Venezuelan Marxist Hugo Chavez told the global warming junk science conference representatives that “Capitalism is the road to hell” today during his lecture in Copenhagen.

(Reuters)
The Star reported:
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez painted capitalism as the enemy of the earth — not to mention the cause of AIDS, poverty and war — in a speech to the UN Summit on Climate Change that invoked Mohammed, Jesus Christ and Simon Bolivar.
“The cause of all this disastrous situation is the destructive capitalist system,” the Venezuelan socialist leader told delegates Wednesday.
“Capitalism is the road to hell.”Chavez has never met a microphone to which he didn’t have something to say. Wednesday was no different as he stormed through two centuries of economic theory, bounced around the globe and invoked the teachings of Brazilian liberation theologist Leonardo Boff, a champion of the poor who warned of the folly of seeking happiness through material wealth.
“I would exhort the government and the people of the earth … to say that if the destructive nature of capitalism exists, let’s fight against it and make it obey us,” he said. “If capitalism resists, then we have to give battle against capitalism and open our way to save mankind.”
But, the Venezuelan leaders attacks on capitalism did not bother the leftist representatives at the summit meeting.
They gave him a rousing ovation.
Andrew Bolt reported:
President Chavez brought the house down.
When he said the process in Copenhagen was “not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn’t that the reality of our world, the world is really and imperial dictatorship…down with imperial dictatorships” he got a rousing round of applause.
When he said there was a “silent and terrible ghost in the room” and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was deafening.
But then he wound up to his grand conclusion – 20 minutes after his 5 minute speaking time was supposed to have ended and after quoting everyone from Karl Marx to Jesus Christ – “our revolution seeks to help all people…socialism, the other ghost that is probably wandering around this room, that’s the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell….let’s fight against capitalism and make it obey us.” He won a standing ovation.

I know obama (if he had been there) would have been cheering him on, pumping his fist in the air, leading the crowd on.

That about sums it up. This is the true purpose of the so-called climate summit.

The total doucher tells a whole bunch of other douchers that capitalism is for douchers…and they cheer.
What a total doucher.
In another related oddity. What this total doucher didn’t say is how much money he expected to get from any UN deal in Copenhagen. Whats next? Chairman Obama saying, ‘The US will go bancrupt unless we pass cap and trade legislation?’
Hmmm……

Hmmm…and that’s taking from a dictator? A president for life? Now, how ironic when Venezuela is like #4 or #5 on our nation’s list of top oil importers where oil comes from unconventional oil and that the country rakes in hundreds of billions of dollars in selling oil to other countries?
Isn’t that captalism? Oh, my bad. That’s his oil…not the people.

I see Americans keep on buyin’ Citgo gas though……. SCHMUCKS !
Go and tell your Obama-supporting neighbors, friends and relatives that Citgo is owned by the Venezuelan government and Chavez is the chief cook and bottle washer there.
Know what you’ll get ?
“You racist bigoted…… blah blah blah blah. You want to hurt Americans who own Citgo gas stations !”
You know what…. as of now…. Yeah, I do want to hurt them and I’m no longer sorry about thinking that way, because the games are over. Done. Finished.
You’re either with The Constitution and our nation, or you’re not.
You buy and distribute product from a sworn enemy of America to sell to Americans…… Hey, guess what… aid and comfort to the enemy.
Treason.

Yah, well those countries certainly wouldn’t have any problem with receiving monies from capitalist countries to compensate for CO2 emissions, but somehow capitalism is the road to hell – more like the road to them receiving some big bucks for nothing.

