Democrats voted unanimously to ram Obamacare through the US Senate last night.
All 60 Democrats voted for the nationalized health care plan.
All 40 Republicans opposed their rationed health care plan.
61% of Americans oppose the democrat’s power grab.
The vote was only possible after Senator Ben Nelson was bought off with $100 million in taxpayer money.
The AP reported:
Landmark health care legislation backed by President Barack Obama passed its sternest Senate test in the pre-dawn hours early Monday, overcoming Republican delaying tactics on a 60-40 vote that all but assures its passage by Christmas.
“Let’s make history,” said Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, shortly before the bill’s supporters demonstrated their command of the Senate floor in an extraordinary holiday season showdown.
Byron York shares his thoughts on the 1 AM vote.

Yes, Senator Harkin, you made history.
You are a member of the most corrupt Congress in the worst administration ever. What an honor you and your Democrat senators have bestowed on themselves. You have sealed your place in history forever.

[The very rich, of course, will be able to buy their way out of ObamaCare. Many of the best doctors will go cash only, opting entirely out of the Obama program, to cater to a wealthy clientele. But only the truly affluent will have the cash to escape]…

Democrats are preparing a suicide pact. They are guaranteeing a huge 2010 Republican Revolutions. The leaders of our party much unite and create a platform that speaks to the American people now…otherwise, we have no reason to whine about what the Democrats are doing.

We all know the drill. In cult like fashion no less sinister than David Koresh, the senate members are deprived of sleep, herded to gether for weeks at a time, disconnected from their families, threatened in unmentionable ways, to do the Master’s bidding. And for Nelson? Just another Judas for a bit more than 30 pieces.

[...] The Gateway Pundit reminds us that all this is possible and a 60 vote partisan Democrat vote ramming through health care thanks to the the buy off of Ben Nelson, that man of principle. Nebraska will receive $100 million in assistance for its state Medicaid program under provisions in the Senate’s healthcare reform bill negotiated by Sen. Ben Nelson (D). [...]

I’ve never shared my thoughts before, but believe it is time. I just sent the following to my Senator:
About 40 years ago as a very naive 20-something, I was gang-raped by a group of ‘friends’. At the time I blamed myself for allowing myself to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. It’s what one did at that time.
Well, all of the pent up anger and rage of forty years has just been unleashed. I’ve worked my entire life, paying my fair share, doing the right thing, providing for my future and that of my children and grandchildren. Today, I feel that I have again been gang-raped, again by people I should have been able to trust…the elected representatives of the people of the United states.
Rest assured, I will spend the remainder of my life fighting as hard as I can to remove these ‘trusted representatives’ from a position to ever rape a citizen again.
Sen. Landrieau, you may feel that by the time you’re up for re-election, we will have forgotten your treachery. I haven’t forgotten that first rape forty years ago, I believe I will remember this one for a long time.

“Let’s make history,” said Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa
That you have done Senator. You and the rest of your Democratic band have blindly jumped off that historic bridge to nowhere for your great leader BHO and you will find that the American people will watch you drown in your “history” come 2010 when you are replaced in the Senate. We wish you all well in your new endevors and don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
So yes Senator, “Let’s make history.”
