In September 2008 abortion survivor Gianna Jessen joined Born Alive Truth in an illuminating ad campaign that attacked Barack Obama for voting to snuff the life out of newborn babies who miraculously survived the abortion process:
Here’s the powerful ad on Obama’s infanticide record from BornAliveTruth.org:
Can you imagine not giving babies their basic human rights, no matter how they entered our world? My name is Gianna Jessen, born 31 years ago after a failed abortion. I’m a survivor, as are many others… but if Barack Obama had his way, I wouldn’t be here.Unfortunately, Barack Obama voted four times against affording these babies their most basic human right. I have serious concerns about Senator Obama’s record and views on this issue, given he voted against these protections four times as a state Senator. Just as abuse victims share their stories to educate the public, fight for the common good and hope that as a result politicians do what’s right, I felt it was important to come forward and give these new born babies a voice.
I am living proof these babies have a right to live, and I invite you to learn more about Senator Obama’s record on this important issue.
-Abortion Survivor Gianna Jessen
Barack Obama voted 4 times to support infanticide.
So is it really that surprising that the radical Obama White House will yank the abortion funding ban from the democrat’s nationalized health care plan?
Life News reported:
Top Obama advisor David Axelrod on Sunday confirmed what pro-life advocates already suspected would happen. He said President Barack Obama will work with congressional Democrats to remove the abortion funding ban the House approved in its version of the government-run health care bill.
Axelrod says that, because the Stupak amendment allegedly goes beyond the status quo under the Hyde amendment (which bans abortion funding under Medicaid), Obama will make sure the amendment is yanked during the conference committee.
That’s the part of the legislative process that will occur if and when the Senate approves its own health care bill, which will likely start debate with abortion funding.

The notion that the “Hope and Change” president is concerned about keeping the status quo is risible.

Obama said in his Sept speech to Congress on healthcare that funding for abortion would NOT be included in any bill. This was the infamous YOU LIE speech, where Obama also denied healthcare reform wouldn’t cover illegal aliens. I guess that ‘promise’ is up in smoke, too?
The thing about liberals is that the end justifies the means. They’ll say whatever they think we want to hear, and that we’re too stupid to know the difference, which is why Joe Wilson was met with such shock by Dems in the Congress that night.
Joe Wilson should be given a Nobel Peace Prize as a champion of truth. We need to really make it known to our friends who don’t know who Obama really is that he lied about a major promise, and worse yet, that he knew he was lying when he did, and that he was willing to pin his lie on an opponent expressing his freedom of speech.
Shameful.

My understanding is that if the Stupak amendment is removed in conference, many House Democrats will no longer vote for the health care bill.
Obummer and his cronies aren’t very wise to admit this, now.

Many Republicans were suckered into voting for Pelosicare after the Stupak amendment passed.
Apparently, they actually believed that the Democrats care about the law, the rules of the House and Senate, and the concept of fair play itself.
People in general – and Republicans especially – just don’t understand the nature of the evil that they’re up against.
They’ll learn real soon.

Stunner? Not really.
Big Abortion dropped a cool $30 million towards his campaign. They’re not about to get chumped on this one. Not on your life.
Can’t wait to see how the bishops will throw down on this one.
And let’s see if Stupak et al are worthy of the title “pro-life”.

Perhaps I’m ignorant — the conference bill that is created after the House and Senate health care bills that pass each chamber — doesn’t that conference bill have to pass both the House and Senate? (Or, not?)

“Obama will make sure the amendment is yanked during the conference committee.”
Then he is assuring that the bill will never see the light of day. It will die in that committee.

Obama still believes the womb to be a “Hope Free” Zone.

Just as I thought. Stupak hits the cutting room floor just as soon as the House bill is approved. Anything to cram this garbage through.
November 15th, 2009 | 6:14 pm | #11
And this bill – even without the Stupak amendment – will supercede Hyde.
Without the Stupak amdmt., your money goes to pay for abortion-on-demand (or, birth control for people too stupid to take a pill).
And, of course obama lied. His lips were moving, weren’t they?
November 15th, 2009 | 6:26 pm | #12
Oh, he’ll still cover his ass and come out smelling like a rose. He’ll simply say that he wasn’t aware that the Stupak amendment had been yanked in committee, after all, he’s so busy touring the world he doesn’t have time to see to everything. And idiots were those who believed that the amendment would remain in the monstrosity!!

Not surprising. This so called “man” who is the president has a 100% NARAL rating. I’m pretty sure he would have no problem killing a healthy, full term newborn if the mother suddenly decided she didn’t want a child.

Every republican in the next joint address to Congress should stand up and say “you lie” to every statement by Obama.
I mean what are the dems going to do?> Trot out the facts to try to support their position.

Black women have children aborted at a greater percentage than any other race. If black women are given free government abortion, will not the black population decrease? Since black voters comprise a large portion of the democrats power base, why do the dems want more of them aborted?????? just askin

Obama doesn’t want the bill to be burdened with any restrictions on forcing the U.S. taxpayers to pay for abortions.

Gee, if I recall correctly, Clinton was impeached for ‘lying to the American people.’ Obama lied to us in the speech where Joe Wilson yelled ‘you lie’ but Obama WAS lying – he is going to make sure abortion is covered in this lousy ‘public option’ insurance takeover. So, can’t we start impeachment procedings now?

Obama wants to make sure every last tax paying American shares the blame in killing the unborn, one way or another.

Let the abortion debate continue–heck let the left’s charge against the Catholic Church continue….they are just shooting themselves in the foot. This bill is as good as dead. If the abortion coverage is in it, it won’t pass, if it’s not in the bill, the hard-left will vote against it and it won’t pass. As for the Senate, there are enough senators to prevent this from even getting to the floor.
Not to mention that the practicing Catholics on the left will leave in droves given the onslaught.
