Barack Obama’s Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings founded the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). Recently he was appointed by the Obama administration to run the Office of Safe & Drug Free Schools in the US Department of Education. In 2007 Kevin Jennings was paid $273,573.96 as the executive director of GLSEN.
In 2000 GLSEN held an anniversary conference. From the content of the workshops it was clear that the organization was not so much about tolerance as it was about teaching children about sex. This conference was fully supported by the Massachusetts Department of Education, the Safe Schools Program, the Governor’s Commission on Gay & Lesbian Youth, and some of the presenters even received federal money.
In this clip one of the activists asks 14 year olds, “Spit or swallow?… Is it rude?”
The clip is from a lecture by Scott Whiteman from Mass Resistance. Scott attended the GLSEN conference on March 25, 2000 undercover. He recorded this clip at the GLSEN Conference.

This conference was held at a college where if kids wanted to go they had to get themselves there all on their own and decide to go to the topical forums/seminars. This wasn’t held at a public school, and it’s dishonest to say this was a talk for 14 year olds as opposed to high school age kids.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled yesterday against parents who sued their local school district after their elementary-age children were given a sexually charged survey, saying there is “no fundamental right of parents to be the exclusive provider of information regarding sexual matters to their children.”
The three-judge panel of the full court further ruled that parents “have no due process or privacy right to override the determinations of public schools as to the information to which their children will be exposed while enrolled as students.”
Six parents sued the Palmdale, Calif., School District after finding out their kids had been asked a series of sexual questions in class. They included asking the children about the frequency of:
Touching my private parts too much
Thinking about having sex
Thinking about touching other people’s private parts
Thinking about sex when I don’t want to
Washing
myself because I feel dirty on the inside
Not trusting people because they might want sex
Getting scared or upset when I think about sex
Having sex feelings in my body
Can’t stop thinking about sex
Getting upset when people talk about sex
Judge Stephen Reinhardt wrote the unanimous opinion for the court [.pdf document]. Referring to the fact the parents lost their case at the district-court level, Reinhardt wrote:
We agree [with the previous ruling], and hold that there is no fundamental right of parents to be the exclusive provider of information regarding sexual matters to their children, either independent of their right to direct the upbringing and education of their children or encompassed by it. We also hold that parents have no due process or privacy right to override the determinations of public schools as to the information to which their children will be exposed while enrolled as students. Finally, we hold that the defendants’ actions were rationally related to a legitimate state purpose. [emphasis Reinhardt's].
Carrie Gordon Earll is director of issue analysis with Focus on the Family Action.
“Anyone who wonders why pro-family organizations like ours have been so concerned about activist courts only has to look at this case,” Earll said in a statement. “The 9th Circuit did more than rule against parents who were upset that their elementary-school-aged children were being asked explicit questions about sex in class. They told all parents they have no right to protest what public schools tell their children.”
Continued Earll: “What the court did here is declare parenthood unconstitutional. It’s long been the liberal view that it takes a village to raise a child – but never before have the ‘villagers’ been elevated, as a matter of law, above mothers and fathers.”
The controversy began in 2001 when a volunteer “mental health counselor” at Mesquite Elementary School set out to conduct a psychological
assessment test of students in the first, third and fifth grades.
A letter to parents asked for their consent to conduct the study but did not indicate that questions of a sexual nature would be asked. The survey included 79 questions divided into four parts. Ten of those questions were of a sexual nature.
According to the court’s opinion, the plaintiffs took action after their children participated in the survey and later told their parents about the sexual questions. Seeking damages and injunctive relief, the parents charged the district violated their federal constitutional right to privacy.
The lower court had ruled against the parents, saying the right “to control the upbringing of their children by introducing them to matters of and relating to sex in accordance with their personal and religious values and beliefs” does not rise to the level of a fundamental right protected by substantive due process.
Wrote Reinhardt: “As with all constitutional rights, the right of parents to make decisions concerning the care, custody and control of their children is not without limitations. In Prince v. Massachusetts, 321 U.S. 158 (1944), the Court recognized that parents’ liberty interest in the custody, care and nurture of their children resides ‘first’ in the parents, but does not reside there exclusively, nor is it ‘beyond regulation [by the state] in the public interest.’ For example, the state ‘as parens patriae’ may restrict parents’ interest in the custody, care and nurture of their children ‘by requiring school attendance, regulating or prohibiting the child’s labor and in many other ways.’”
Reinhardt also cited previous cases that upheld the right
of schools to educate children about issues of sexuality.

These included: homosexual oral sex techniques, inserting one’s entire hand in someone else’s rectum, sado-masochism techniques, girls using “dildos” and rubbing their sex organs together for pleasure, and much more.
When we revealed this to the world a few months later it made national news. It was reported in all the Boston media – radio, TV and newspapers – and several national networks. FOX News came to Boston from New York to report on it. We made sure that each member of the Massachusetts Legislature was given a copy of the tape.
GLSEN (and Kevin Jennings) did not dispute that the recordings were genuine or that the events did not take place as we described them. Instead, they tried to get a court to ban the tape and sue us. In fact, Jennings defended the event.
But the Massachusetts Legislature wasn’t fazed. They caved in to the powerful homosexual movement. They have continued to fund GLSEN with taxpayer money. And in 2006 the Legislature wrote GLSEN into the general laws as a mandated member of the tax-supported Massachusetts Commission for GLBT Youth. This is the low opinion that our legislators have of your children.]

I oppose execution in most cases, but a functioning, healthy society should not allow anyone who sexualizes a child to live.

The only comfort I can take is that Roman ideas survived the fall and Civilization flourished again after a period of great suffering. Except for several states in the U.S., the legal age for sex is 16 years and up to 18 – only three are at 14/16 years. Anyhow, if you’re not legal, you are a child……at least that is how I see it; therefore a legal person having sex with a child would make you a pedophile.
You’ve got to ask yourself why are children being taught sex education in the first place. Since when should sex education be considered something teachers or nurses or whomever should teach in school – it is none of their damn business in the first place. Everything starts somewhere, and now a child can get an abortion without parents being notified, and it seems teachers can teach whatever the schools want to be taught. It is up to parents to make a stand and not tolerate this crap. Who pays their wages anyhow?

The schools are totally duplicitous in these matters. One of our schools offered an “abstinence class,” for 14 year-olds. Oh! sounds great! Parents got the notice and had to give their permission, which most did.
The two “abstinence facilitators” described every sex act under the sun, in vivid detail. Kids had their jaws dropped. Our kid came home and asked “did you know about THIS and that such and such means THAT?”
Actually NO, because we don’t hang out at strip joints, gay baths, pole-dancing clubs, juice bars, mud-wrestling venues, airport restrooms, and subscribe to such august magazines as HUSTLER.
The bait and switch game then continues with the totally cynical follow-up trick of, “We tried ‘abstinence’ programs and they don’t work.”
Yah. Do not ever take any schools’ word for ANYTHING anymore. They’ve lied too many times to be allowed the benefit of the doubt.

Here in MA they REALLY ARE intent on indoctrinating the children. In Lexington the parents were told they have no say over what is taught about homosexuality to their children. First and second graders are given reading books that promote gay marriage. And the conference in Boston? Taxpayer funded, including the buses to bring the children in from the suburbs. This is a particularly nasty group and one should be very careful in tangling with them. They have a lot of power in MA and will destroy you.

I was taught that when presenting at a seminar/lecture, the makeup of the audience should be considered to ensure that the material is appropriate. The discussion of “homosexuality” was appropriate, but, as others have pointed out, it could have been instructive regarding transmission of disease, rather than some crass reference to oral sex etiquette(if that’s what you can actually call it).
