Sarah Palin told Bill O’Reilly that it is ridiculous for Obama to be going around the world bowing down and apologizing for America.
Ouch.
From the video: Anyone who believes that this woman could not perform the duties of President adequately must have some kind of mental illness, which is likely liberalism.
Here’s the transcript:
Sarah Palin: We must exert the pressure that we can put on our allies and those who are not so friendly to us.
Bill O’Reilly: Obama says he’s doing all that.
Sarah Palin: He’s bowing to world leaders. That I think any other president in our history…
Bill O’Reilly: You mean that literally, the Japanese emperor?
Sarah Palin: I mean that literally.
Bill O’Reilly: You think Obama is weak abroad?
Sarah Palin: I believe that his approach to diplomacy is not what history has shown us works.
Ping.

A clip that should be instructive to those who promulgate the myth that Sarah is a sexy bimbo who is ignorant of foreign affairs. She wasn’t perfect here, but she was a long drink of bourbon better that Obama could hoped to be without his teleprompter telling him what to say.
If you don’t believe, contrast the rapid fire intellectual give-and-take of this exchange with the vapid exchanges of O’Reilley’s interview with Obama during the campaign last Fall.
November 20th, 2009 | 11:49 pm | #6
I’m growing weary of all the Sarah Palin hoopla. The fact that she is a better alternative to Obama (as is probably everyone in this room) does not compel me to regard her as particularly worthy of our adulation. Yes, the media has been horribly unfair to her, and yes her grandchild’s father is an idiot, but come on folks. She lost the election, she stepped down from her office, and now she’s hawking a self-promotional book that I have no intention of reading. We’re better than this, people.
November 20th, 2009 | 11:53 pm | #7
Sarah Palin is a class act. She’s one of few that has the courage to speak out against Obama and his socialist policies. Keep it up Sarah.
November 21st, 2009 | 12:06 am | #8
Being as informed as you can is what will help you decide whether someone is worthy of your support (doesn’t have to be adulation.) I would have thought reading her book would assist with this.

Anthony,
Can’t stand the topic of Sarah, yet can’t tear yourself away either?
November 21st, 2009 | 12:20 am | #10
I was somewhat disappointed with the interview. Sarah wasn’t shall I say firm enough. She even seemed more concerned with PC than the truth in her refusing to label Obama as a socialist (or at the very least saying he’s acting like one), not denouncing ‘reverend’ Wright as non-Christian and in general seeming reserved. She didn’t offer any alternative solutions save the vague free market talking point. I know about PC and all but still–she should speak her mind. I have to agree with Anthony here.
November 21st, 2009 | 12:27 am | #11
Anthony Mator…
You have not been reading or listening to Sarah.
McCain lost the election, not Sarah. Sarah still has the following of the people. She has more experience then Obama ever had. She stepped down because the libs were filling false claims in court against her; Alaska supported her at an expensive amount of money against the state. She stepped down because she didn’t want the expense against the people of Alaska. By the way all of these false accusations against her were thrown out of court. As far as you not reading her book (as you call hawking) you are doing yourself a disservice of not knowing the facts. It’s really a shame that people like you stay in the uneducated mindset of trouncing without intellectual capacity of what she stands for.

Anthony,
Did you watch the interview with O’Reilly?
If you watch the video you’ll see someone entirely different from the national neophyte who was sandbagged by Katie Couric. This woman is very bright and a lightning fast study.
Further, she has charisma, optimism, and the common touch. And if you read her political history you’ll recognize what Alaskans – and her own family – say about her: Sarah Palin is absolutely relentless.
We discard a leader like this at our peril.

“What the hell just hit us? For one horrible moment, it looked as if the carefully crafted plans of David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, George Soros, and the Second Chief Directorate, first department, of the old KGB were about to gang agley.
We were also outraged that the Stupid Party had just nominated a completely unqualified candidate nobody had ever heard of, a first-term governor of Alaska whose previous experience consisted of a small-town mayoralty. As opposed to our guy, Barry Soetoro of Mombasa, Djakarta, and Honolulu, a first-term senator nobody had ever heard of, whose previous experience had been as a state senator (D., Daley Machine) in Illinois. After eight long, illegitimate, lawless years of &*^%BUSH$#@! tyranny, how dare you contest this election?

If you’re inclined to prefer politicians over public servants, then her resigning probably bothers you, and no matter how she explains it you won’t get it.

And Barack Obama spent roughly 147 days in the Senate voting present? People leave jobs for many reasons in life. I can think of a couple people who have left jobs that some people thought they were crazy to leave, only to move on and do wonderful things, that’s a lame argument. Bill Gates quit college, look what he accomplished. It’s ridiculous, and if the lame stream media wants to promote that, it will fail. We have all experienced that in life. Life isn’t written out for you, with a script to follow. Life throws you curves, and you have to learn to swerve. Barack Obama falsely spoke hope, Sarah Palin, shows hope. The problem I have with Bill O’Reilly is that he gets these people on his shows and won’t let them talk. We tune in to hear what they have to say, not whatever his views are at the moment. He rudely interrupts his guests in mid sentence and never lets them finish their thoughts or ideas.
I wanted to hear what Palin had to say. All Bill had to do was ask a question and let her talk.
And when she was finished answering that question, ask her another. He likes to argue with his guests’ points of view and we never find out what they really think. He was much more respectful and deferential to Obama.

