure, suicide bombers do it all the time. But, that is not the point.

And, this small act of violence has nothing to do with a Terrorist attack on US soil. It’s strictly an isolated domestic violence case. It’s not a Terrorist Attack. Your in good hands with the vigilant 0bama.

I will not jump to conclusions – that is Axelrod’s job. I will suggest that this is simply another innocent Muslim whose gun pointed itself at people and got gun got stuck on fire mode while in a crowd of American Military personnel. Nothing else! It has nothing to do with Sudden Jihad Syndrome.

I will commend Major Nidal Malik Hasan for being true to his faith and being a shining example for young Muslims world wide. The Military sucks. Now, I will let Eric Holder and CAIR explain to you the very reasons for needing more gun restrictions and Psychological experts at our military bases.

I will send my condolences via a video to the family members of the dead. Allah is great. Good day.

Over the past few months, you’ve done a lot to buck up my spirits when I needed it, please allow me the opportunity to repay the kindness. While there is a lot of corruption and dry rot in our society, it’s not all bad. Individuals such as those who really got the Tea Party movement going–mostly mothers who had never been politically active putting their valuable time and energy into putting a stop to the Democrats’ plans–individuals who have suffered belittlement, harassment, physical threats, and yes, even beatings, to stand up for what they believe in. Our brave men and women in uniform who put it all on the line everyday without complaint, knowing that their commander in chief hates their guts and everything they stand for, and yet they’re still there, keeping us all safe. Those few representatives and senators who are doing their jobs and seeing to the needs and wishes of the people they represent. Men and women doing little acts of kindnesses for people who never receive publicity or ask for it–their numbers are legion.

Yes, Carrie Prejean did some foolish things–but she’s young–and youth, as they say, is wasted on the young. Hopefully, she’ll grow and mature. It’s our task to see that she has a country in which she can do that.

As for Hasan, in the end, he’ll face justice both here on Earth and a higher justice later.

I can’t believe this thread mentions Carrie Prejean.

It’s Veterans Day, and this thread is about our men and women of valor.

    Focus, folks.

My only question to Major Hasan is, “What took you so long?”

The signs were all there for years.

The Wash Post website shows all 50 pages of his metal health presentation, er, Islamic Religious Indoctrination.

Michelle Malkin is calling for an investigation of every dhimmi who sat through it and kept quiet.

The troll is back to discuss Carrie Prejean. A big international problem verging on worldwide war. You’re such an idiot.

Jim, while Obama’s speech was a clear example of how clueless he is to the dangers we face here at home, and while he could not even call the soldiers who died “our” soldiers (which would require him taking some ownership as their CIC), at least this is one speech he did not make all about him. So empty platitudes from an emply suit was not all that surprising to me.

What bothered me the most, out of everything that has been said about the worst terrorist attack on our soil since 9-11, came not from a president who seems to be far removed from our military (Clinton was as well) but came from General Casey on a Sunday morning TV interview. Casey said [not verbatum] that while this was a tragedy, but a greater tragedy would be if this affected the diversity that is our military. His answer was in response to a question about blowback against Muslims in our military.

So do you have that clear, Jim? The death of 13 American soldiers, on an American base on American soil is tragic, but not as tragic as would be the end to politically correctness in our military and a system of “diversity” that allows for those like the shooter (I refuse to say his name) to even be in our military when he should have been deported to the Islamic nation of his choice or better yet, sitting in the brig for conspiracy with the enemy.

Diversity, better known to some of us as political correctness, allowed for the murder of 14 people. Diversity, above all else, above security for our soldiers, must not be allowed to be affected by this henious act of a radical Islamofascist who was home grown.

The problem is clear; there are those, especially on the left, who see our military as nothing but another social engineering project. Political correctness, and the fear of retribution against those who questioned it, is as equally guilty of murdering those 14 Americans as the shooter is. There is blood on the hands of those politicians who have foisted this system on our soldiers, but as we have seen, no one will point the finger at them, and the ones who caused this atmosphere, will be the first to point the fingers at someone else.

What kind of military do we have when General Casey is so worried about diversity in the military? Or would a better question be, has our military become so political that we are willing to forefiet security for “diversity”? Was Casey actually expressing his own view, or was he being told how to react by his CIC? Americans have a right to know.

