For the first time ever, Israel has called ALL of its ambassadors and consuls home for meetings this week in Jerusalem.
The meetings opened today.
MFA.gov reported:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman, will host a conference next week (27-31 December) for Israeli Heads of Missions. At the conference, Israel’s ambassadors and consuls general serving throughout the world will discuss broad diplomatic and strategic issues.

This is the first time a conference for all of Israel’s Heads of Missions has been held. The idea is to facilitate direct dialogue with the country’s leaders, mutual updates on major diplomatic issues, and a discussion of action plans to deal with the challenges awaiting the State of Israel in the international arena in the coming year, including the Iranian threat.

There’s something big on the horizon in Iran; of course, our president the baboon is off playing while the world is on the brink of disaster.

The world led by liberals, socialists, haters and anti-semites has abandoned Israel, and so has America led by that muslim lying do-nothing ego maniac…Obamao. So Israel has nothing else it can do. Iran SAID “We will annihilate Israel”.. and are striving to do so while the UN twiddles its thumbs. SO BE IT.

Even Sarkozy complains about Obama. Domestically, Obama is clearly a Marxist but his foreign policy calculus is incoherent. The Israelis are nothing, if not realists. Beyond their intelligence on Persian nuclear ambitions, Israel has suffered at the hands of Iranian funded terrorists. They are not about to wait on a president contemptuous of religious Jews and the state of Israel. Nor are they prepared to rely upon anti-semitic multi-national organizations. They are the adults of the international community the left so adores.

    Jim:

Sincere thanks for putting this on GP. People need to understand the probable outcome.

You have no idea how much this flipped me out on the 24th when I read just the first two paragraphs of the press release – honestly, I thought it was some sort of incredibly well-done fake. I had to make sure it was the real deal before I sent it anywhere.

Anyone cares to see my take on this, head over to my page at RedState (click on my name up top of this comment block and it’ll take you right there).

I get really snarky, sometimes in a very subtle way and definitely kind of ‘out there’…. it’s also a really long column.

Somebody give me a better endgame for Israel and “my people” to survive the Muslims and the current US administration….. I’ll listen.

I was really flipped out when I saw this on the 24th and kept trying to confirm it – NOBODY short of a small blog post on American Thinker even acknowledged the existence of that press release….. then this morning, yeah, it’s the real deal.

I can’t envision more than two outcomes possible….. a shooting war or complete appeasement……. take a guess which Israel will choose

The EU and the UK are going to have an unrighteous snit fit, while the UN issues massive amounts of condemnations. If Obama had anything filling that scrotum his boyfriend fondles, he’d take out the North Koreans at the same time.

    Kerry of Tehran

His trip would convey legitimacy that the dictatorship
is especially eager to have at the current moment.

[But if a year of personal Presidential letters and Administration entreaties hasn't worked, why would a Senatorial trip? The regime would probably exploit the visit for its own domestic purposes, perhaps adding to its P.R. coup by releasing to Mr. Kerry the three hapless American hikers it has promised to put on trial for having "suspicious aims" as they wandered across the border with Iraq.

The Iranians who need support now are the democrats in prison, in the streets, and increasingly in the mosques as the regime loses its legitimacy even among many clerics. Please do them no more harm, Senator.]

My other post got lost. This article was in July 2009.

“The head of Mossad, Israel’s overseas intelligence service, has assured Benjamin Netanyahu, its prime minister, that Saudi Arabia would turn a blind eye to Israeli jets flying over the kingdom during any future raid on Iran’s nuclear sites.”

    http://israelmatzav.blogspot.com/2009/07/saudis-to-let-israel-flyover-to-attack.html

Didn’t Axelrod say they would shoot down Israeli aircraft if they flew over Iraqi airspace?

“Although Iraq is a sovereign nation, its skies are controlled by the American military. That said, allowing Israeli aircraft to ingress from Iraq is likely out of the question.”

Would our military shoot then down?

It shouldn’t be necessary for Israel to do this alone. Under Bush Israel would have had an ally but President Wrong has once again gummed up the works and sadly Israel will have to act alone. Will Obama’s US then attack Israel? Its a good recipe for starting WW3 — so he probably will.

    AnnS,

It gives the Iranians one more thing to worry about. They only have so many flyable aircraft, they recently lost their only AWACS bird to an accident (with all aboard), Iran has a limited number of sams and radar units.

There’s an old axiom that states “He who defends everything defends nothing”, and that’s basically, I believe, what Israel is trying to force Iran to do.

My sister was in Israel in November. The guy who lead the tour has been a consultant to the US government as well as the Israel government on Middle East affairs. He had a tour scheduled for 2010 but cancelled it due to his fear that there will be a war there in 2010.

While they were in Israel, they handed out humanitarian aid to Jewish immigrants who live near the Gaza Strip. Last year the community where they were was hit with approximately 4000 bombs last year coming from the Palestinians. The world cannot expect Israel to not retaliate.

Would we sit idly by if we had a community hit by 4000 bombs in a year? I don’t think so.

While they were passing out the supplies to these people they were told that if a siren or bells started that they were to head to the nearest bomb shelter which they had been shown.

Every new home in Israel must have a bomb shelter-type room built into it.

    What a horrible way to live . . . meanwhile B.O. golfs.

Strange. I do not think this is in response to Iran alone. This is apparently going to be a yearly thing.

It does strike me that Israel appears ready to take a larger role on the world stage. I am wondering if this is more related to the gas and possible oil discoveries recently.

Perhaps they just felt it was time to hold these annual meetings – but I suspect a precipitating event other than Iran.

