Sorry Europe. Barack Obama won’t be celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall with you this week. He’s building his own socialist wall back here at home.

John Loudon, pictured here at the Berlin Wall, apologizes to our allies in Europe for the absence of our president at this historic event.
Rob Port is also apologizing.

I find it particularly sad that our president cannot find it worthwhile to celebrate the event that brought so much freedom to so many.

I’m not sure Affirmative Action President understands the significance of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Perhaps he is among those in the media, academia, and the Democrat party who thought that the fall of the Berlin Wall was a terrible tragedy. They were hoping to see the Washington Monument come down and be replaced with a statue of Stalin. Instead, because of Ronald Reagan, millions of people were freed from the opression of Soviet Socialism. It was a sad time for most anyone Obama ever knew.
Where is Waldo, anyway? There are a dozen dead and more wounded soldiers, shot by one of his co-religionists, one of his Muslim brothers, he is not there with them. The commemeration of the end of the Cold War finds President Vaporware oddly absent. 10% unemployment, and he’s doing what? Trying to push as much jobs-killing legislation as possible. One wonders if Obama could manage to respond to the immediate urge to use the restroom. Without the teleprompter, he seems incapable of thought, actions, or movement.
Uh, hello there? President Potato Head? The worst terror attack on US soil since 9-11 just happened. 3 days later, why are you still giving us your best “deer in the headlights” look?

Go to YouTube to watch the series “In the Face of Evil: Reagan’s War in Word and Deed,” (or buy the DVD). It is a great short history about how Reagan was the right guy at the right time who deliberately set out to win the cold war, to have the Berlin Wall brought down – and was successful. It took great courage and intelligence. It is a great reminder of what a president is supposed to be.

Why would Barack Obama want to celebrate a setback to the cause of the world domination of the Communist system?

I so wish I could go, having served there in the early 1980’s. I remember the night the wall fell. Watching the TV in a lounge at DFW airport while waiting for a plane, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen and just kept saying to myself “we won”, “we won”. It was unbelievable.

Truly an absolute disgrace. One of the reasons he isn’t going is because it’s not about him…
Oh sure, he’ll show up if he’s the main act in Berlin, like he did in July 2008…
But this time he might have to acknowledge Ronald Reagan, and he can’t let that happen..
Another reason may be, his side lost when the wall fell…

The fall of Communism? You mean Communism is dead? Could have fooled me. I thought Obama was a Commie!

He can’t claim credit for any of it and it isn’t all about him. is it any wonder he isn’t attending?

It was probably the worst day in his life.

0bama:
The fall of the Berlin Wall was relic of America’s cowboy diplomacy.
If the Berlin Wall were still standing I could be apologizing for America’s suckatude to a much large Communist Country! I could be praising the USSR’s wonderful medical system – a system where End-of-Life treatment consisted of a single bullet hole to the base of the skull and a common grave for all. I call that efficient medical treatment.
But, now the country… no the entire continent is mired in various stages of capitalism. The very thing I am trying to destroy! That just frosts my whiskers!
I can only hope that Hugo Chavez and the Castro Brothers will whip South America in a paradise where political power come from the barrel of a gun… along with very late term abortions… particularly for Bloggers and taxpayers. Then maybe American will follow the same path including socialized health care and End-of-Life counseling.
My limousine is running and I have more Che and Oba-Mao T-shirts to sell at the White House gift shop. ACORN needs the money. Now, I have to look busy. I must go. Good day.

In his heart, Obama doesn’t see Communism as evil.
I suspect he also ain’t excited by the liberation of white folk.
And of course… He’s worried that attending the celebrations would be too much like Hitler surrendering to MacArthurd aboard the Arizona, brilliant Harvard scholar that he is.

i remember when the msm would actually
report on the east germans who were dying in the no-man’s zone trying to get over that wall.
it was painful following the death of someone
who wanted to be free but died as one side could do nothing while the other side wanted to send a message…..

OK, so Berlin was good enough a backdrop when the one needed to campaign, and USED it to prove how loved he was around the world.
This is BS! I can’t stand this low life. sorry. Berlin deserves better than to be used and tossed under the bus

I don’t want Obama anywhere near the celebration as he would taint it. It is perfectly appropriate that Obama stay the hell away from Germany at this time. He had nothing to do with it and his ilk defend the oppressive regime that supported it.

He is going to the memorial service at Ft. Hood tomorrow. However, unless he knew that the Ft. Hood shootings were going to happen, he can’t use that mistake. Besides, he is making an Asian trip starting on Wednesday. He can’t stay home for more than a week or so.
