Back in January, before he signed his failed $787 billion stimulus bill into law, Barack Obama told America that everyone must sacrifice for the greater good. Everyone must have “some skin in the game.”

What he meant, of course, was that everyone would have to sacrifice to lift American out of the worst recession since the Great Depression except for Barack and Michelle Obama.

This week the Obamas are staying at an $8.9 million estate for an estimated $4000 per night.
Kristinn at Free Republic reported that First Lady Michelle was photographed last night in Hawaii wearing $635 per pair designer shoes by Maison Martin Margiela.

The shoe style is called “Leather open toe flat pumps.” It features a “thin nude leather strap across the top of the toe.”

Remember: Everyone must sacrifice.
The First Family feels your pain.

Kind of reminds me of the teenage arabs who wear 25 pounds of gold jewelry and the welfare check moochers who wear designer clothes. They always feel the need to compensate for some kind of insecurity. Materialistic rats the Obama’s are.

I’m sorry, someone was bitching about Sarah Palin’s clothes that she gave back because she did not buy them herself and did not ask for them, what did you say?

“The campaign advisers realized the kids, everybody, needed to be dressed,” Ms. Kline said. “This was a family that was about to stand before the world, and they just came with their everyday-life clothes.”

    -Lisa Kline

The polar opposites of their ‘everyday life’ clothes speaks volumes I think.

I don’t remember. Maybe she did or maybe her clothes were as scrutinized as her husband’s occasional days on the golf course were. I keep thinking about how many people could have had their hc insurance paid for instead of their vacation in Hawaii and Mrs.Obama’s outfit. I also wonder how many people have frozen to death this year in this country since the MSM hasnt plastered the homeless stories all over the news like they have done for the past 8 yrs. All I have seen are stories about how lucky we are to be Funemployed. I remember how the press admired Mrs.Obama $600. tennis shoes she wore to hand out gourmet food left over from the whitehouse parties at the food kitchen.

Let me be clear, everyone must have some skin in the game. Everyone must sacrifice. I will not be included. In fact, I need a bigger limousine and more of the taxpayer’s money.

Sure, there is record high unemployment but, I have my big house, my jumbo jet, my limousine, and my lush government paycheck. That’s all I need.

No, I will not be taking a pay cut for my poor performance as President. Just, the opposite, I will be giving myself a raise and spending your money on expensive vacations and expensive French clothing for my wife. I must look busy. Good day.

a tad OT, but just have to add this..

Thank you former President George W.
Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush

[Honestly, we don’t think President Gore would have been much better that day. The world needed George W. Bush, his bullhorn, and his indominable spirit that day…and we will forever be grateful to this man
    for that.

As we will always be grateful for what George and Laura Bush did this week, with no media attention, when they very quietly went to Ft. Hood and met personally with the families of the victims of this terrorist attack.

    FOR HOURS.

The Bushes went and met privately with these families
for HOURS, hugging them, holding them, comforting them.

If there are any of you out there with any connection at all to the Bushes, we implore you to give them our thanks…you tell them that a bunch of gay Hillary guys in Boystown, Chicago were wrong about the Bushes…and are deeply, deeply sorry for any jokes we told about them in the past, any bad thoughts we had about these good, good people.

You may be as surprised by this as we are ourselves, but from this day forward George W. and Laura Bush are now on the same list for us as the Clintons, Geraldine Ferraro, Stephanie Tubbs Jones, and the other political figures we keep in our hearts and never allow anyone to badmouth.

Criticize their policies academically and intelligently and discuss the
Bush presidency in historical and political terms…but you mess with
the Bushes personally and, from this day forward, you’ll answer to us.

We hope someday to be able to thank George W. and Laura in person
for all they’ve done, and continue to do. They didn’t have to head to Ft. Hood. That was not their responsibility.

The Obamas should have done that.

    But didn’t.

    Wouldn’t.

