Code Pink Activists Go After Elderly US Veteran Then Blame Him For the Attack–

Code Pink socialists and Cindy Sheehan an Code Pink activists attack a US veteran at Travis Air Force Base this weekend.
(At 1:45 minute mark)

The Code Pinkos screamed, “Don’t push me!” as they attacked the veteran and called him a “Piece of crap!”
Did you notice how they cut out when the veteran lost his hat?

cindy sheehan
Leftist hero Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink activists attacked a US veteran at Travis Air Force Base in California this weekend.
CBS13 and Sweetness and Light reported:

A Saturday rally led by anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan at Travis Air Force Base nearly ended in a brawl when a military veteran physically confronted the protesters.

Anti-war group Code Pink demonstrated at the military base Saturday morning in the first of six planned protests against unmanned military drones currently in use in overseas war zones.

Sheehan, a well-known anti-war activist whose son was killed while serving in Iraq in 2004, was leading the demonstration with a megaphone when a man dressed in a formal military uniform stepped up to her and berated her.

Videotape of the incident shows that Sheehan yelled “Get out of my face” through the megaphone at the man, who slapped the device away. Other protesters immediately joined Sheehan and traded insults with the man, and a shoving match broke out.

Military police quickly pulled the two sides apart.

The military veteran told reporters that he was upset with the anti-war protesters’ effect on troop morale. “They ruin the troops. They get to the troops. They did the same thing in Vietnam,” he said.

This story does not accurately report the attack on the veteran.
Watch for yourself.

I can defend him. He was voicing his opinion, just as they were. However, HE was assaulted by a megaphone. Loud noise , when used effectively, is a weapon. He had his hands at his side until the megaphone was shoved in his face. He wasn’t breaking the law and neither were they until they stuck the megaphone in his face; then it became assault..

Poor old guy. Senility is a horrible thing. That pathetic old coot, all dolled up in his beret and uniform and ranting about Vietnam, must have thought it was 1975 still. I hope the nurses make sure he gets his proper medication and plenty of sleep when he gets back to the nursing home or mental hospital that he broke out of.

Code Stink & Cindy Sheehan – Prima facie evidence of (apologies to, and exclusive of, all the wonderful women that post here) of terminal PMS with acute BDS complications.

Know why it’s called PMS? Because “Mad Cow Disease” was already taken. These women have proven themselves dangerously insane every time and every where they appear.

1st Amendment – still, these women are deranged, psychotic.

I think it is a bit dishonest to say that code pink “attacked” that man. He clearly came right up in their face in an antagonistic manner, which is his right, but these are women who, like it or not, have a right to free speech and a man of his size in the military should not have to physically get in their face. He could have voiced his opposition in a less antagonistic manner and I certainly did not see any “attack” by these ladies. They were rallying to the defense of their friend. Not sure why the veteran felt so threatened by these rather meek looking women.

Hey chris, come shove a bull horn in my face. I’ll show you how overrated freedom of speech is. You lefties are all the same, get in someones face, and expect them to just lay down and take it. It’s ASSAULT, plain and simple. The second she touched him, he was defending himself.

The irony here is that they were there to protest THE ONE increasing the troop numbers in Afghanistan. Cindy should set up shop in Chi-Town and protest! I’m sure Rezko & Ayers would love for her to do that!

Let me acknowledge I believe in free speech. My problem is when people present an agenda that hides another agenda. Sheehan has had the support of communist organizations in this country and in Europe. Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn sponsored one of her appearances in NYC. Bill Ayers visited Texas when she had her sit-in in Crawford.
In October, she appeared in Brunswick County NC. The lack of local indepth media attention to her appearance was non-existent…other than to call her a “Peace Mom”.
Slated to appear with her, and did not because of illness, was Ret Lt Col Robert Bowman. He’s a signer of the Truther Petition. Wonder if he knows Van Jones, Garafalo, the Sheens etc.?
If I know how to do an internet search, I would assume most savvy journalists would know how…never mind scratch the SAVVY.

