Today we honor each and every veteran that has served or is serving our great nation.
This Veterans Day take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes and their families. When our nation called these men and women answered.
We will forever be in their debt.
The NRCC released this tribute today:
Today we want to reach out and say thank you for your service.
Local radio host Jamie Allman posted a wonderful tribute to his father and son for Veterans Day.
Michelle Malkin added:
Applebee’s honors vets and active duty military with a free meal today. Krispy Kreme is doing the same. Or take a vet out to McCormack & Schmick’s or Golden Corral for a special dinner.
Must-read Veterans Day tributes at milblog Mudville Gazette and from Blackfive’s Matt Burden, who reminds us: “It’s about the living.”

It Has Always Been The Soldier
It is the soldier,
not the President who gives us democracy.
It is the soldier,
not the Congress who takes care of us.
It is the soldier,
not the Reporter who has given us Freedom of Press.
It is the soldier,
not the Poet who has given us Freedom of Speech.
It is the soldier,
not the campus [community] Organizer who
has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
who salutes the flag;
who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
that allows the protester to burn the flag.
~ Father Dennis O’Brien, US Marine Corp. Chaplain
Thank You!!
God Bless America!
God Bless Soldiers everywhere for putting THEIR
lives on the line to protect us ALL from terrorism!

Outback Steakhouse is giving vets a free blooming onion today as well.
I hope our President doesn’t use his address at Arlington to talk about himself. Let today be about someone else for once.

Thank you, veterans!
And, thank you to the businesses that are doing things to honor vets today…

May God protect our brave men and women from the enemies of our republic, and the fools in the U.S. government, who seek their demise.

We should get on the phones today about David Hamilton

I have written about David Hamilton before.
He is the federal judge who believes it is a violation of the first amendment for Christians to pray at school events, but is not a violation of the first amendment when Muslims pray at school events.
He is also the judge who was cited by the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals for abusing his power by keeping an injunction in place on an informed consent law despite the law clearly being constitutional.
Barack Obama has naturally appointed the man to the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals — the very court that said Hamilton had abused his power.
Call your Senator today and tell him to vote against cloture on David Hamilton’s nomination. Call 202-224-3121. Ask for your Senator. Tell him to oppose cloture and oppose the nomination of David Hamilton.

I will repeat: Just got this from a friend and would like to add it to the wishes for our vets. It’s called “A prayer on this day”
“Let us thank God for all the men and women who served, in war and peace, in uniform and undercover, to defend our country and her allies. God bless them all, as He has blessed us all through their devotion and sacrifice.”

To the fallen soldiers of Fort Hood and their families, my heart is with you.
To all the soldiers that serve and have served our “last best hope for mankind,” my family and I owe you an immeasurable debt of gratitude.
To my neighbor, Rich, from Yonkers.. we will never forget the heroes of Vietnam.
To my Dad, Ed, hero of Okinawa, my eternal thanks for earning me the right to live free.
To our President, there is little “incomprehensible” about the murders at Fort Hood.. terror exists, there is nothing unexplainable about it.. name the evil and man up to its face.. you owe these heroes nothing less.

Today serves as a reminder that our freedom has never been “free”. Since the first shot of the Revolutionary War to Iraq and Afghanistan, many have served and made the ultimate sacrifice to give us freedom.
But what makes our American troops the greatest in the world is that they have fought and died in hell holes all around the world for everyones’ freedom, not just ours.
I am humbled by our veterans.
WELCOME HOME!!
