Except, of course, that Mr. Spock did not have this kook as his mentor:

The Associated Press insists that the ditherer and waffler in the White House and former ACORN organizer is like Mr. Spock.
FOX Nation reported on the latest AP propaganda piece:

He shows a fascination with science, an all-too deliberate decision-making demeanor, an adherence to logic and some pretty, ahem, prominent ears.

They all add up to a quite logical conclusion, at least for “Star Trek” fans: Barack Obama is Washington’s Mr. Spock, the chief science officer for the ship of state.

“I guess it’s somewhat unusual for a politician to be so precise, logical, in his thought process,” actor Leonard Nimoy, who has portrayed Spock for more than 40 years, told The Associated Press in an e-mail interview. “The comparison to Spock is, in my opinion, a compliment to him and to the character.”

Until now.

Obama’s Spock-like qualities have started to cause him political problems in real world Washington. Critics see him as too technocratic, too deliberative, too lacking in emotion.

Obama’s protracted decision-making on a new war strategy in Afghanistan, for example, prompted criticisms that he’s too deliberate. Former Vice President Dick Cheney, former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and other conservatives faulted Obama for “dithering.”

While it’s the slow decision making that has conservatives upset, especially when it comes to national security, it’s the science content of the presidential agenda that have the geeks insisting he’s gone where no nerd has gone before.

Obama was a lawyer, organizer and author before he turned politician. So his interest in science wasn’t as obvious until he reached the White House. Now, privately he’s known to relish the ability to call smart people, especially scientists, to come to the White House to talk about their fields. The more obscure and complicated the field, the better to feed the inner science geek.

Oh brother.
Obama “relishes the ablity to call smart people” to come talk about their fields.
That’s why the most frequent visitor to the White House is the SEIU’s Andy Stern, a radical socialist.

It all depends on what you mean by “Mr. Spock”. Maybe Obama is Mr. Spock in some bizarro universe, but I’d wager dollars to donuts that Mr. Spock would never agree with the AGW hoax and he would never attend a conference on the subject after it was disclosed that all the raw data supposedly supporting such a radical and expensive economic redistribution project had been ‘accidentally destroyed’ because of a move. Obama is more like Spock’s relative an irrational type who went wandering the universe in search of utopia only to get nearly destroyed in the process.

Mr. Spock made prompt decisions without reference to politics nor personal considerations.

Mr. Spock does not think that Austrians speak Austrian.

Mr. Spock does not think that there are 57 states.

Mr. Spock does not comment about police actions before getting all the facts.

Mr. Spock does not need a teleprompter.

Mr. Spock knows a lot more about Churchill than Obama does.

Mr. Spock is a science officer, Obama is a lawyer and a community organizer.

The only reason why there is any comparison between Mr. Spock and Mr. Obama is that they both have large, prominent ears.

What is glaringly obvious is the manifest difference of what is between them.

Keep in mind the people believing this kind of stuff bear to the left of Obama on the IQ bell curve. So naturally they see him as smart. He is smarter than they are. But just the fact that he operates from a communist worldview reveals him to be a high functioning idiot totally out of touch with the realities of history. I mean this guy sat in Rev Wright’s church for twenty years without a clue.

Spock was a Vulcan, he made decisions based on logic. Since he was also half human, he would most likely laugh his ass off at ideas Obama likes.

Obama is the black Carter, and not the good Carter (as in Samantha Carter) but rather the really, really, really, REALLY bad Carter (as in terrorist loving “JIMMEH!” Carter)

The Pelosi-Obama-Reid regime as Star Trek!

Agreed that Spock was #2 to James T. Kirk, so Barry is to Spock as X is to Kirk. Solving for X, is Sarah Palin Kirk in this scenario? Seems that Barry was trying out for her part in the last election, anyway.

What Barry needs now is a good ol’ boy sidekick like Dr. McCoy to make him act more human.

And Hillary Clinton — is she nurse Chapel or just one of the blue aliens with fuzzy antenna?

To the energy barrier at the edge of the galaxy and beyond!

If only Obama had a team of writers to insure that everything he did turned out well, like Spock had. If only his “crew” also had writers to make sure they looked competent, efficient and wise. If only this was a made up story, like Star Trek.

At the end of the day Kirk was the captain of the ship, spock was the “science” officer and rarely piloted the ship.
The few times that he was in command, the crew considered him weak because he took too long to decide the next course of action.
Obama would be more comparable to Uhura.

The only similarity in an analysis of the fictitious character Spock and obamao is the size of their ears. Another similarity is both are really fictitious characters. Spock was created by a single writer. The obamao took an entire media working 24/7/365 to create and is a work still in progress.

He is like Spock in that he doesn’t appear to actually feel anything, other than anger at anyone who opposes his Marxist agenda.

But in the latest Star Trek movie, Kirk had to kick his ass (by getting his ass kicked by Spock) in order to get him OUT of the commander’s position, and do what had to be done to save Earf.

Not that I’m the first to point this out, but that is the glaring difference between the two that makes the article utterly ridiculous.