Thank goodness George W. is still on his
watch, with wonderful Laura at his side.
    ]

    God Bless America!

God Bless George & Laura Bush!

God Bless Soldiers everywhere for putting THEIR
lives on the line to protect us ALL from terrorism!

I hadn’t visited HillBuzz in a long, long time. Thanks for that one.

I’d heard there were three rentals but, having only heard it mentioned once, I wasn’t sure enough about that to state it as fact. It appears that it’s true.

Btw, wasn’t it cool of Reagan to stay at the White House each Christmas so that his agents and staff could stay in WA with their families? He was a good guy and a better prez. If only he hadn’t gotten caught up in that Iran-contra web and then made it worse by trying to feign ignorance about it, he would have been a spotlessly clean prez and all around American nice guy.

Holy crap! I never thought I’d read something like that. On the other hand, though, whether I agreed with former presidents and their policies, whether I found the likeable or not, or even trustworthy or not, I never thought any one of them didn’t care for this country, wasn’t proud of the USA and especially proud to be the POTUS. And never, not even in those first days and weeks after 9/11, did I feel unsafe in my native land.

Hell, I never even imagined that there’d ever be elected a POTUS who didn’t care for the US, much less hate her. May God and the glory of Smith and Wesson help us.

All that’s changed with #44. The POTUS hates the USA and I’ve never felt more vulnerable as a US citizen.

I remember those working trips, too, and how, if called upon to make a statement to the press, he didn’t sound like a whining child whose mother just dragged away from his favorite video game, which is exactly what your president sounded like in this clip. MO is a national embarrassment. She lacks grace and class. Plus, she has a massive chip on her shoulder and an ugly scowl. There is nothing beautiful about her despite the attempts of the MSM to push such propaganda.

Some of her outfits are hideous. When she does wear something stylish, it is usually ill-fitting.

She lacks refinement and poise. She has poor posture. She does not know how to conduct herself. There is no excuse for this as she has 22+ attendants.

and your BDS slip is showing..

    An Absentee and Complacent President

[But the Office of the President bears some extra responsibility and yes, burden. As former White House Deputy Press Secretary Scott Stanzel astutely points out, this was a president who was woken from sleep at 6:00 am to learn he had won the Nobel Peace Prize but wasn’t even informed of this attack on our homeland for over two hours. And if anyone knows the President’s priorities, it is his closest advisors.

    [..]

Being the president is not an easy job. The man deserves a vacation. Just as President George Bush did when he went to Crawford, Texas or Ronald Reagan to California or Bill Clinton to Martha’s Vineyard. President Bush on these “vacations” found time to visit with nearly twenty heads of state in Crawford, and in 2002 he wired his ranch so secure video conferencing with intelligence officials could take place. In other words, Crawford, TX was indeed the Western White House. Hawaii and Martha’s Vineyard has so far not given President Obama that same ability to project leadership.

Of course, this past year, the President has not given Americans any further proof that he takes the War on Terrorism seriously, or the role of American leadership. Engaging usually meant apologizing. War on Terror became a Contingency Operation. Military tribunals became constitutional rights for non-American enemy combatants. The CIA became a convenient target rather than a critical weapon. When protesters died in the streets of Tehran, he was silent.]

Hey, you won’t get any grief about your former life as a Democrat from me. I’m and Independent, have never toed either party line, have never registered with either party. If I shared my voting record from POTUS here, the regulars and other readers would give me a verbal lashing and maybe even run me off. :o Let’s just say that in presidential elections, I’ve voted Republican, Democrat and Independent, whichever sincere candidate’s positions and proposed policies I thought would be best (not interested in voting for a sh*t-talking used care salesman playing politician).