Yet, you think you know anything (e.g., diplomacy, history, etc.) well enough to make this judgment about Palin. After all, you probably supported Obama, right? Look at his actions since taking office. Do you think they look like the actions of a man that “knows anything about either diplomacy or history.”
I have to laugh at many on the Left that like to attack Palin and other Republicans in isolation without being intellectually honest and benchmarking them and their comments to those of the people they support. Jeez, look at Biden. Has their been somebody in politics that has been more wrong about more issues over the past 30 years than Biden? Or said some of the more idiotic things publicly during that time? Yet, like a child, you (Just Sayin’) only attack Republicans like Palin. You hit the nail on the head. This Just Sayin’ moron spends all their time attacking Palin with sophomoric and generic insults, without realizing that they are acting exactly like the type of simpleton they are trying so hard to convince everyone that Palin is.
The desire to destroy Palin is a truly fascinating phenomena. Palin is not a genius — no prominent national politician of either party is, to be perfectly honest — but to attack her while ignoring the stupidity and/or vacuousness of an Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Boxer, etc., tells you all you need to know about the motivations of idiots like Just Sayin’. I can’t fathom tossing out my personal integrity and credibility like Just Sayin’ & Co. are doing simply to score political points. It’s the type of cynical behavior one would expect from paid political consultants/strategists of both parties like Carville, Begala, Rollins, Murphy, etc.

Wow, you are an idiot. You’re trying way too hard to bash Palin — so hard that you just stuck your foot in your mouth by taking your own intentionally narrow personal definition of “world leader” and bashing Palin for using a term used by many others for Emperor Akihito. The Emperor IS a “world leader,” as he is chief or head of state (Prime Minister Hatoyama is head of the government) for Japan. He is also worth enough respect in the mind of your man-child President for him to bow subserviently to him, isn’t he?
If you need further proof that Akihito is considered a “world leader,” why don’t you go to the CIA Web site and see whom is listed under “World Leaders” for Japan? I’ll even provide you with the link to the “World Leaders” page of the site with Japan listed:
CIA World Leaders – J
But I guess Palin and the CIA are wrong and you — the “world renowned” Internet pundit Chris — know more than them. What a pathetic and idiotic attempt at scoring political points on your part. Perhaps you need to travel more. You might learn something.
“She isn’t qualified to work at Starbucks, let alone be President”? She was governor of a state, you putz, and had one of the best job approval ratings in the country among governors before the clowns on your side of the aisle spent so much time tearing her apart with personal attacks on her and her family and frivolous ethics complaints. Her quitting the job or not doesn’t change the fact that your “Starbucks” analogy is idiotic beyond belief. Like monkeys, you and the rest of the Left spout this crap because it makes you feel superior to Palin, when you’re not. You spout your BS on the Internet without your full identity and without fear of anything but a strongly worded response from someone like me, while she’s out in the public eye taking the arrows and snide remarks from clowns like you and your Left-wing allies in the mainstream media. Do you even face 1/10th of the scrutiny that she faces on a daily basis?
Your lame attempt at finding any reason to bash Palin — even when not warranted like your comment above — is laughable in that you are undoubtedly very selective with your criticisms of political figures. After all, I’m sure you criticized Obama when he mocked the Special Olympics on “The Tonight Show” or thought there were 57 U.S. states and you criticized Biden when he said “jobs” was a three-letter word or that FDR was on television in 1929 to talk about the stock market crash, among others, right? Yeah, I didn’t think so. If there were ever anyone who “isn’t qualified to work at Starbucks,” it is you, buddy.

She would do a poorer job running the country that her youngest child.
If you are going to pray for anything, pray that you snap out of this collective Palin delusion you are suffering through.

Anyone who rejects the failed economic “theory”, political “theory”, and international relations “theory” adhered to by Obama (and Wright, Ayers, Holder, Dunne, etc., etc.) is automatically better suited to success as POTUS than Obama (or any of the other lefty loons that support him). For two reasons:
First, anyone who believes in theories that have nearly a 100 years record of miserable failure and tyranny is either too stupid to be POTUS or too evil.
Second, anyone who believes that the majority of the population is too stupid to understand that 100 years of failure is too manipulative to be successful as POTUS.
So, yes. Trig Palin would be better qualified than Obama to be POTUS. His mother–who cleaned up a corrupt state political machine and completed huge projects stalled for decades–would be enormously better as POTUS than Obama.
We have to face the fact that around 20% of the US population actively hate our political and cultural institutions and will do everything possible to change it. Even putting the entire nation at risk in order to further discredit–in their minds–the last administration in their fanatic attempt to gain permanent power.

Please stop the paranoid bs about Obama. Sarah Palin is a smart savvy woman, who knows that her political career is over due to her disastrous campaign last year (and quitting office doesn’t help either). But due to a rabid cult fan base, will milk the media for all the fame and fortune she can. She will take over for Huckabee next year – mark my words.

To Slappy (comment #61): Well said.
Let ‘em have it. The leftwing nutbars are freaking out over Sarah Palin, and don’t have any sense to be freaked out instead over Obama’s perceived weakness overseas, his plummeting approval rating, his rising unemployment numbers, his fraud with “created or saved” jobs, his insufferable toadying up to socialist dictators, his spendaholic mentality, his screwing up international protocol, his waffling on responding after 3 months to Gen. McChrystal about more troops in Afghanistan, his unprecedented number of overseas trips for a president, his vain love affair with being on TV, his lack of a real plan for Gitmo detainees, his lack of a foreign policy, his disregard for Americans on trying 9/11 terrorists in a civilian court… and the list goes on and on. No word from the statists about the scandal about global warming being a well-crafted hoax… attacking Sarah Palin is more fun and less difficult for bullies who have no cerebral activity.
Why would admit you voted for a nice smile and a vague, childish dream from a man whom nobody really knows (since birth records and school records are locked up from scrutiny) rather than vote for someone who has disclosed his or her background and has character, experience, respect for American voters, non-socialist cronies, and a love of our Constitution? It’s much easier and less painful for ignorant chuckleheads like Just Sayin’ to laugh about Palin than to face up to the nightmare he and his uneducated, statist ilk elected to ruin our country.