It is unbelievable that so many people are being fooled by these crooks, in the name of supposedly saving the planet. This is about power, money, and control.
This is about stealing the wealth of the USA, and redistributing it to the less productive.
This is about moving closer to a One-World power stucture, that makes big decisions for the U.S. people, instead of the U.S. people making their own decisions.
This is about making the power-brokers, like Al Gore, in carbon trading and environmental venture-capitalism, richer.
That is why Chavez loves the green religion, and why all the socialists over in Copenhagen are applauding…because it can lead to the destruction of everything that makes the USA great, and the citizens free.
The 2010 Congressional Elections are critical to all freedom loving Americans.
December 16th, 2009 | 11:10 pm | #12
Update on the 2010 Congressional Elections:
U.S. HOUSE: Dems=258, Repubs=177, Republicans need to beat 41 democrats, and lose no Republican seats, to take the House in 2010, and to have the majority of votes needed to elect Republican John Boehner, as the new Republican Speaker of the House, and boot Nancy Pelosi out as the Speaker.
(takes 218 out of 435 seats to make a majority
in the House)
In the 1994 Republican Revolution, House
Republicans picked up 54 seats.
All of the House is up for reelection in 2010,
so all Democrats can be voted out in 2010.
———————————————————
U.S. SENATE: Dems=58, Repubs=40, Independent=2
(Bernie Sanders and Joe Lieberman)
Roughly 1/3 of the Senate is up for reelection every 2 years.
37 Senators are up for reelection in 2010, and
of those 37, 19 are Democrats, and 18 are
Republicans.
Republicans need to lose no Senate
Seats in 2010, and beat 20 Dems (gain 20 Senate seats)to have the 60 cloture-vote margin (filibuster-proof) to pass
legislation, but there are only 19 Democrats
up for reelection in 2010 to beat, so the
other 1 added Senate seat will have to be
done in 2012, if Joe Lieberman, the
Independent moderate, does not caucus (vote)
with them on enough legislation.
If the Republicans pick up all 19 Democrats Senate seats, and lose no Republican Senate Seats in 2010, they will have the Independent Senator Joe Lieberman, who caucuses (votes) with them some of the time, to give them the 60 Senate votes the Republicans need to pass some legislation in 2010.
In the 1994 Republican Revolution, Senate
Republicans picked up 8 seats.

reelection or retiring in 2010:

Castle and Christine O’Donnell challenging)

I don’t understand how (and I am talking about both parties) they can be loyaler to their party than they are to their country or the people who voted for them. It just doesn’t seem right.
I would pay money to see Pelosi and that fake smile ousted. Nancy, don’t let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out!

It is truly a sad day when Capitalism is characterized as the evil villain in such a setting especially when it is capitalism that has paid the way for so many of their journeys to Copenhagen. Just as this wonderful group of eco-friendly “revolutionaries” ignores their own carbon footprint as they skip around the globe to attend, they all fail to see that capitalism and free markets are what has given them a voice to even make the trip. Without American capitalism being exported for the last 200 years, many of the developing nations would still be mired in the 18th century. If in fact there was a “ghost in the room” perhaps it was the ghost of “gratitude” for all that capitalism has given them…

He curses capitalism, yet he demands the fruit of capatilist labors, as do those who no doubt applauded him. Remember the staggering amount of innovation that came from Russia, China, Vietnam, North Korea, parts of South America, and eastern Europe during the later half of the 20th century? Remember all of those amazing products that have become so ingrained with our daily lives we can’t contemplate living with out them?
…no? You can’t even name a single product line that the communists have created that you couldn’t do without? Huh.
I guess its back to bitching about capitalism on an Iphone, reclining in a ergonomic chair, sipping a Dr. Pepper bought from a 7-11.

This “climate conference” is all about how the developed nations can give money to the dictatorships of the developing nations, who will then put it in their personal Swiss bank accounts. It is not about climate.
How many developing nations have democratically elected governments?

So the little Commie Dictator gets a standing ovation for badmouthing capitalism, cheered on by pale effeminate little wristed children of rich white liberal ecofreaks.
I think we now see what “Hopenhagen” is all about” nothing but a meeting of the Communist International, under the guise of junk science. Listen, if the US Supreme Court really DID “steal the election” from Al Gore, each of the Justices that decided against him should be canonized.
December 17th, 2009 | 7:49 am | #23
The mask has been removed! The Global Warming fraud has been exposed, and they have nothing to hide behind. Chavez has shown that this whole charade is nothing more than a resurgence of Communism. No more games. The lines are drawn.

@ Kenny- CITGO station owners would not be hurt as they could re-brand.
Memo to World- America is a capitalist society and shall remain as such. Soros may have installed a Marxist puppet at our helm, and willing Fellow Travelers in congress may enable him, but We the People by virtue of our Constitution are in charge. There is power in numbers. There is few of them. Many of us.

It is obvious to everyone but the deluded that this climate nonsense is a fraud cooked up to redistribute the money. And, after ALL THE NOTORIETY, President obama jets in to pledge more of our money to this scam. Hearing the cheering for Chavez’s statement, doesn’t obama look around the place and realize he is in the wrong room? How come the “smartest man to be president” keeps NOT GETTING IT?