You need to find the video of Casey and post it for all your readers to see just how FUBARed our military has become. And the American people need to demand that Casey, if that was his personal view and he was not reponding on orders from the Oval Office, be replaced by a General who WILL put safety above “diversity”.

Unless Washington realizes that the enemy is no longer at the gate, but is now inside the gate, Fort Hood will, I fear, be only the beginning.

    My God help us all.

After 9/11, there was no shortage of callers to the Salem Broadcasting crew praising the Compassionate Dope for throwing around billions of taxpayer dollars recklessly on homeland security just as the Dithering Blowhard is now throwing trillions at the economy by handing it over to parasites. They seemed to forget that the government messes up everything it touches. They also seemed to forget that it’s in the nature of government to use crises — perhaps even to manufacture crises — in order to acquire more power. That last one is not my insight. That’s the insight of the Founders and others who have written in defense of liberty.

The Dithering Blowhard’s teleprompters should have been at half-mast.

IMHO, the Memorial was to pay tribute, respect, honor, and mourn the fallen and wounded for their service. It was not the time to take the focus away from them.

There will be plenty of time to address the how and why of what happened. But I am glad the service yesterday focused on the troops and their contributions and sacrifices.

    WELCOME HOME!!

    Lestweforget #21:

You’ve demonstrated hideous ignorance of Islam and its teachings.

Do yourself a favor and go read through Hasan’s slide show. It is a basic primer on the Koran and it’s messenger. And pay special attention to the concept of abrogation. He was doing allah’s will, answering allah’s demand for blood of the infidel.

It’s ignorance such as you’ve demonstrated that will one day land the butcher’s knife at your throat- and of those who are likewise willfully blind.

Gen. Casey should be shot alongside Maj. Hasan.

There have been presidents who would have canned his ass on the spot after hearing that incredibly stupid comment.

Where in the U.S. Constitution is diversity guaranteed? We have the right to “…life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” but apparently that’s not enough for the enemies of this republic.

If I could set this country back 200 years, when my German and Scottish ancestors arrived and had to build their futures with the bare hands, I would.

Our republic was built by patriots, and on this Veterans’ Day, I pray that our soldiers are protected not only from our enemies, but from our foolish government.

This first instance of an officer shooting subordinates deserves a military trial and execution. It does not matter why he committed treason. In this case it was Islamic fundamentalism. In another case it may be something else. The military services must protect their soldiers and civilian assitants by rooting out treason.
And on a lesser note: those who cannot/donot wish to serve at the battlefront, should be encouraged to leave. QA good weeding out is obviously overdue.

With what was known about Hasan long before his Jihad mission of death and destruction, it is incomprehensible that nothing was done about it. If I were the families of the dead and wounded, I would legally go after those responsible for doing absolutely nothing to protect the American people. I would also go after Obama for putting this man in a position within Homeland Security.

Ladue Pundit, I don’t want Casey shot. I want him removed from command. To think that the loss of diversity would be a greater tragedy than was the loss of 13 American soldiers at the hands of an Islamic terrorist goes beyond political correctness. It shows, IMHO, a reluctance to protest those under his command in order to play the political games.

Why was Casey appointed to this position if he doesn’t put the safety of those under his command, first and foremost?

We have to clean the dangerous mindset out of our country that allows for those who would do us harm to continue unfettered and unopposed. The U.S. Consitution guarantees our freedom, it is not a suicide pact.

God punishes those he loves in life. It is best to remember that Jesus shed his blood so our sins could be forgiven. Our goal may be to strive to Christ’s perfection, but we will always fall short. Thanks to God’s good grace and forgiveness, we will overcome death. Carrie will receive forgiveness like anyone else who asks for it and turns away from her sins.

It is always amazing how non-Christians think that a Christian who falls cannot pick themselves up.

I will reserve my remedy regarding Gen. Casey until we learn what he knew, and when he knew it.

At his level, and given what he unswervingly gives his allegiance to, i.e., “diversity” over rationality, it is hard to imagine he’s innocent in his thinking. Or he is just another monkey bureaucrat who fears retirement.

Either way, his mindset spells death to our troops.

    An insufficiently colorful color guard?

How deep does the culture of political correctness run in the military and the service academies? We’re getting some idea in the case of Major Nidal Malik Hasan. The Hasan story has rightly overwhelmed the news. Evidence of the red flags preceding his murder spree continues to accumulate and enrage. One inevitably sees in the disregarded red flags a case of political correctness run amok.