A few weeks ago I read Lenin’s “To Do” list at some commenter’s link. It was in reference to Obama’s “dithering” and decision to put off his decision for another few weeks.

What jumped out at me at the time was “demoralizing the military and police force.”

This weekend it looks as though we have Code Pink and at least one unknown shooter in Washington state who, it could be argued, are attempting to do just that.

I’ve got to agree with Brad that this was nuts all the way around. The man did step into the crazy broad’s space in an attempt to intimidate and ended up with bullhorn in face. A few seconds later, a crazy broad physically assaulted him and accused him of physically assaulting her. The whole scene was just nuts. Poor behavior all the way around.

That being said, it’s Sheehan who surely needs to be medicated. If medication doesn’t work, a straight-jacket might. It’s no wonder her son joined the armed services; if she were my mother, I’d rather be on the front lines than at home, too.

Having been face to face with a number of Code Pinkos and Cindy Sheehan, I find no fault with what this veteran did. Once Sheehan assaulted him with the bullhorn all bets were off.

In retrospect he should have grabbed the bullhorn away and tossed it over the perimeter fence.

So how many times has that man been arrested in the past? I’d be willing to stack his record–or lack thereof–up against Cindy’s any day. She lives to get arrested and draw attention to herself, just like she lives to exploit her son’s memory–the son that she disowned when he enlisted and the son that she refused to talk to until he died on his second tour. If he was still alive today, he’d undoubtedly be at the front of the line of veterans and other patriotic Americans who just want to kick her ass into the next time zone.

And that’s all I have to say about that.

Freedom isn’t free and for all those who don’t want to support fighting for it, leave, its as simple as that. Nobody is forcing you to be in the US, leave. The anti-war protests do nothing constructive. Those who protest have no idea what to do if all the troops were pulled out immediately. Nor do they have any concept of what the consequences are if that were to happen.

Just look at what happened during Vietnam when these people got their way. Over 2,500,000 civilians were slaughtered by the Communists in Vietnam and Cambodia because the US stabbed those people in the back. Yes the US swore to protect the population of South Vietnam but then ran in such a fashion to make the French look brave. They left without any honor and gave the Communists the daggers to stab the civilians in the back with.

Disgusting people, disgusting and highly ego-centric. I remember chastising someone in college a couple years back who said that seeing pictures of Nazi concentration camps, knowing the intent and magnitude of the slaughter and seeing pictures of people who resembled walking skeletons was not enough of a justification to go to war–even if it were happening today right before us. Those who think like that are undeserving of freedom.

I’m tired of pandering to these complainers that they have the right to free speech and don’t question their patriotism.

Well, let it be said that they must be patriotic for an America other than the one that exists. They are not patriotic for the America we know and love. How can they be, when all they do is speak out against all that makes us what we are?

The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

The Vet started it by approaching them with the intent to start a confrontation. He got what he was asking for. As much as you (and I) dislike Code Pink/etc., they had a legal right to protest.

    So much to say…

Well, I hear the protests against the war. Ok. I too hate to see any American lives lost. Hate it more than I could ever tell any of you. Am I in agreement with the Pinkies? No.

    Why?

Because unlike them, I understand the “cost” of everything we are so generously afforded today. I understand that losing my friends in the 9/11 tragedy was because there is evil in the world, and that evil must be addressed. When I see this type of provocation from women who live comfortably under our ever-giving blanket of freedom, I question how best to ‘help’ them understand…

I am quite sure that being covered head to toe, being stoned in the street for being accused of adultery (which mind you is only if the man ’says’ she did it-and the woman cannot provide four male eye witnesses to agree), having their hands chopped off for stealing etc. would NOT be a way of life they would ‘get used to’.

This all comes at a cost. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, to every soldier that has ever served this great nation…

Bull’s eye. Notice how directly after knocking the bullhorn away and arguing briefly with Sheehan, as the vet steps to the side to create some space, the women keep stepping INTO his path. It was like they were penning him in, as they were also screaming ‘Don’t push me!’.