One thing about Glenn Beck that rings true with me is pointing out the good and the bad in each party and their politicians. That neither Beck nor I can find any good to point out in this administration is the fault of the administration. Having listened to him on the radio for years before he went big time cable tv news, I remember him complaining about some of GWB’s actions and policies, something libturds swear never happened. I agreed with most of his complaints, too. He also liked some of Bush’s policies and decisions, as did I. Not that I always agree with Beck, either, but I find his party-blind objectiveness to be both refreshing and smart. If the rest of the media had been so objective about GWB, BDS might never have gone epidemic, paving the way to the White House for the IslamoMarxist In Chief we’re stuck with now. Next to the GWB as created by the media – not the actual man he is and POTUS that he was, but the GWB character they created – a fresh, steaming pile of horse dung would have seemed a better choice than any Republican (aka the party of The Evil GWB), as is evidenced by the fresh, steaming pile of horse dung that currently sits in the Oval Office. (The nomination of McCain didn’t help, either. Not even Palin could save that ticket.)

Anyway, I think all voting Americans would be better off if we’d look at our politicians, both the ones we voted for and the ones that we didn’t, as neither saint nor sinner, just people who, if we choose wisely, get it right most of the time and make mistakes sometimes, too. That goes double for people who vote for parties rather than people. (More objectivity and constructive criticism of their politicians on the part of Democrats might have saved their party from being hijacked by Marxists.)

Fwiw, I still don’t toe the GOP party line and likely never will, but I do plan to register Republican and need to get it done soon, too, so that I can have a say in which conservatives will be replacing Democrappers as reps for my district as well as casting a vote for Palin’s nomination in the prez primaries. After 2012, I plan to change it back to Independent ’cause that’s who I is.

That’s probably way more than you ever wanted to know about the world of party politics according to the Auntie.

It’s all the hatred and anger inside her that absolutely prohibits her from gracefulness. It’s most likely what makes her posture look so awkard, too, as if she’s folding her shoulders in and over herself, shielding and containing herself from others. The hatred and anger have permanently etched the lines of scowling and frowning into her face, so they’re still visible even when she forces a smile for the cameras. And her hatred and anger prevent her from being relaxed around and in front of others. Anger and hatred haved robbed her of grace and ease.

Class comes from being comfortable around people and, most importantly, helping others to feel comfortable and welcomed with you. The outrageously priced outfits and shoes are probably just an attempt to “put on” class, but money and the things it buys just aren’t substitutes for class.

Think of Barbara Bush in her plain, grandmother-goes-to-church frocks and that string of pearls. Except for possibly the pearls, nothing she wore was expensive and definitely not high fashion. Yet she carried herself with matronly grace and class, a fine American family matriarch, and treated people with warmth that put them at ease. What she wore was grandma frumpy but what we saw was grace and class. It’s all on the inside. And what’s inside MO-Mao is ugly.

The Obamaos just don’t belong in the positions to which a little more than half of the voters put them and, a year into it and still not having grown into it (or at least learned to fake it) it’s plain that they’ll never grow into it. We see it, heads of state and dignitaries around the world see it. And despite all the hard work and spin of the western lamestream media, even the regular folks are seeing it. (What’s scary is that it seems all dictators were and are classless people who, once having lucked or lied their way into power, believed themselves somehow entitled to it just the same and refused to let it go.)

bg, I spent a little while reading at HillBuzz. I’m pleasantly surprised that they didn’t cave and throw their support at Obamao in the months since he took office. The treatment of Clinton by Obamao’s campaign and the DNC was a wake up call to Hillary Democrats that they were being used and lied to by their party and the media. I’m glad that at least some of them haven’t gone back to sleep. Some have even discovered that they’re more conservative than they realized…well, once they learned that what the mainstream media and the DNC told them about conservatives is mostly BS.

HillBuzz’s apology for their BDS-induced poor treatment of GW and Laura Bush was touching. It was also impressive; it takes a big person to publicly admit that they were wrong and to apologize for being so mean and hateful, especially when it’s eight years of hate they’ve got to apologize for. It’s a lot easier and doesn’t take much courage to just be right (or simply insist you’re right) all of the time.

    Thanks again for that link.
