Senator James Inhofe will call for an investigation into the Climate Research Unit (CRU) emails that showed that global warming scientists were deliberately mainpulating and hiding information from the public to further their cause.

The Washington Times posted the interview, via HotAir.
The Washington Times also interviewed Senator Inhofe about the surprise revelation from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (CRU) e-mails over the past few days, especially in how they manipulated data and deliberately hid contradictory information while building their “consensus” on anthropogenic global warming. Inhofe told Melanie Morgan and Jed Babbin that he would call for a Congressional hearing on the e-mails and their impact on the credibility of the AGW movement, especially as it relates to the IPCC and the United Nations

I faxed a letter to the Provost of Penn State University where that fraud Dr. Michael Mann does his AGW research. I commented that I would hope PSU started an investigation on the integrity of Dr Mann’s research.

Yeah, Chisum, going back to doing the good job he’d been doing for years would certainly prove that there’s nothing wrong with his faculties, that the accusations of him being addled and senile were flat out lies.
Freddy, it looks like some believe that we Americans need to be punished for living the good life while other parts of the world have remained in middle ages, many willingly so. But since they can’t come right out and say it that way being as it outs them as envious fools and nothing more, they’ve made up some s**t about how our productiveness and standard of living have cost the rest of the world something. In the end though, it’s what you posted: they want us to hand over a pile of cash.

Looks like everyone here doesn’t have a concern about global warming trends – as most climate scientists do. Who should I believe? Senator Inhofe and the many corporate interests in the coal, energy and general industrial area that don’t want to see the status quo and their potential profits cut, or, people who do the research for a living? I’ll take a qualified stand and stay with the scientists until there is a strong scientific evidence base otherwise – which there is not, folks.

I recall Carl Sagan telling us that if Saddam set just one third of Kuwait’s wells ablaze there would be a nuclear winter, crops would die and there would be mass starvation. It would take years to put them out. Well Saddam set them all ablaze and it took petroleum workers just six months to put them out. That was the early nineties and it continued to warm until 1998. Then this last eleven years of cooling began. What correlated with this ? Sunspot cycles.
Though scientist operate on more informed opinion than the non scientist it is still just opinion.

Thanks for the suggestions.
The facts about each person are as good as the internet sources. The sorting between advocate or skeptic is my own judgment. If or when you don’t agree with my sorting, that’s fine by me. It only improves the information which potentially helps everyone.
As I said, “Sorry if I flubbed any”.
I would also note that it’s certainly possible for academics to wage catty skirmishes on details, with others in their movement with whom they basically agree. Sadly, skirmishes too often become catty in academia.
But seriously, I neither claim or imply perfection in the list above.

I’ve been suspicious about this group ever since it was revelead they were resisting the publication of their raw data & algorithms- – which is Rule One of the scientific method: Thou shalt be open and honest with thy data and methodology, as your results mean nothing until independently replicated.
Piltdown Man II. Fire the lot of them. They’re activists, not scientists. Scientists follow the data wherever it leads, period, and to a true scientist being proved wrong is every bit as useful, as valuable, as being proved right.