This is probably a planned tactic. Provoke a confrontation, seize it and try to magnify it, rather than let it calm down. At first opportunity, announce to arriving police that they want to press charges.

I can’t number the times conservatives were roughed up at various demonstrations, and decline to press charges.

Be forewarned- getting a physical confrontation is probably their intent, and they are desperate for sympathetic publicity. Don’t give it to them. Phil Ward should have kept some space between him and the protesters.

I don’t blame him for stepping up, however, and he was justified in knocking the megaphone away- that act was self-defense. If I were to witness a protester dragging Old Glory behind them directly in front of me, I probably would not be able to restrain myself.

    Best regards, Peter Warner.

Sheehan put her microphone into his face (to either shut him up or drown him out) and when he reacted and her friend stuck herself in between, you can see how happy Sheehan was by the smile on her face. They intended to provoke.

That being said, I am sorry he gave them what they wanted (more publicity) instead of a swift kick and a bandaid.

Freedom of speech does not guarantee freedom from the consequences of your speech.

It often amuses me at how little tolerance for rebuttal these supposed exercisers of their free speech rights have; They are full of the spirit of free speech only so long as they are the ones speaking.

Had I been the gentleman in question, I likely would not have approached quite so closely for reasons of hygiene if naught else, but the moment that screeching harpy touched my face with the bullhorn I would probably have head-butted it down her nasty treasonous throat, purely out of a fear for my own safety, once sight and hearing of my surroundings had been denied to me in the midst of an angry mob.

It’s fortunate for the Code Pinkists that their scurrilous lies about our veterans are not true, else this gentleman might have had a full-blown PTSD episode and started stacking corpses.

But then, they know they safe because they know their lies are just that.

    Disgusting parasites.

Just have CODE PINK open their financial records and see how “impromptu” they are. Sheehan even flew to Venezuela kiss up Hugo CHavez, something that would set her son who as a genuine hero, thoughtful and serious, to spinning in his grave – that she sprawled herself across in a ugly political cheesecake for a photo-op.
Code Pinkos were in AFghanistan last month. They showed up in Washington, DC to jump at Dr. Rice during a Congressional hearing – blood-red hands around her HEAD and FACE. Then the same trick against Rumsfeld a few months ago, “bloodied” hands in his face, one inch from his eyes, shrieking and shouting.
    They sure do get around.
The PINK is a cynical disarming political trick to make them seem nutty or harmless. They were filmed a couple years ago mocking high school kids touring by the WHite House, taunting them with grotesque rendition of “America the Beautiful” – a pre-planned “hit” knowing hundreds of students across the states were in DC for a chorus competition for that song. Freaking nasty old cranks MOCKING teenagers!

They aren’t about “free speech,” they are like the Islamofascists who abuse and manipulate the system to undermine it. They have a lot of enablers, like the congresspeople who allow them access to hearings knowing they’ll disrupt, and wanting Code Pink to make a mockery of government and social structures – let them do it and pretend the Democrats were innocent.
Since they deliberately provoke people, they shouldn’t be allowed to just show up anywhere they think is most advantageous to their strategy to infuriate decent people.

Don’t put words in my mouth, Mr. White; you seem to be having more than enough trouble managing the ones coming out of your own.

I said nothing of the sort, and see nothing of the sort in the video.

As far as I can see from the video, it appears that the uniformed man was struck in the face with an implement & intentionally subjected to a dangerously loud noise; he defended himself to the minimum extent necessary, and went no further. He was then assaulted by others to whom he was no threat.

Actions have consequences, even when they are actions to which one has a right, such as speech. Or self defense, for that matter.

Last time I checked, though, speech is a protected right, as is defense when assaulted… but physical assault with a megaphone was not.

Clearly, you have serious reading comprehension issues; I already said I would not have gotten that close to that demented harpy. I’m too fastidious to come within spittle range of such people.

Nonetheless, “stepping into the personal space” of a person is not illegal. Brandishing an implement and striking someone with it, is.

You are seeing only what you want to see. Therefore, there is no point in attempting to reason with you.