    Sandy SaltNo Gravatar
    December 28th, 2009 | 4:23 am | #48

I have said it for a long time and it bears repeating, Israel has no friends that can be counted on now that Obama is President. The US will be conducting a withdrawal under fire from Iraq as she will stand with her sister.

This will wreck our economy as oil prices will soar out of control. Regardless of Obama, our long and close ties to Israel will cause the world to unite against us both. Obama thinks that by throwing Israel under the bus of world politics that he can save his legacy. The Muslim world won’t care and they will punish us right along with Israel for defending themselves.

I fully support not allowing Iran to have a nuke, but fear it is already too late. Iran is baiting Israel into a first strike to provide an excuse for nuking them. This is not going to be pretty and this showdown is probably long over due. We can only hope that the people of Iran throw off the yoke of dictatorship and turn the country around, this is my sincere hope and prayer because otherwise is untold deaths of millions.

Here the tribes have come, the tribes of the LORD, As it was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
Here are the thrones of justice, the thrones of the house of David.
For the peace of Jerusalem pray: “May those who love you prosper!
May peace be within your ramparts, prosperity within your towers.”
For family and friends I say, “May peace be yours.”
For the house of the LORD, our God, I pray, “May blessings be yours.”

Actually, what is happening falls in line with Ezekiel 38 and 39. And Israel wins without the help of the US. It is frighteningly close right now to what the Bible said will happen.

The discovery of massive oil and natural gas reserves under Israel . . . desertion by friends . . . Russia forming alliance with Iran . . . it is all there. If you want to know more, read “Epicenter” by Joel C. Rosenberg. He covers what is happening in Israel at his website.

If Israel is really going to make a move, you’ll see visiting Israeli professors at American universities in certain disciplines start vanishing suddenly. Crypto/SigInt, Farsi language specialists, Meteorologists, Computer experts, etc. All of the disciplines needed to implement an attack.

That’s the way it went down back in the early 80′s when they went after the PLO in Lebanon…visiting professors suddenly vanished with little explanation a month or two prior to the invasion.

Well, we knew with America positioning themselves on both sides of Iran that soon the ultimately battle would be waged. Iraq and Afghanistan are on either side of Iran …Caspian sea to the north, ocean to the south, and Iran in the headlights.

Oh course were going to war with Iran, and of course America will do what God says…I mean Israel. I was a christian until I opened my eyes to the real motivation behind the church. I must believe in Revelation, right? I must follow Israel because they are God’s chosen people, right? Even if they keep people in concentration camps and bulldoze their homes with remote control tractors and machine guns. God says this is OK and as Christians we should obey God’s word. Iran is an enemy against God so they must be destroyed. God want’s this…right?

See why I left the church ….I recognized that I had been propagandized by the bible. I was sad and angry that I was mislead and thought surely there has to be a higher power at work. If there is it is not the God I was taught about. A loving God would never allow what Israel does to others and no human with a conscious or a heart should either.

hopefully one day we will understand why we fight wars and it’s never for peace but for profit. who will profit from this new war with Iran? That is the question that should be asked. Then you we will understand why we have duped by the media and our leaders both Political and Religious.

Benjamin Netanyahoo is a pox on the Jewish people. He puts a moratorium on settlement expansion in the West Bank when the land was clearly annexed after Israel whooped the neighboring country’s butts. He just wants to appease the anti-Semite Obama,l which isnt a wise thing to do and could very well cause the end end of Israel as we know it!

Seriously, what planet do you people live on? You’re more than happy to condemn Obama’s Christian church he attended, and then call him a “seekrit mooslim.” Get your heads out of Glenn Beck’s ass and get educated. The president isn’t a Muslim, just like GWB, he was a drug addict who turned his life around when he found Jesus. The fact that you people vote terrifies me. Why don’t you go read up on how Fox News sued for the right to lie on air and call it “news?” (Yeah, really, they did, and they won.) I know this won’t change any minds, but god DAMN, I couldn’t stand reading what you are writing. You live in an alternate dimension and are blinded by your hate. Get with the f’ing program. You may disagree with every single thing the man says, but he’s the lawfully elected president of our nation, and we are a nation at war. Love it or leave it. (Sound familiar?)

BG Sorry not an Obama fan….Hope I didn’t disappoint you. He lies more than Bush. Remember the statement, “I will have the soldiers home in 6 months and that you can take to the bank.” Well I guess Mr. Obama’s bank must have went under or needed a bailout…because he did just the opposite he increased the troop levels.

Not a republican either …use to be….was awakened there as well.

I think that both sides are on the same team..the corporation and international bankers team.

I finally realized what a Republic stood for and I’m all in!

maybe the purpose of this meeting is to plan the aftermath of an attack on Iraq, and to heck with american interests? after all there’s no love is lost from the israeli side on americans, especially as they absolutely despise christians (whom they hold just a step above muslims). Israelis could care less how many american soldiers would die or what the results are for the america, much less for, say, Iranians. To the average Israeli, americans are merely considered freiers – something to manipulate, take their money, then laugh all the way to the bank. jewish americans they tolerate, much as one tolerates a slightly senile aunt. Of course, they have been manipulating – and threatening – obama for many months now (bush needed no manipulation. he just bent over and asked to be kicked harder).

Now, how come you guys don’t find it worrisome that a country that’s acting so increasingly irrationally, has well over 200 nuclear war heads? Iran has not attacked anyone in decades. But israel is a military with a state, suffering from a sever bi=polar disorder and extreme case of paranoia. and you trust them to do the ‘right” thing?

Sorry – I meant attack on Iran, not Iraq. Israel took care of making sure Iraq was invaded back in 2003. No need to repeat this failure as the country was suitably destroyed already. But Iran obviously could use some destroying -
